Squats on Squats on Squats. Journey to 500lbs!

Ok not gonna lie this is my first week taking a full week of vacation in 3 years so I am feeling a little lazy trying to type up the workouts. Feeling a massive update once the week ends.

Crushed 435lbs for a double on deadlifts and it felt pretty easy. Hoping to PR a double in bench tomorrow.

Oh and my hip doesn't feel too bad, but squat numbers are down. :(

Good job, man. Is that a PR? Are you just back home or something, or where are you vacationing?

I hit 434.5lbs for a double two weeks ago. :p

This felt easier, but I was also on a bar with a lot more flex.

Visiting some family in New York.

Wooooo for the half pound PRs!

Lol that kilo to pounds conversion!

So another small update. Even though the hip is feeling better I'll be playing it safe and staying 1 RPE lower on the rest of my lower body lifts for the week.

Getting ready to go bench. :)

Do you have a box to box squat on until it's better?

It feels better, but Mike wanted me to take it a bit easier for this last week. I did like a billion pause squats today with no issue other than feeling like death from the volume. Hips feel great today...

Let's hope it stays like that!

Ya definitely a little weaker though so that sucks. Oh well I'm looking at some good bench and deadlift numbers. :)

I have some high volume on deficit pulls tomorrow...pray for me lol

Deficit deadlifts were murderous in the best way today. Also got a supernova for Easter hahaha

Uh, what?

It's basically a mobility ball the size of a softball, but it is hard and pulls on you as you push into it. It's great for around the hips, hamstrings, in the armpit area, and back against the wall. Lacrosse ball is better if trying to do overhead motions with a ball in the scapula due to fitting better.

9/10 I grab the nova though.

Yep! I've used one a couple times and loved it. Hard to explain how it's different, but it really mashes out my hip better than just a sports ball.

I need the Gemini next...

I did 365lbs for 4 reps @8 for my top set yesterday followed by 345lbs for 4 reps for 4 sets: Invalid Link Removed

Despite about four down sets on every exercise this week (that's crazy volume lol) TRAC said this today:

Now time to determine all my attempts and options for next week.

Pulls looked super smooth again. Nice work. As looks like your recovery has been great!

Thanks man. Hopefully things keep going well up to competition on Saturday. :)

Ok so I am feeling too lazy to totally update with ALL of the training from last week. I'll update later with yesterday's training (worked up to openers), but last week is going to be lost in the "void".

Busy busy day again, but no lifting. :o

How long is the average training session in the program?

I don't know if it's just that the charts & graphs are triggering and "Ooo shiny" reaction in me, but this TRAC program looks really appealing for if/when I jump ship from 531

TRAC is just the computer recovery program, RTS is the training plan. :)

1.5-2hours on moderate stress days and 2-2.5hours on high stress days usually. This also depends on how much warming up I do.

Projected openers?

395lbs/230lbs/425lbs

Openers have you totaling 1050. First meet totaled 1000. That's what we like to see.

Try a month of TRAC for 1dollar on the site :)

I'm going to try it soon.

That is what I originally did I think. It is free though while I pay for coaching.

;) Ya if I didn't have this dingy hip issue right now I would be CRUSHING my results from exactly a year ago. Even with it I plan to hit several PRs this Saturday. I want to regroup, hopefully heal the hip up, then demolish some squat PRs in July. :)

When is your meet? Those look like damn good #'s you're gonna toss up

Meet is this Saturday. :)

So yesterday's training went like this:

Work up to opener (180kg-396lbs) on Squats. For some reason video didn't record on that set (I got pretty pissed lol), but here is the previous set (162.5kg):

Then work up to opener on Bench (105kg-231lbs) then do 1 set of 3 reps @8.5 (100kg):

Finished with working up to Deadlift opener (192.5lbs-424lbs):

I did this whole workout devoid of stims and music and tried to get as little "psych up" as possible. Didn't even really feel like I had done anything when I was done. :o

Looking good man! Plan looks solid, best of luck!

Thanks man. I am feeling ready.

So abbreviated update for today's lift:

Worked up on squats to: 162.5kg x 3 @7.5, then 175kg x 3 @8.5. Looked super smooth on tape. Confidence was up here, so nice to have that moving forward.

Worked up on bench to: 95kg x 3 @7, 100kg x 3 @8, 102.5kg x 3 @8.5, then drop to 97.5kg x 3 @8.5. Felt even better here then Monday. More confidence.

Went through my warm ups on Deadlift. Finished with:

Feeling pretty good at the moment. :D

This showed up today too, so expect a log popping up soon: Invalid Link Removed

Sheesh, didn't know this was going!

Sheesh, didn't know this was going!

It's kinda secret because I converted to kilogramism so the title isn't accurate. :p

Plan looks solid. I like the two plans thing. I may steal that.

Go ahead! Always smart to be well prepared IMO.

PS anyone following here I started a new Supplement log, but will be posting in both threads. Invalid Link Removed

Thanks guys! Update:

Lol didn't mean to post both pics

Also weighed in at the very top of the 165lbs class and I'm the only one in that class. So I'm pretending I'm 181lbs :p

Bonus was it wasn't too hard and my hip didn't hurt at all. :)

Missed 255lbs in bench blahhhh. Bench can go rot in a ditch I hate it.

Still got a 10lb PR though homie.

Disappointed. Cleaned the bar before my pull and it slipped out they hand. No excuses though I have some work to do after today.
