Uncle Sam wants marathon runners. Not meatheads. My doctor advised me to stop supplement usage as my larger frame will be burdensome and non sustainable throughout a lifetime. Gay

That's changed a lot since I joined. The AF used to be a big group of obese fcukers. They started cracking down in '04 and it was fun to watch. I'm glad to see you guys a little more focused on physical fitness. It's a good thing.

Drones have been around for a bit, they're just more publicized now but they're pretty rad. Some dude sitting in Arizona can take out a camp in Afghanistan via live feed. Crazy.

I'm overweight by army standards. 186 is my max allowable weight. I have to get taped. I normally max my pt test. Funny how you have a set poundage you can weigh. I've seen some real fat people pass weight. It's a standard that needs revamping.

Legs this morning. I didn't track everything and just more or less did whatever I felt like doing. This entailed a lot of squats. I'm no breezy, but I do implement pause squats in my routine. Quite a few sets of 225x5 with a three second pause in the hole. Felt strong this morning but didn't go any heavier than 315.
Threw some goblet squats in too with a 105lb DB. I like those. Had a tough time walking after everything was said and done so I'll call it a good workout.

The next three weeks will just be high reps at 40-60% for endurance and then I'll take a week off before heading out for training.

Softball championships tomorrow. Had three homers last week. I'll try to get some video this weekend of my Miken doing work.

I've put a little fat on over the past week which I don't mind too much. It'll be off again shortly.

This log will also come to a close at the end of August and I'll start a new permanent log that will be more detailed with supplementation, diet, training outline and video progress for lifts/exercises. I'm not exactly shredded, but there's a reason for that, as I'm gonna need some of this fat for later. Funny how goals can change so quickly.

ever try DB jump squats? I've intentionally left those out of my own program for awhile now, but will bring them back very shortly
love them things; explosive jump is key, land with soft knees

you are still looking great, just comparing yourself to where you were when you were focusing on different goal as you say..
reality will dictate a (slight) change in appearance ;)

Used to do DB jump squats a lot back in the day to improve 1RM. I love them. Helps develop the traps too. Haven't been using them only because I've been rucking and I don't necessarily need them. They will be back after training.

As far as the home runs go, we don't have fences. Even a 350ft bomb is playable and placement is key after I drop one over their heads. It's ASA rules, so there are four outfielders. Hard to burn them. On top of that, we've played these teams already so I've been scouted. Long ball incoming.

I am my own worst critic and will remain so. I think it's necessary for progress.

Sorry for lack of posting. Played softball Saturday and I've been licking my wounds since. Hyperextended my left shoulder on a sportscenter diving catch and it's still pretty wrecked. We went three games on Saturday for a total of about 6 hours. I'm pretty banged up. We didn't win. Lame. Hopefully I'm lifting again soon.
I like carbs.

Update: I'm injured and have been for the last 2 1/2 weeks. I haven't lifted a single weight. I can barely pour water with my left arm. I messed up my left shoulder pretty bad on a diving catch during the softball championship game. I've been running, and that's about it. Trying to heal. Sorry for the lack of updates.
