Slicin' and Dicin'

I really think taking steroids/SARMs without a serious plan to be on TRT soon is asking for regret. One of the worst things about the OTC designer hormone era was the way it made androgen use feel casual. Now 1-2 decades later, look at all the guys who needed TRT who wouldn’t have otherwise chose it. But Superdrol, Xtren, etc…

I don’t really fit that demographic, but I pity those who didn’t understand.

GH btw, if money is not tight, is great to increase skin elasticity (and fatloss). It naturally declines by 30 and on, which is why clinics often prescribe 1-2iu daily if patients have the scratch. And it’s not suppressive. You can take a shot before bed and by the following evening you will produce your own again if you don’t administer that night.
GH is on my long term plan when I’m a little more rich 🤑

is it pretty expensive? Sounds like a good long term solution. At the moment I'm enjoying settling into a more natty lifestyle, tbh. just for the sake of mental and physical health and a little more freedom in supplementation regiment (at least for now)

Black market generic HGH in the US can generally be found routinely for $2/iu, or less with bulk purchases if you find a supplier you like & trust. So a 10iu peptide vial could be administered at 2iu Mon-Fri night before bed with a tiny 30g insulin syringe subq anywhere, for $20/wk.

Which in 2025, probably wouldn’t get you 2 combo meals at a fast food burger place.

Nice incline PR?
I think maybe? LOL I'm truly not sure. I only started training inclines like a year ago because they really bothered my shoulder so I started very light with high volume finding the right ROM. I'm trying to make them a bigger staple because coincidentally I do think they created nice hypertrophy in the boobies when I started hitting them.

Girls have been giving me 6-9 eggs a day lately. Thanks Trump for crashing the value of these little golden nuggets, now devalued to the status of silver.

15 prepped up for easy snacks though.

These fresh eggs when boiled then straight to a bucket of ice and immediately peeled are crazy easy to remove the shells.

I friggin’ love egg salad! And boiled eggs in general. Even with an ice bath immediately after boiling, I can never seem to get them to peel easy, so I never really make them.

Looks like a great bench day!

To be clear, even if you can get a script of HGH, it is stupid expensive. Several thousand per year for a couple iu daily, at least. I don’t think insurance covers it generally, so you have a script for insanely priced GH.

But $20/wk for underground lab-made is about a grand per year, for comparison.

I truly don't know why some days they are easy to peel and some days they aren't, but these most recent ones were crazy easy. They were probably about a week old since we try to use a first in first out approach, I bring the water to a boil, add the eggs, and then once it starts boiling I set the timer for a max of 7 minutes. I move them straight to the ice bath and start peeling them while they're still pretty hot to the touch. right now it seems like peeling hot eggs is maybe the secret... but yes, I never get sick of them and it's a great snack! if I have these available it's easier for me to reach for a good protein snack then say, corn chips (my kryptonite).

Bench was pretty good! it was technically my last heavy day on the cube so in theory goal would have been 305+ but I knew I was tapped her. Although last time I ran cube, I came up short on the 1RM test day, rested and came back to PR the following week. I'm not going to be upset about not hitting a PR after a 12+lb cut inside of 8 weeks, but being really close to my current best of 305 feels like a great place to be at the moment.

If I can pull off a 300lb bench while weighing in the 180s I'll be stoked!

Notes
Didn't think to bring my belt in for cleans today so I kept them a little lighter but typically don't push over 185 without them so, all in all, not bad.

That was serious cardio though, lol.

Luckily today should afford me a second session after work since I'll be out late picking the boy up after track/shotput

MMMMMMM deviled eggs! YUM!

Round Two
Stairs -22 min
Incline treadmill - 23min

Total -45min

So I'll be 43 this year. Gym rat in some way or another since I was 14-15. But today looking in the mirror I'm still blown away by how

Cardio + nutrition = fat loss.

Like it's just that easy (and hard).

Weighed in at 193 today, but felt leaner. Had a very clean chicken and veggies stir fry last night with a good portion of rice. I'm in a cutting zone right now that I'm really happy with if I maintain my consistency, particularly with the cardio.

Getting in some good work…..I’m jealous of the fresh eggs, because they are so much better than store bought. Coyotes got to our Chickens this Winter and killed them all. Ours were free range, and we’ve had one or two killed here and there, but never all of them. We have huge Akita dogs, but they are in a 1 acre fence, so the Coyotes normally just stay in the woods and really don’t come out in the open yard, we have 8 acres all together. This time, though, they killed the 9 Chickens we had left. We are getting more probably in a few weeks, so I guess I’ll have to fence them in just to keep them safe.

I'll try to get you a pic of my set up this weekend! I think we have 9 or 12 hens plus the two ducks right now. We do have yotes but my big predator concerns are coons and hawks / bald eagles mostly. I didn't appreciate our egg quality until our first winter when they stopped laying then I realized how big a difference it was when I bought from the store again...

I have mentioned to my wife before that I would be interested in getting some chickens to get my wife to let me get a few chickens but the answer is simply NO.

I have mentioned to my wife before that I would be interested in getting some chickens to get my wife to let me get a few chickens but the answer is simply NO.

We had this unused area beside the house I was starting rows of corn in and for some reason my wife says it would make a good spot for chickens. (she had said no prior to that as well). I don't remember exactly what went down or why she changed her mind on that but during the COVID lock downs I started construction which was a double edged sword. I had nothing but time, however the lumber prices were stupid high.

it wasn't quite done in these pics. I finished that window with an old leftover window we had, tiled the roof, and added cedar shingles to the siding of the house itself. I dug an 18" trench all the way around to run predator netting and backfilled it with gravel to make it more difficult for anything that could dig, to dig into the coop.

This year I added grow lights on a timer to force some winter laying and my wife also added a warming pad that was originally for the chicks, to the inside of the house during the winter months.

next thing I know, she spent like 3 of the last 5 springs raising new chicks in our bathroom in the house, lol.

We’ve had chickens for probably about 10 years now, but it actually was my wife that talked me into to it. And I’m glad I did, because I love eggs. Ha, over the last couple of years she’s tried to talk me into getting a Jersey Cow for milk, but I told her I’m not going out there and milk no cow…I’ve got to draw the line somewhere.😎

haha yeah I'm not about to get into milking cows. I grew up on a farm, tending to the chickens/ducks is enough extra work. I would be OK with a beef cow that basically just needed food and water until butcher time, but knowing my wife, she'd get attached to the cow and I wouldn't ever get to have the slaughter man out lol

My wife’s the same way…..we definitely both love beef. And we buy meat from a meat processor only about 5 miles from us, because there are a lot of cattle farms around us and we get great deals, but there is no way we could raise a cow and she would let me go have it slaughtered. Once she names it, it’s a pet, including when we get chickens, but that’s ok, I’m fine with just getting fresh eggs, because I get attached to all the animals too. 😂

we have the same issue with the chickens. this winter my wife was very close to letting me thin the flock a bit when they weren't producing eggs, my instructions were just not to tell her about it, lol. Oh look, a beer can chicken for dinner that I totally promise I bought from the store 😂

When I was a mechanic, the oldest guy in the shop (73 then) also ran a farm where he raised steers. He was up at 5am feeding & tending them before work at 7. Told me he named them all, & every time he took one to the slaughterhouse he still shed a tear.

Haha, it is funny everyone started talking about getting attached because the first thing I thought was if you raised it you would probably get attached to it and look forward to the mindless task just to spend time with Elsie. Plus fresh raw milk? I hear it is some of the best you can get and has some good health properties to it too. That isn't an option for me, but yeah my wife would never allow me to kill a steer if we raised it. She would go from annoyed having it to We can't kill "Hamburger" I love him!

Notes, wanted a low tax day to save some CNS for squat and bench days this weekend.

Probably will fit in more LISS after work

weight was 191 this morning which I think should be very accurate (not dehydrated, not holding excess) and the vascularity is really starting to come. I'd love to see what things look like in another 7-10lbs.

I’m not sure if anyone has said it but how long do you ice bath them for? If you do it just till they get room temp, I’ve noticed it’s easier for me to peel. Also while peeling, If you run cold water from the faucet over them, the water kinda helps get in between the egg and the membrane, also makes it easier, also washes away small pieces of shell.

My dad still does this as well, and I reap the rewards. Last steer we slaughtered I paid for the slaughter and I butcher and kept half and he and mom kept half which means I get away like a BANDIT, but IIRC I think they actually paid their half as well so basically at 42 my parents spoil me more financially now then they did when I was 16 and worked 3 jobs to buy a $500 nova that ran on 4 of its 6 cylinders (haha)

When we were kids we had video taped the process one time on 8mm and kept all the entrails in a huge bucket to take to a science teacher who wanted to keep it for class. I grew up hunting and fishing, gutting birds, deer, whatever, but to this day I have never taken it lightly. Even when I'm cleaning a duck or a rabbit, I try to get every piece of edible meat off that thing because it feels like the "right thing" to do.

When you watch your steer or cow take a bullet to the head and collapse as fast as the sound gets to your ears, it honestly does rock your world a little bit. But maybe it should. Maybe being connected to the process is healthier. I truly don't like killing animals, but I respect my place in the food chain, I love the therapy of hunting and I appreciate meat for everything it represents.

I don't mind gutting a dead animal at all, but I'm also very aware of the compartmentalization that's going on in my head.

OK so last night I made 15 more and I did ice bath them again but I honestly have no idea why. I don't like my eggs over cooked, so I think once they were "done" my only goal was to stop the cooking.

1. bring pot to boil
2. add eggs. cold eggs stop the boil.
3. bring pot to boil again
4. once boiling, set timer for 5-7 minutes (depending on if I was paying attention or not)
5. move eggs to a strainer filled with ice, they're still very hot
6. peel eggs that are still too hot to hold, under cold water
6a. at this point I am NOT running cold water on the other eggs, I am attempting to peel them while still hot.

did this 2 times this week and all but one peeled like a charm!

Sounds like if all but one peels well, then you are doing it right. I will say my wife and I started steaming ours, like in a pot with vegetable tray thing, and it works like a charm hard boiling, worth a look!

I haven't steamed yet, but I have thrown them into cupcake tins and baked in the oven at like 350f for 30 or so minutes. it's a little less work but the eggs do come out a little more rubbery....

if these eggs weren't peeling so well right out of the pot like this I'd probably leave them shelled and just peel them as I eat them but this has been a pretty great way to have a ton of eggs lined up for easy snacks.

Oh yeah we hunt and fish here in Georgia for sure….man around here, hunting and fishing as a kid is like your initiation to manhood.💪😎

Round 2, Cardio

Stairs -21min
Incline -10min

Total for the day = 51min

Forgot my wallet at the office after work and had to race back for which shortened my cardio-tunity today but I have the new root sports app and being able to watch the Mariners sure makes the stairs go by faster.

smoke one of those bastards and hang carcass from a tree, guarantee that will buy you a few months of peace. Rinse and repeat when necessary 😁

Taking a rest day today, I have mixed feelings about that so I'm gonna enjoy it and hit bench hard tomorrow with my boy.

We loaded up my wife's new raised beds with compost, he mowed the lawn, took care of other farm life stuff and now headed to fish store. Just gonna soak it in, enjoy some food, probably watch a gangster / mob movie, some Fortnite with the boy then see what tomorrow brings.

My weight this morning was a pleasant 189 despite enjoying FAT lamburgers on pretzel buns last night, this cardio is doing its JOB!

Last time I broke 189 was after like 60+hrs fasted so this is legit. It's only April 5. By June I'll be on the cover of GQ oiled up with Efron.

Enjoy your rest day, they are just as important. And if we are talking mob movies, I’m gonna have to vote for Goodfellas or The Untouchables, Both never disappoint! Or Predator 1, not a mob movie but I’m watching it right now lol

Sounds like you’re having a great day and evening, and well earned rest. Enjoy the family….as a Dad, sons are fun in all stages, and at times we get to be big kids with them, but it really is special when they start to become your buddy and you get to chill with them as they grow into men. And then they become your best friends as adults….ha sorry, not trying to get sappy…just enjoy…..and the raised beds look great.👍

Heck yeah! Tried to bait him into taking a couple swings at me last night, kid has a pretty solid punch lol

Well gym was a no go today.

We just pulled in, closed. Lights off. Sign says out due to a power outage. But it's a chain so I said we will drive 11 minutes to the other one and try that. Same thing. So I'm confused about a power outage that kills to separate locations. I hope it's an IT thing and LA fitness isn't going out of business cause these two particular facilities had great free weight areas and an awesome demographic to lift with.

Rest day #2 whether we want it or not!

Our LA Fitness closed its doors a couple years back; I don’t think they told the customers beforehand.

Enjoy your rest day, they are just as important. And if we are talking mob movies, I’m gonna have to vote for Goodfellas or The Untouchables, Both never disappoint! Or Predator 1, not a mob movie but I’m watching it right now lol
Just rewatched The Irishman on Netflix; that one really is a classic if you have never seen it!

It’s actually one of the only big time gangster movies I haven’t seen, the 3 1/2 hour runtime has kept me from watching it. I just need to suck it up and watch it lol.

oh man I keep seeing the Irishman pop up but have never had the time to sit and watch more than the intro, I'll have to give it a watch.

I hope they don't fold, I noticed on their website showed both locations I hit were 'closed for power outtage' but it is weird. I'll swing by tomorrow, well maybe today even though it says reopens tomorrow, and see if I can get the employees to give me the scoop. I hated chains for so long but this is an old club that they bought out and it's just a great all purpose gym. for $40/month I have access to all of them nationwide, lockers, showers, sauna, pool (that I've never used) weights, cardio, racketball, basketball, astro turf area for sleds, wod type work. around here you gotta spend $90-175/month for anything close to that in PL or xfit gym with only one facility.

Martin Scorsese just knows how to do cinema; it will suck you in. That being said, I usually watch movies like that in 2 halves.

Notes
Did take a scoop of pump addict
Morning routine is now anabolic effect + alpha one. I'm a week post PED and today's the most alpha feeling session I've had in a while. Slept poorly and expected very little but mentally once I got moving just wanted to **** **** up. Clangin and banging.

we are the same way, actually, I think I watched all of Son of Anarchy with my wife about 3 times because she'd fall asleep half way through an episode so the next time I'd have to rewind it, she might crash again, so attempt #3 here I am knowing the script by heart at this point and she's seeing it for the first time 😂

Steady moving progress, keep killing it! You gonna take a picture of the post cycle change? Let us give you some nice positive feedback?

honestly who knows. The only time I ever get the inclination to take a progress photo is immediately post lifting in the locker room when the pump looks and feels insane, but I'm surrounded by old man dongs and pulling out a camera seems like something they wouldn't appreciate 😂 but those gym mirrors/lighting sure make you feel like king of the world compared to whatever garbage lighting and mirrors I have at home, ha!

My wife is starting a 6 week challenge with her friend on Weds, basically setting specific training frequency goals/plans and a small weight loss of like 4-6 lbs (which is actually big for her considering she's like a 130lb woman. I'm stoked about it because it sorta feeds my fire to keep pushing as well.

So I'm weighing in right at 189-190 now, would be cool to see if I can touch 185 or lower by May 24th when my wife and I have a little sun trip planned. 183 is probably feasible with some hard fasting but I'm liking this slower roll I'm on right now, and the extra cardio is affording me more calories which is leading to greater sessions, IMO.

C'Mon now, don't hold out on us Big Sexy! ;)

If you take it in the gym locker room just be sure to black out any old man dongs in the background.😂
you can't see half of them anyways cause the asian dudes for some reason always feel the need to blowdry their bush, usually while facing me, until they got a huge ass fro. this gym is so weird, I've seen things I can't unsee. One day I was walking into the locker room, I had JUST arrived to the gym, walk in to the locker room and this man pushing 80yrs old or older was bent over with his crack facing me and one of the most massive trunk I've ever seen hanging down to his knees 😂 😂 😂

NONE of this stuff goes on in the Tacoma gym. everyone is just straight up normal meathead gym rats. but this other gym, the locker room is straight up truck stop bathroom scary.
