There has been a lot of discussion lately on Magnesium Creatine Chelate (Creatine Magnapower) and I've had people in a lot of different threads ask me to let them know when its back in stock. I didn't want to go back thru and bump a lot of old threads to do so, so decided instead to just make a thread and let everyone know its back in stock.

Magnesium Creatine Chelate is a great form of creatine for people that don't like to or cannot take Creatine Monohydrate due to the bloating, fluid retention, &/or GI issues that many experience with monohydrate.

Also, because the dosage of Magnesium Creatine Chelate is lower, its not really hardly anymore expensive than Creatine Monohydrate. The average daily dosing is 2.5 grams per day to a max of 5 grams per day. And each container is 250 grams so that's a 50 to 100 day supply (less than .30 cents per day).

The normal price is 29.99 per unit.
For a limited time, use coupon code mcc20 to save 20% off which makes your cost 23.99 ea.

How does this compare to SNS Creatine HCI?
I recently started using SNS Creatine HCI and finally have found a creatine that I can stomach!!

I'm glad that you're enjoying our Creatine HCI.

Both are great products and if you're happy with our Creatine HCI, I would say stick with it. There really isn't a direct way to compare because some people may like one better, others may like the other better.

We offer Creatine HCI in flavored powder and capsules.

We currently only offer MCC in unflavored powder but are going to soon be adding 2 flavored options and a capsule version.

A tub that lasts you 3months if you take it daily .. great stuff, started it this month and can def see strength coming in day by day when taking pre.

Two very important daily supplements (creatine & magnesium) combined. I will have to try this.

That's a great point that they are both very important individually but by bonding them the way Albion does, it eliminates the bloating, fluid retention, and GI distress that some people get from regular monohydrate.

Oh I know the main purpose of bonding them. Just pointing out it will also help meet your magnesium needs.

Oh, I know; I figured that you did. I was just expanding on what you said for anyone reading that may not have :)

This was the only form of creatine that I could use during the summer months that didn't
leave my abs looking bloated. Ive personally never really got much from creatine except
a little extra fullness in my arms while on it but again hated the watery ab look and I'm a
fanatic about my abs so for me regular creatine just isn't for me but this form of it I won't
mind running it again.:)

Thanks for sharing. I'm right there with you - regular creatine mono makes me look like I swallowed a Volkswagen it bloats me so badly and MCC doesn't bloat me at all.

Never tried the HCL but from what I understand you need less than the 5gm of mono.

when will this be restocked at dps

I'm honestly not sure. The situation we're in right now is that the patent holder, Albion, is out of stock of it. So we can't give an accurate date on when we will have more until they have more raw materials.

There is a creatine shortage in general and its affecting all types.

We're doing everything we can to help get it back in stock as soon as possible.

Magnesium Creatine Chelate

Should this be "Loaded" for 5-7 days ?

Should this be "Loaded" for 5-7 days ?

I personally don’t because that would be an excessive amount of magnesium added per day. I just use daily and know that it may take longer to reach saturation. If you want to do a loading phase you could always add another form of creatine to help reach the amount you are looking for and then drop down to just MCC once loading is finished. I don’t think that is necessary though. I just take 3g a day, usually pre/intra workout.

I'm taking this right now. It's a very fine powder; mixes very easily. No stomach issues or bloating at all.

2 Scoops of Creatine HCl = 1500mg
2.5 Scoops of MCC =2500mg

flavoring it in currently HCL but when thats over, i will move onto same dosage but in caps and will have to find a way to flavor the MCC ( maybe back in my nutrex eaa again )

haha i was gonna say throw in mono too, i dont get the bloat like others but its my 3rd fav creatine .. i have it restocked for years, should do that with HCL too

kaged & sns has been my go to brands for capsules and hasnt been let down

Just checking, is 2.5g daily the standard dose or is it 5g?

You can use 2.5 grams or 5 grams.

2.5 grams is the average with Magnesium Creatine Chelate, as it has better absorption than Creatine Monohydrate.

2.5g is plenty from my experience .. currently doing
2.5 mcc + 1.5hcl and treats me well .. have never done over 2.5g of mcc and never felt the need to for someone under 200lbs imo

Been doing very similar: 1.5 hcl capsules daily first thing in the morning and whenever I train I also add 2.5 mcc powder to my preWO drink. Very easy routine to stick to and definitely beneficial overall.

So even though it has magnesium it doesn't make you tired? Or chill you out like alot of magnesium forms do?

There are different forms of magnesium that do different things.

Most forms of magnesium do not make you tired.

Magnesium is responsible for over 300 chemical reactions in you body and plays an important role in protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, regulating blood pressure, energy production, DNA & RNA synthesis, Glutathione synthesis, and a lot more.

Think about it like this - Magnesium is one of the main 4 electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium).
You don't hear of people supplementing with electrolyte products and them making them tired; people use electrolyte products to help them feel better, perform better, and have a better energy level.

Magnesium Creatine Chelate, with the creatine being bound to magnesium, delivers all the benefits of Creatine Monohydrate but without the bloating, fluid retention, and stomach upset that many experience from monohydrate.

It has also been shown to increase strength and explosive power output, and we hear a lot of feedback from athletes that supports that it does improve explosive strength and power more than other forms.

This creatine has been a godsend; zero bloat, definite strength gains and all day fullness. No hair shedding either for those wary of it.

Combine this with Super swole caps daily & you look like the Delt Deathstar

Got it! I personally take magnesium malate for the energizing effect and love it.

Thinking I'm going to add this to my re-order of prime though.

I just got my tubs! Could you not find a scoop that works though? Why 2.5 scoops lol never seen that

i assume bc 2.5G is the case study for research and SNS has other products that uses a 1G scooper .
alot of companies do that with tubs/scoops

a lil secret , mine is always between 2.5-3scoops but never less lol

A lot of people don't realize that oftentimes brands round to the nearest scoop size, and that is allowed as long as its not too far off and there's nothing wrong with that.

In this case, the suggested dose is 2.5 grams.

If we rounded to a 3 gram scoop, that would be 20% more per serving which would make the # of servings incorrect.

Also, Magnesium Creatine Chelate is very popular for cognitive health and also people with Fibromyalgia and they may not want the full dose or may dose it completely differently than people that use it for workout purposes.

Edit: Also, scoop as is conveniently fits in the lid of a water bottle whereas a 3 gram doesn't for all of them.

OK sure but I feel like I'm spilling white power a lot haha. Good thing I listen to Griselda so I'm down with the Pyrex life... I might get my own 2.5g scooper if I like this stuff 😂. Funny story I typed 2.5 into Amazon and it suggested a "2.5g scoop for creatine" haaa I guess I'm not the first to search it. It's just 1/2 tsp right...

Yes, if you're not trying to be exact, then half a teaspoon.

To explain this in a little more detail:

There isn't an overall 2.5 gram scooper that applies for everything. Different raw materials have different densities for fluffiness. For example, the same scoop that will hold 1 gram of Agmatine will only hold 500 mg. of IP6.

The closest thing to a scoop that would hold 2.5 grams of MCC would actually hold 3 grams of MCC.

The suggested dose of MCC is 2.5 grams. If we go with a 3 gram scoop, you wind up with 20% less servings. Also, in addition to getting 20% more creatine, you get 20% more magnesium - and FDA labeling law doesn't allow for a 20% variance with magnesium.

This is an example of one of the things that brands have to figure out behind the scenes and do a certain way to be in compliance with labeling laws when cGMP compliant.

In this case, it works out okay because a lot of people using it for cognition and Fibromyalgia prefer to use 1 gram twice per day.

Thanks any chance the magnesium can make my tired? I see some creatine night supplements out there and I take zma already at night but I assume it's a different kind of magnesium...

Zero chance. Completely different type.

The magnesium bond is used to help increase absorption and allow for better results with no loading, no fluid retention, and no stomach discomfort that some get with monohydrate.

There are clinical studies on it relating to strength and explosive power output.

I take it in the morning or at night time if I forget my morning dose, have never noticed a drowsy effect. If anything, my sleep is better when I take it at night, most likely due to the calming effect of the magnesium
