Student puts Obama on the spot

NO. That is not what I meant. Let me use an example of what I meant. If someone hits you in the face once, hit back, but don't go out and pick a fight with someone for no reason. Like attacking a US ship for no reason.

So you'd be cool for them to wipe out Lebanon and clear out all those pesky 'Palestinians' then? Seeing as Hamas are the ones who launch suicide, mortar, rocket, sniper and many other manners of attacks on Israeli civilians? :dunno:

Your example assumes one thing which renders it almost completely invalid: namely, that the forces used in each of these instances are or ought to be equatable to one another, measured by some quantifiable means. And further, it assumes that the intentions which ultimately culminated in these two applications of force are of equal measure of intensity. Clearly, however, when we are speaking about the conflict in the Middle East, your rubric fails to fully apprehend the fervor through which these nations and people intend themselves. When "someone hits you in the face once," and that single hit is sufficient enough to substantively alter the sanctity of your national security, and further, the intention which produced that "one hit" was to permanently eradicate your nation, a hit of equal measure no longer seems appropriate, does it?

Fine forget my statement. What I would like to know is what do you think gave Israel the right to attack a US ship

we could just stop trying to globalize everything and let them solve things...Let the wars roll, the ones standing in the end are the ones who will continue to grow.

Remember that the world used to have shifting borders....

Today we have solidified borders, one nation cannot overtake another no more, or else the U.S. or the UN will step in...

People are too afriad of war, let it come it is programmed into our destinies.

It is because man has become so stagnant and cowardly that we are reaching overpopulation levels, economies are dropping, plagues are appearing, each country is facing a growing % of internal risk of uprising, etc.

Even America is getting to the point where if you quiz random citizens a large chunk hate the government and would support something to get rid of corporations or the feds...

In an effort to solve others disputes, we are overlooking our own.

Let God worry about Israeli actions, and all of the middles east.

Once in a while V i actually see you make a valid and informed point about something. This isn't one of those times.

Don't even know where to begin with how wrong you are in the above.
