SkRaw85 Training Log

Congrats on the impressive PR…. Hitting 300 for 2, I believe you have 315 in you to finish up 2025. Oh, and the close grip bench numbers are impressive too.

You’re killing it…..about to put 500 in the books.💪😎🔥

Why are you pulling it, as opposed to finishing it out & adding the primo on top?
Sides creeping up (BP/anxiety). Usually hits about this time 8-10 weeks on bold. Ran lower this time to try and avoid this but here we are, I don’t want that when the hex sets in.

Prob around 485ish this cycle. But later 2026 is doable!
Yeah, 2026 is your year…..it’s impressive how much you added to your bench in 2025. You already had a great bench, but you went to another level in 2025, and you’re definitely tracking for even bigger numbers in 2026. 💪

Thanks GP! It’s been a good year in that regard, I’m just gonna keep on pushingggg

Such a fugging beast!!!!

Man, what a month, what a week, what a fuggin year! lol
So unfortunately the meet will not be happening in January. Had a HARD reset job wise and moved to a better company who actually value hard work and pay accordingly. Between that and my car getting smoked the other week it’s just not the right time.
I am 100% happier and it feels like I just took a 2 foot long $hit now that I’m done with that toxic cesspool. No plans on stopping this training block, although it took a little delay, hopefully didn’t wreck too much. Today’s session felt good and strong.

Man, glad you got you a good job at a better company. You definitely have to put family and career first. There will be more meets….
I know that must have been rough to be going through that at Christmas time, but the reward of a great new job I’m sure made it all feel better. And you’re still putting up big numbers, so it looks like a re-set isn’t going to hurt you at all.

100%
I feel me and @MrKleen73 are twinning a bit this year lol. But I have to agree, ditching that job has relieved a nonstop mental burden. It wasn’t always that way but this year the owners showed their true colors, deceit and greed. Year of the snake baby!

Congrats on making a positive transition for a better, happier life! That’s awesome news and you should be proud for stepping up to find a better way to provide for your family; job transitions are scary, especially when you have people counting on you.

Now that all being said, why shouldn’t you do the meet? I mean is it a thing where you’d need time off work and you shouldn’t as a new employee, or is it something where you don’t want to take certain PEDs? Because those aren’t written in stone, so if you are going to do the entire peaking cycle anyway, you should go test at the meet where it counts! If you can, of course - making probation at the new job is still priority.

I say all this because if you are healthy and lifting well and the new job isn’t stressing you worse…it sounds like an even better time to do it than before!

Thanks! Yeah it has been an adjustment. It is solely the new job and not wanting to ask time off right out of the gate. This meet is 12hrs driving one way and 2 states north. On a positive note when I do my next meet it should be a 500+ lb press, so that will be worth it I suppose

Man the whole job change thing is such a PITA but I'm glad that it's working out for you, sounds like you are ending 2025 with the right momentum to kick off the new year. This march we will be at 24yrs since dad and I started this company, but mostly because all those forms you have to fill out for a new employer motivate us to just keep doing this. 😂 😂

you guys are animals. we were toying with a KY trip in the fall next year to bounce around the distilleries and my wife suggested we drive up to NYC afterwards since I've been hounding her for a trip to NY for years. I was like, dude that's almost 12 hours lol

fair lol.
plus tbh that area of the country is a bit "easier" or more interesting in a lot of ways. Although I'll say the trip from Mound City, MO up to Omaha was rough. nothing but flat as far as the eye could see while my father in law had to school me on Unions. the goose hunting was good though 😂

I once got stuck going the wrong way in Texas around midnight after a late flight before GPS. After about an hour of nothing but flat terrain I was like, this can't be right. lets just turn around and start over. 😂

Now that’s what I’m talking about….starting the year off in Beastmode with a bang.🔥
Congrats on the PR.💪

Badass benching! 475 is awesome, and I’m even more impressed with all the follow-up training/down work after. If you don’t have even more in you right now, you will soon. But 475 is a pretty fat PR right?

Thanks! Yeah it’s a 13 lb PR. Programming was capped at 475 max, plenty more in the tank that we shall churn up in a few weeks

This is literally crazy weight dude. 475 on bench, plus 315 on strict OHP press?? How are your shoulders/front delts not completely smoked?! Congrats man!

Thanks seg.
Nah I hurt my shoulders more in my sleep when I flip on my side and end up jacking the delts 🤣
Everything feeling groovy right now, save a lil bit of forearm tendinitis from straight-ish bar curls the other week.

dude its so true. i'm 60/40 in favor of being lean/jacked and stronger but 2 two biggies for me is when I'm over like 205-207lbs is I can't sleep. I can't find a place for my arms and I start snoring lol. everytime I watch you guys go for big numbers I'm like man, I could bulk..... but I'm just really bad at being a 200+ dude lol

It’s a love/hate. But the cpap does wonders lol. I’ll prob shred up a bit after this cycle. Everyone says I look bigger when I’m skinny anyways 🤬

Man I can taste it. I’m putting the idea in my head for this final block, may be a little stretch but then again, maybe not.
Not to be an enabler, but now that you don’t have a hard timeline to complete this…I’d probably just keep going until you make it happen. Just keep hammering the food and drugs until you realize the goal, then you can be done with it. Unless you get any red flags.

Because once you come off blast, and cut down, you will essentially have to climb the mountain all over again later after that rest. And that’s fine for the next competition, and for the longterm journey it’s how it will go, but you never know what the future holds and you are on the cusp of something special. When I benched 405, my spine got hurt later the next offseason on something innocuous and I still haven’t gotten my absolute strength back up that high since, in over 2 years - not even the bench. I’m stronger at this size than ever, but just saying. Stuff can happen, and tomorrow isn’t promised.

Yeah that is the truth. With how smooth 475 moves without any turbo tablets….. got my gears turning. Then next meet can focus on 500+, then 550, then….
Im honestly shocked how my strength has been while holding BW at 258-260. Right fuel matters.
