Yes thanks for your reply also would ursa gel be more bang for your buck, I seen a studie where they used a plain extract which is meant to have poor biovailabilty, dose of 450mg and showed fat loss, strength and some lean mass gains, so could the gel with its enhanced delivery/absorption at one pump 70mg do what the basic powder could do at 450mg? Just wondering how much of that 450mg actually made it into the system to show those effects,Does a high percentage of the Ursolic Acid in Ursa-Gel reach the system compared to plain powder?
I want to clarify something for anyone following along:
We are discussing SNS Ursa-Bolic vs. Xtreme Performance Gels Ursa-Gel - and how both are better than regular Ursolic Acid because both have superior absorption and stay in your system longer.
To reply to your statement/question:

Both Ursa-Bolic and Ursa-Gel either one are going to be superior to regular Ursolic Acid. Regular Ursolic Acid has poor solubility and is rapidly eliminated from your system, so you would have to dose regular extremely high and very frequently throughout the day, and even then you would only absorb a small percentage.
So yes, a much higher amount of Ursa-Gel and Ursa-Bolic will be beneficial - it's not just about reaching the system though, its about avoiding rapid elimination from the system.
Both Ursa-Gel and Ursa-Bolic are advanced absorption forms of Ursolic acid that will get ursolic acid into your system much more efficiently and keep it usable in your system for much longer. They just accomplish it by two different delivery mechanisms.
Before I explain these in detail, I want to start off by answering a couple questions.
Which is better - Ursa-Bolic or Ursa-Gel?
They are both advanced absorption ursolic acid products that work in different ways - neither is really better than the other; when choosing between them, choose the one that is best for you, as in do you prefer capsules or topicals? And which are you more likely to use consistently?
(I'll use me as an example - I don't mind using topicals at all, but I am much more likely to miss a morning dose of a topical than a capsule bc I wake up last minute and am always in a hurry).
Availability is also an issue - Ursa-Bolic sold out fairly quick; the second batch sold out almost as soon as we got it in. We have another batch that will be available as soon as possible, but since it is a new branded ingredient, we had to wait for the company to be able to have more raw materials available. Neither they, nor us, was expecting it to sell out like it did, so there's been some scaling up.
Ursa-Gel:
Ursa-Gel is a topical ursolic acid that uses the Sodium Ursolate form. It contains 70 mg. per ml. and the suggested dosage is 4 ml per day. Ursa-Gel is applied topically and the carrier and penetration enhancers in the carrier deliver it into your system. This solves both the absorption and rapid elimination issues.
You've been here since 2011, so you may remember Avant Labs? The XPG products utilize the Avant carrier, which has long been considered the gold standard td carrier and each XPG product is customized/tweaked for maximum results of the active ingredient. Par Deus, the owner of Avant Labs, is the chief science advisor for Xtreme Performance Gels.
Ursa-Bolic:
Ursa-Bolic contains UrsaSORB, an Ursolic Acid Phytosome that overcomes the challenges associated with regular ursolic acid supplementation by encasing ursolic acid in a phytosome to help improve its absorption and address the issue of rapid elimination.
A couple of important key points:
- Some brands use some label trickery and will say things like liposomal or phytosomal, but if you look close, they never say that the active in encased in the phytosome; what you may actually be looking at is a proprietary blend where they simply add phosphatidylcholine and an active together in a blend - which does absolutely nothing to enhance the ingredient.
- UrsaSORB is encased in the phytosome and transparent - it tells you the total dose of UrsaSORB and the actual amount of ursolic acid it delivers.
- This ingredient was developed by a large branded ingredient company that has a team of scientists that work for them and state-of-the-art equipment that specializes in phytosomal ingredients.
- UrsaSORB took them nearly a year to perfect and there were many thousands of dollars in stability testing involved - bc when it comes to phytosomes, an important aspect is does it REMAIN encased in the phytosome and stable? As in, its not that difficult to make a small pilot run of something and make it a phytosome - the hard part is making it stable to survive being capsulated and sitting on a shelf x amount of time before it makes it to the consumer.
Ursa-Bolic provides:
- Enhanced Absorption: Phytosomes are complexes that combine plant extracts with phospholipids (like those found in cell membranes). This can improve the solubility and stability of Ursolic Acid, making it easier for the body to absorb it in the digestive tract.
- Extended Release: By encasing Ursolic Acid in a phytosome, it can be released more slowly into the bloodstream. This helps prolong its effects and reduces the rate at which the body eliminates it.
In short, you can't go wrong either way. Pick the one that you feel is right for you (if you can find Ursa-Bolic right now).
