Hello all,

I'm starting the deluxe muscle building program on 2-27-06(Monday). I know today is Tuesday but I just found time to do this post.

My measurements are as of 2-26-06(Sunday) after waking up:

Height: 6' 0"
Weight: 191 llbs.
BF%: 18%
Waist: 38" above hipbone... 38 1/2" across navel
Chest: 38 3/4"
Arms: 13 5/16" unflexed...14 3/4" flexed
Forearm: 11 3/8"
Thighs: 24 1/4"
Calves: 15 1/2"

I virtually have no background as far as bodybuilding. I started a program in dec. '05 to lose some body fat mainly in the stomach area. The program consisted of bodyweight movements and resistant band training. I lost 17 llbs. to date and shed some off the midsection.

Now that I dropped some weight and stumbled onto this site. I would like to add some muscle .

I'm not even sure if im in the right plan considering I could still stand to lose some around the midsection. But **** it, I want some muscle! I'm defiantly an ectomorph, for most of my life I've been skinny as hell so I dont see cutting in the near future to be a problem. . I lost those 17 llbs.( hope it was all fat) recently with a so so diet. The only reason I got fat was b/c I was behind a computer like 15 hrs. a day eating pizza and drinking beer everyday.

So I'm not even sure what my goals should be. I'm just gonna follow the plan and not worry about the OVERrated scale. The mirror will be the true indicator. That being said I took some pics on sunday b/f I started and will post as soon as possible. Peace!

2-27-06 MOn. First day:

Diet: 90% Food went down better then expected until last meal. I just couldnt get the fish down. Tues. will just have to be chicken for last meal.

Exercise: 90% Tough first day b/c I dont know how much weight I should be doing considering I never really lifted before. Wont be a problem second time around.

Is it just me or does 3-4 minutes in between sets seem very long. I'm used to one minute intervals. I feel like a lazy bastard b/c Im standing around waitng for my next set to start. Peace!

ha! i dont think anyone gets the workout right the first day, dont worry though, ull find the magic weight and everything will come together.

yeah 3-4 minutes does seem long but its pretty critical.

Day 2:

Diet: 90% overall...100% until last meal again. That last meal is just hard as HELL to get down!

Workout: 90%...Back is sore today and chest is still sore from Monday.

Second day in a row I cant get these dam pics up. Will try again asap. PEACE!

what flavor fish are u using?

If your using gortons get the cajun blackened....all the other ones are pretty hard to choke down.

another idea is to buy store brands...i know Publix brand is alot better.

LOTS and i mean LOTS of capers work wonders too.

Day 3:

Rest day

Diet:
75%
Diet is actually getting harder. Couldnt finish last two meals.

Day 4:

Workout: 90%
Triceps went well. Ilike the 2 minute intervals for the smaller muscles better. Routine was more intense b/c of that reason, I think.

Diet: Three meals down and I already cheated by using a MRP for a meal. Also, I couldnt finish both my bagels. i gotta ask Bobo what I can sub for these bagels, im already sick of them. I ate 12 of'em the past 4 days. YUK!

Diet is getting harder b/c it is sooo repetitive. Chicken and bagels are getting old really quick. I will try to keep pluggin along.

Dantaman:
To answer your question I was using Gortons. Thanx for the advise but i dont think any brand I use is going to work. I simply just hate all kinds of fish. B/c of this im eating three chicken breasts a day. YUMMY ;( PEACE!

yeah man the bagels suck. I used fat free cream cheese and that helped alot for me..

dont stress on the diet either. it took me about 2 weeks to really get used to all the food. now im hungry all the time.

I emailed you about the subs but serisouly, you are not even done week 1 and you are getting sick of foods? Bro, its real simple, if you are getting sick of foods this early, you have a LONG 8 weeks to go because its not changin much. You can find subs if you like and vary it up as much as you like but I would sit down and think long and hard about what you want because if you get tired after 3-4 days and you arelady cheating in week 1, this might not be for you.

I can't help you if you don't have the discipline and I've had guys that stick to diets for months at a time with very little variation. 1 week is nothing.

bagels?!?!?! i LOVE the bagels....just get fancy with them...try some fat free cool whip.

a good sub for that is brown rice, i could live of that ****. It might just be me though.

I will say this though....it gets easier, alot easier......my first few days were hell....i gaged...thought everything ( besides bagels) were disgusting, but i started playin around with the food and now i look foward to EVERY meal, its all good to me...it might be that im not eating quite as much as you, who knows but it does get easier.

oh and if your tired of chicken try turkeyor beef jerkey, bobo has said that these were fine to sub for chicken and i do them every once in a while. You also have buffalo meat and ostritch meat if u can find one with low enough fat.

well, good luck man , i hope things work out for you

Come on Rob, you have to get used to me yelling at you :)
