Monday 10/10

Shoulders, Calves and abs

great workout today because I didn't have to rush to get back to work, so I was able to take some more time.

I took powermax almost 2 hours before I worked out today because I was doing other things at work and wouldn't have time to get back to the office before the gym. I have to say that this actually worked out in my favor.

I used the hammer military press and superset with calve presses. The machines are about 10 feet from each other, so 10-12 reps on one and walk over to the other and 1-12 reps.
5 sets on both
450 on the calve press
230 on the hammer press

dropped the wgt on the hammer press
180 for 4 more sets and super set with shrugs
360 8 reps 4 sets

db side lateral raise
30 x 12 3 sets

front raise with cable ropes
1 x60 for 10
1 x 80 for 10
1 x 90 for 8
1 x 100 for 7

I finished up with isometric shrug lifts using the hammer strength bench press. you really get to hit the full motion of the exercise and really get to squeeze the sh1t our of the traps.

this was a great workout, focus and was pretty pumped. Its nice to have a bicep pump, but when your traps are raised up and you can visible see that
swollen look through the shirt you have on, its awesome.

pretty focused in the gym, pump as I said was great

no sides to report or any issues

Tuesday 10/11

took the powermax again 2 hours before hitting the gym and this is working in my favor. Today was a back day and it was going to be shorter (actually my shorter routines just means I have to superset due to time constraints)

T bar rows
cable rows- close grip
cable rows wide grip
rev peck deck
pull downs

I got great lifts on all sets- all limited to 3 8-12 reps per set,

in between sets I noticed that im not that thirsty or don't need a sip of anything and time between sets is shorter. More focused today than previous days, just really dialed in.
the pump was just as good as the day before as my lats were and rear delts felt like the were twice the size.

no issues or sides except and this is a good thing
muscle soreness / doms sets in about 20 hours later for me and I have noticed that the soreness has increased over the past week. Reason is simple, focusing more on movements with contractions is the explanation.

Powermax xt is doing its job

Powermax is working- i have noticed that if i take 1 hour or less before working out, it really starts to kick in 1/2 through my workout. If i take it 1 hour and 1/2 or 2 before, usually things start happening within 10 min.

for me, my sweet spot on timing is 1.5 before the gym

Nice. Unfortunately I train early in the morning, so 1.5 hours is pretty much impossible for me.

I suppose I could start an IV drip before I wake up LOL.

I'm lucky if I get to take it 30 minutes before.

I usually take PowerMax XT and HyperMax XT 30-60 minutes pre-workout, usually around 45 minutes or so, and I feel that they're working by the time I get started, and lasts throughout my workouts. I've never really been a fan of taking pre-workouts less than 30 minutes before lifting.
