Slicin' and Dicin'

Tonight for the first time, we completely closed the loop. 100% of what was on the table, we grew / raised.

Yesterday I butchered a Cornish cross and a freedom ranger so we could taste test both birds side by side (the freedom ranger won)

The rest will get another couple weeks to grow out. But dinner was delicious and I had enough leftover chicken to prep my lunches for the week.

Yes I went back for seconds, yes the purple is mashed potatoes. There's also apple butter on the veggies my wife made from the apples we picked last weekend.
