Still having the e-mail notification issue. The e-mail notification are coming up with an empty e-mail addy as the source. It was at one time: [email protected] which is on my safe list.
 
Then its your filter because mine is fine.
 
Hey, I just noticed the AM banner and glode is back up. :thumbsup: It made me notice that the Matt/CNW donation link is gone...intentional?
 
Nah...I had to revert to an old template to get teh flash working and ow I have to redo it. They have the paypal options built into vbulletin now so I am messing with that as well.


BTW- I got my notification. As long as you add @anabolicminds.com to your safe recipitents list then it will accept them. If not then its an issue with your spamfilter, not the board.

in OE, Tools, Options, Junk EMail, Safe Recipetents, Add, enter anabolicminds.com
 
"The necessary information from the 'From:' line of this message is missing or corrupted. Junk E-Mail Filter options cannot be set without this information. "
This is the message I am getting when I try to add the e-mail to my safe list. It was putting them in my inbox 2 days ago.
I just added, anabolicminds.com. Will see if that does it
 
You can't do it from the actual email. You have to manually go in and do what I stated above. Try to change the settings in the actual message and you will get that error.

There are a lot of things that were different 2 days ago, but that isn't now.
 
all AM e-mails are coming in to me as "Unknown Sender" now. I'll try to fix it from this end, but I'm not clear on why this is happening to some people now.
 
Mine says Anabolicminds Forum. Good enough for me.

Fixed a hardware problem on the HD. Thats what caused the recent downtime.
 
Still updating **** on the server so it will be slow and choppy for a bit until that is done.
 
Damn Bobo, you doing all this work yourself? You must not have time to sleep!! :) Great job bud, very devoted to all of your members here... Oh and a couple things I noticed (not trying to nitpick, just a heads-up) I can't make paragraphs in quick reply, and when I click on new posts, sometimes I notice that it doesn't update all of them....but it may just be temporary and choopy still like you said, so again just a heads up. :cool:

It updates them, just different than before. The search engine is completey different in 3.5 and will take some time to get used to. Its MUCH less server intensive and for the most part better.

Also remember there are 3 different formats you can have of the quick reply button. I use the standard one. Most people report problems when using the enhanced version.

All sponsors have me email address.
 
Noticed a problem, I read over the thread and didn't see it brought up. When I log in from the main page I get redirected to a page "profile.php" and I get an error page. i've just been logging in for replies and it seems to work then, but the error page comes up again when I close the browser and come back to the page later.

I like the newer site. Easier to use it seems. The threaded view of the posts is a handy thing too.
 
Hmm..tried it and I didn't get the error. I can't reproduce it either. Let me check it out.
 
If you get the error again, post exactly what it says.

You wind up at Page 1 of “Sorry about the board problems"

You don't reach the post that you tried to reach, just the frist page of the thread.

I tinhk I found the fix for this: Its a setting in Vbulletin

In order to conserve resources, vBulletin will allow search results to be shared among users for one hour. The downside of this is that search results can appear out of order if a thread is updated in the interim.

I disabled this so it should be work now.

Problem is that its server intensive. Nothing beats the hell out of a server more than the search function. The settings before are what caused problems with the old version so I am going to have to say no on this. I am sorry and know it will deeply hurt you but I think you can handle it ;)
 
You have to check for new posts a couple of times a day to keep up with it... Like me.. :D

Bobo, is the "time on board" thing gone for good ?
 
Not sure. I am bascially looking for new version of the million or so hacks that were on the other verios. So it just takes time tracking everything down.
