1. You need more frequent dosing. I'm on 100 mg T Cyp 2X a week (Mondays AM, Thusday PM). Trust me hormonal roller coaster is no fun. A little variation in levels is good, but you cant let your T fall to low T levels or youll feel crap. 2. Ask your doc about HCG. There are biological pathways that T shuts down and T supplementing does not replace. Some are not feasible to replace unless you have a lot of money (FSH), but pregnelone and LH can be roughly replaced inexpensively through HCG supplementation. 3. The way you feel will gradually improve over a period of a few weeks. I say by month 2 if you dont notice a change something is wrong. 4. Subtle changes. More energy, maybe more libido, better outlook on life, etc. A handful of subtle changes that add up to something meaningful. 5. Dont expect all your trouble to be fixed. It is not a magic pill. 6. Dont be lazy, take advantage of your more anabolic hormonal profile. Workout, do cardio, get healthy. 7. Avoid anti estrogens if at all possible. They have always killed libido for me and caused more harm than good. I generally feel less healthy and sick on them. If you begin to experience high E symptoms, Increase your dosing frequency and go SubQ to avoid the spikes which cause more conversion (aromatase activity). If this doesn't reduce E enough consider lowering your T dose. If you are converting that much maybe you dont need as much T. 8. DHT is good. A little aggression, acne and hairloss are a small price to pay for feeling alpha, staying lean and having libido. Trust me feeling like a man is more important than having a headfull of hair. You may not think that way now but you will as soon as you get on the low end of DHT and feel like a woman with no libido or sense of male aggression. 9. Chances are your blood pressure will go up. T causes your RBC, hemocrit and hemoglobin to go up. This can lead to an unhealthy BP especially if you are borderline hypertensive, overweight etc. This should give you more incentive to lose fat and get healthy. 10. Injections wont scare you after the first month, youll actually look forward to getting them. The pain is minimal and a small price to pay for feeling better. SUB Q is the way to go. Ive tried backfilling insulin pens (too messy and chance for infection is higher), 31 gauge (needle can bend and dull upon inject into vial because its so small (cause pain) and take forever to draw), 29 gauge (needle is sturdy, but draw time sucks), 21 gauge (harpoon: pain, soreness and bleeding), 23 gauage (ehhh), 25 gauge (perfect for IM with decent draw time)....................and I've finally settled on on 26 or 27 (TB pens) gauge 3/8" for SubQ injects in the belly or side glute fat area. The draw time is good, pain is minimal, the needle sturdy, and the short needle will make sure you dont actually do a shallow IM. 11. Low dose daily Cialis is awesome. My doc has a theory known as "Aversion". Goes like this: With low T your performance or erection quality may have suffered in the past so while your condition might have been caused by a physical thing, it unavoidably cause mental effects. Your confidence is reduced. When you introduce T, you may be solving the physical but the mental effects are still there. You have a mental aversion to sex. Your ego suffers. By making sure you erection quality will be great 100% of the time, your mind adjusts and learns that sex is nothing to fear. you mentally dont avoid or fear it. Your libido magically returns. Sound like BS? Well I can tell you I was one of those TRT guys with low libido and couldnt make sense of it. Daily Cialis has fixed this. Weird because everyone tells you PDE5 inhibitors dont increase libido, and they are right BUT libido also has to do with your confidence and ability to relax and not fear sex. Having 100 % erections solved this for me.
