slowly cutting to 215

Finally, at 37 3/4 inches on the waist. My progress is coming along nicely. I think the key besides the diet is the 30 minutes of cardio after my workout. Oh, I saw the chili, exnihilo, but it only had 19 grams of protein and only 5 grams of fiber, eh.
 
Your brocolli and spinach are probably the too best veggies you can eat. They PACKED with vitamins and their nutrient value is probably the highest out of all veggies.

In general, the veggies with most color have the highest nutrien values.
 
Well, jumped down another 500 calories under maintainance now that my body adapted to the calories. I am now at 2,500 or less. I am off supplements for a week to see what happens now. Might get some fat burner to suppress appetite. I am going to take it lght as far as training to see how I react now to the calories.

I am now eating 3 medium square meals with low carbs but with lots of veggies. I also have a few snacks of fruit throughout the day. I am now planning on getting down to 190 instead of 215.
 
Now, my appetite is way down for a reason. I am probably getting between 2,000 to 2,500 calories a day. Going pretty good for a while. I sprained my ankle so working out is impossible for this week. I think I will never play bball again. You will be proud of me Ex, I am eating lots of veggies now. I am am eating no breads or grains besides nuts. I am eating 3 meals now, about 600 calories or less each with high protein low carbs. I am losing a lot of water. I figure I should get down to 200 before I bulk. I am losing fat like crazy now that I am not lifting like crazy. It is funny, I am losing more weight when I don't exercise, LOL. I am not complaining.
 
Update, took ex's advice and upped calories to 3,000. I am gettting a good mix of macro's. Definitely shredding but gradually, which is what I want now that I need my muscle for bouncing at the club. Only thing that is irritating is the acne I am getting from the test boosters/anti-E's. But it will go away after I finish. I am looking a lot fuller now with the increased carbs from where I was at before. I am eating proabably as clean as I ever have. I am gaining strength too, looks like a little muscle as well. I will be using creatine my second week forward. For stimulants I am drinking those sugar free Red Bulls(5) when I am working.
 
I am trying to ex! My appetite is not very high right now and I have a hard time eating 3,000 calories now. But I do have greens in like 3 of my 5 meals though. I am slowing working my way up dude. LOL. I am finding it hard now though to eat fruits because I am trying to get the most bang for the calorie so to speak. So the only time I eat them are pre and post workout. Ex, how are you doing on your cut?
 
Not really a "cut" per se. I'm just changing some of my habits to be healthier and look better, though I guess since I'm trying to eat slightly below maintenance that it could be described as a "cut". Going pretty well, there are some pics in the pics forum.
 
I am about the same bodyfat as you now ex. Boy I thought I was higher but looking at your pic I am in the 14-15 percent range like yourself. My ab muscles are big like your so it makes it look like I am bigger in the waist.
 
Yo Ex, I posed this question in another thread, I am still in the 240's but it looks like I dropped quite a bit of bf in the short term. My question is could a person hold on to quite a bit of water that would make you look crappy. I mean I have a flat stomach now and better vascularity, and about a month ago I had a belly. Could this be genes or just water held?

Truth is, sure everyone wants to look better. If it's no more effort to look really good than to not care, why not. I have no aspirations to ever step on a bodybuilding stage (I think I've covered this one at length :D ), and the super low bodyfat levels bodybuilders strive for would be counter productive to my powerlifting and my general enjoyment of life. Whatever bodyfat I can get down to without having to beat myself up and go hungry all the time, that's fine with me. Given my overall level of activity, the way I respond to tren and the fact that for the most part I like the taste of healthy food (I REALLY like the way it makes me feel) I feel pretty confident that 9-10% will be easy to do.

So there you go mister :D Now you can quote me saying I want to look like ronnie and paste it into other threads and you'll have some extra ammunition in your efforts to tease me about wanting to be a bodybuilder :rofl:

:lol: I love how you interpreted my dislike of competitive bodybuilding, my lack of desire for "symmetry" and the low priority to which I put getting really lean as "my way of trying to deny my desire to be a bodybuilder".

I feel the intense need to jump around on stage in a beatiful dance of "muscle ballet" :rofl: Maybe if I shake my ass just right people will try to put $20s in my posing trunks :lol: Oh the glorious life of a bodybuilder...

Having been on anadrol and then come off of it, I can say yes :D I didn't even put on that much water weight but it did make a significant difference.

Yeah you're right man. I have a stash of posing trunks in my closet and I practice all my poses every night before I go to bed. I'm just waiting for the day when I'm lean enough so I can shave down and tan and finally fulfill my lifelong dream of being a bodybuilder. I have pages cut from muscle and fitness all over my bedroom wall (I like gunter!) and I even have muscular stuffed animals. I also want to learn ballet.

See, persistance pays off man! You got me to come out of the closet!

Hehe, I wouldn't have bothered but people have been bugging me for pics for a while... I thought I'd appease the masses :)

I took the avatar pic so people would at least take me half seriously :D And I don't think anyone who wants to lose bodyfat is automatically a bodybuilder.

So are all the women trying to lose weight bodybuilders? And how about people at fat camp, they're bodybuilders too? Because they want to look better? Bodyfat loss != Bodybuilder bro :D Bodybuilders get on stage and pose man. That's what I'll never do.

At any rate, I just figured I'd let you know on some levels I have a lot of respect for you man. That being said, your habit of responding to anything I say with "and you want to be a bodybuilder!~ Look how funny it is when you deny it" has gotten a little old, and I'm bored of playing games with you now - it was fun but you're being a one trick pony man. Don't take it personally but I'm going to ignore you from now on.

I would have to agree with Ex, not all people trying to get into a lean state aren't bodybuiders. I will never compete because there is no money in it and I will never wear a thong, not even for a girl. Because where there is a thong there also might be a camera. I just want to get jacked for the hell of it. Plus I think the pain from lower bf in the 3-5 percent range is not worth it. However, I do pose, but for girls, hehe.

Well, diet is getting better and better every week and it is showing. As they say you ar what you eat. I am almost into the 36's on the tape measurer. At about a 37 even waist but still in the 240's so that is good. It looks like I have about a 33-34 inch waist when I get down into single digits,prob. 7-8%. A guy at my gym who I envy, has a 60 inch chest and a 33 inch waist...damn! But slow cutting is going well. I really think the 30 minutes cardio that puts me into a calorie deficit is working well. My strength is OK, slowly getting stronger. The creatine isn't bloating me, so that is good. I am getting all my pieces in order after my cut to do a good bulk cycle of M1T/deca/test. I should be getting my nolva next week through hookup.
 
Yo Ex. where you at now in your "cut" per se? Mine is going a lot better than I thought it would. My diet is at about 3,000-3,200 depending on the day. I am using the cardio component to dip into a deficit. I am not gaining as much strength, matter of fact I lost a little but I thought I would because my speed now in my workouts are picking up. Since I am not a powerlifter like yourself, I don't really care about losing too much strength. I am getting ready to do my first stack in about 6 months. What is your waist at now?
 
I'm not trying to lose weight right now, I'm going to try and hold at 273 for a while. I just took up a second sport so I'm feeling a bit beat up right now, I need all the food I can get :D Hopefully in a couple of weeks my conditioning will improve and I'll be able to handle the increased workload, then I can start trying to trim down some more.
 
What sport? What is your waist at? I should be at 36 3/4 inches my tuesday. Going extremely good thus far. At 240 down 3-4 pounds after 2 weeks of slow cutting, and dropped 1 inch on the waist. I am doing the arnold split as higher amounts of sets really work for me( I start to shrink at 12 sets per bodypart). My lower abs are coming in, but my middle is sluggish to the other areas. My oliques and middle abs are the only places that aren't cut yet. Probably another 2 weeks and they should be a lot better as I am losing fat on my ass. Still haven't hit the legs yet, all upper body. My legs are getting pretty cut now. Have deep cuts in middle and lower and now some in the upper connecting to the obliques and abs. My diet is good but not flawless as I am slowly getting more and more strict as the pounds come off, yet the diet is about a B+ right now.
 
Waist is ~38.25" right now. I have a significant martial arts background, I've decided to try my hand at boxing.

I got way overtrained spending 3 hours a day in the boxing gym (split up, not all at once :D ) along with my powerlifting routine (I was already feeling a bit overtrained not having lowered volume enough post cycle). I'm going to eat like crazy and keep the boxing up at full speed, and slowly increase the poundages and volume on my powerlifting workouts.

Doing 12 rounds of full bore bag work will bring your conditioning up like CRAZY :D In a month or so my level of GPP should be freaking incredible.
 
I really want to get my striking skills razor sharp. I'm a decent striker now and my kicks are off the hizzy but overall I want my standup game to be cold as ice :D I'll probably end up doing MMA down the line, my submission defense needs a bit of work too though.
 
I used to routinely talk to Polar Bear or UFC. He is one bad mutha. I thought about doing that stuff but have enough of it at the club already,LOL! Hey, ex my appetite is really going down, naturally. I am at 3,000 but I have to force myself to eat it though. I am guessing my stomach is shrinking due to smaller meals? Also, about how far into a cut should you start using thermos? I am still losing but would like to know in advance as I use my "tips" from the club on supplements. My diet is really starting to come along. Probably after another 2 weeks I will drop processed meats(cheap) and start buying bulk chicken or turkey breasts. Also, what is a good thing to do to stop ance from high test levels. My levels are off the fuckin charts now and if someone looks at me the wrong way now I wanna break heads. I have breakouts once and a while but are extremely irritating because I good hygene. Will it just go away after my PCT?


Sorta off topic but I would be pulling way more ass without the damn flareups from PCT. But I guess you pay a price to be huge,LOL.
 
Don't know what to tell you about the acne, I've gotten a mild flareup recently, I'm looking into what to do myself.

As far as thermos go, start using them now man (if you're talking about EC), they're helpful the whole way through.
 
Have supplement stores received ephedrine yet since the court decision? I would get it if it was as easy as going to the store and getting it. Also, what is a good thing to help sleep?
 
You can get vasopro with ephedrine hcl a lot of places. Get it from 1fast400 if you can't find it locally for cheap. As far as sleep, some hard cardio and a big meal :D

When cutting should I be doing abs? I have heard that the weights are enough? Also, I am bumoing up my cardio by 10 minutes a day now up to 40 minutes. How often should you bump up the cardio because I don't want to go below 3,000 calories.
 
abs? yes.

As far as cardio, I would go by the results you are getting. If they're coming too slowly bump the cardio. Don't try to lose more than about two pounds a week though...
 
Well I am currently losing 1/4 inch a week off the waist. so therefore I have 12 weeks left. Should I do abs every day or with weight once a week?
 
Well, the cut is going extremely well thus far. Working at the club is actually helping me because it keeps my mind on girls and not protein.:) I also don't eat at night which is helping me a lot. I will have a diet soda if I need something sweet. The cardio is what is making the difference for me. 35 minutes a day now 7 days a week. And a 3 on 1 off weighttraining schedule. Legs are maintaining but losing the most fat. I can't wait till I am under 10%, my legs are gonna be awesome. I don't even work them out besides cardio as of right now. But when I get into the 10-12% range I will to help tighten the lower abs via the glutes. Not gonna take the vasopro just yet, probably next week when the energy starts to drop. My lifts are down a little but not much. Probably just the calorie difference now. I should be able to gain it all back and then some in 4 months, which is where I think I will be finished with cutting, but not sure.
