SkRaw85 Training Log

First real “day off” in I don’t know how long. What did I do? I did fahk all. Food and naps. It was amazing. Feeling good for deads tomorrow.

Finished gear cream. Beginning trest today. Weekly will be:
420 mg test E, 300 mg trest dec, 25 mg anadrol daily. Will adjust accordingly.

Today I did 5-3-1 condensed in to one session . More in the tank, but my lily soft thumbs are out of practice and finely shredded from hooking. Wanted to keep my deads organic and free from straps and belt. Gotta get my callouses back slowly. I miss them.

I finally feel like I have my feet back under me, a solid base and weight to shift my training back to a strength focus. I will finish transitioning this week to feel out some numbers to calculate lifts for a hybrid conjugate program. This will also give the trest some time to release.

Annnnnnnd weight releasers have landed! Band pegs for my Oly platform will be in next week. Conjugate timing is coming in hot. I will have to acquire some more plates asap. I only have 545 lbs (including bar weight) total, so another pair of 45’s will hold me over for a little longer.

House of Biceps style!

The best is when Clint is using them and sometimes they don’t release on the first touch! Makes for a serious “Oh sh!t” moment when he has to relower the weight until they release before the concentric drive can start!

That’s why he always uses his safeties

First time out of the gate with weight releasers. These are a great addition to any strength program, I can already tell. Soooo….. PR I suppose lol.

Might be drilling a hole in between the third and second holes. Second hole will not release and I’ll get pinned (not in an anabolic way). Third is about a half in high on release.

Indeed it is! Yeah I’m a creature of habit. I figured it’s easiest all in one. Maybe I should branch out? 🤷🏼‍♂️
Na do you. I'm just rediculous. I had to stop using training notebooks and buy ring binders so I could replace the paper because I would get so aggravated ripping pages out when I wouldn't write things down correctly or if I had to erase something and it made the page look so s*****.

It's weird, there's not many things I'm OCD with but my training journals and the notes I keep on the things that I do I'm very OCD with lol

Thats a really nice addition to load your eccentric. Seemed very easy for you at the eccentric too with that load.

Lotta weight moving here — and food porn FTW!!!

PR's incoming!!!!

Beginning conjugate training as of tomorrow. 4 days, 2 max effort (1 upper/1 lower), 2 dynamic effort (1 upper/1 lower). Will keep the option to sub repetitive effort for dynamic as needed. I have my first month designed and ready to roll out. Feeling that trest! I’ll update starting dry bodyweight tomorrow morning as well. Feeling good about this. It’s been way too long old friend…..

I need to get outta here before I spend more money on equipment.

Rank the purchase. Is this a game changer that you would repurchase a million times over, or is this something that will spend a lot of time in the corner of the gym?

Well then lol, Ive only used it once but love this addition. 10/10 as it stands now.
I will be incorporating it into my conjugate training by contrasting it with pin press for upper, other contrasting variations for lower days (squats with releasers/GM’s off pins, et al). No way will it be gathering dust in the corner, unless I get hit by a bus or something.
My old PL coach used these for many years and has nothing but good things to say in regards to progression.

Let’s let time and anecdotal evidence forge my final statements???

Of course. I really like the concept.

Man when I was over 260, wiping my ass all of a sudden got way more difficult. Had to start taking a sumo stance for a clean pass. Things you never thought you’d need to figure out But after that run I dropped the weight and life got back to normal.

Clint Darden had a story about a training partner that had to tape a syringe to the doorknob so he could back up into it to inject his glute. He was way too big to do it himself but lived alone, and he took way too much oil to get by not using his glutes!
