Well, the time has come. I talked to my doctor about some symptoms I was having and he tested my testosterone levels. It turned out that my free test was good, but my total test was well bellow normal. So, he prescribed androderm patches.
I've read up on this subject since he gave me the prescription, but now I'm wondering. I'm wondering if there is something else I should be taking to possibly affect my SHBG levels first? He didn't test those levels. I'm also wondering if an injection option might be better? This is a big step to take considering it will be a life long commitment.
Is there a way to restore my levels of I later decide this isn't for me? Say that six months I decide the blood tests or the cost are more than I want to deal with. Is there any going back? I guess that my initial excitement has given way to nerves.
