Shredded by summer cont'd. Iparatroop goes from fat to fit.

really?? truthfully - I am
have never heard of extended issue, in healthy individual who does appropriate frequency and consistency with running/jogging/etc
you, sir, are an anomaly (I do say that lovingly tho) ;)

Lol. So should I buy a lottery ticket or what?

Come to think of it I have the same problem when I walk at a fast pace at an incline on the treadmill. I was once told it had something to do with how I run/walk combined with proper shoes.

He'll I really have no idea

Neo was an anomaly in the Matrix. And Nemo lives in an anemone. Just saying.

Lol

wellll..I was actually going to say that next..
not the kind of guy who wants to sit here and attempt to e-diagnose you tho :D
but surely - that would be something I would probably look into, if you wish to correct the issue

You may be a heal striker with tightness of the calves causing you to use your anterior tibialis more while in dorsiflection try buying flat bottom runners shoes lower your stride and focus on running in the same fashion that you would be marching in place landing on our mid foot then when accustomed go back to your longer strides using this method

Great advice here. You can also go to Nordstrom and a lot of times they have a treadmill in there and some guys that video your stride. They'll take analysis of your stride and feet and fit you with the appropriate shoe. Sometimes it's as simple as the shoes you have selected.

I get shin splints too, even though I run a lot. Mostly from overuse because the only running I did was sprinting in school. Pounding track isn't good for a big boy with little feet. But I agree perhaps run but at a lower volume and build up. If you have them now you need to stop running and let them heal. Then get your body built back correctly. I just don't run anymore, I sprint on occasion but I just get too busy and honestly lazy after my workouts to have energy to do anything.

The pics you are taking now in comparison to the pics from months ago are amazing! This is by far my favorite thread to read. Thanks for sharing and keep up the solid improvements. I need to catch up with you!

This is the best compliment I have received yet. Thank you very much for your kind words. I'll be sticking to this for quite some time. I have some really freaky guys to catch up to.

I decided on going ahead and incorporating a dedicated arm into my routine on a regular basis. That was yesterday. Not gonna track anything or write anything down yet. Not impressive numbers anyway.
Softball doubleheader last night too. Won both games. It's playoff season so we move on to next week.
Off day today. I like peanut butter

Peanut butter & tuna sandwich
you know, I did an odd thing today..
son was talking to me as I was making my postWO nutrition, had my 5oz of tuna on one plate, bowl of cereal sitting next to it..
I always put salsa on my tuna (you see where this one is going right?)..yup - I put the damn salsa into my cereal
now, it was before I put my almond milk in it, so was able to scoop out the salsa and salvage most of the cereal, but of course some cereal stuck to the salsa and so combined with my tuna....
let me just say: the odd combination of cereal flakes with tuna and salsa was surprisingly pretty damn tasty, no joke! :biglaugh:

I can see how that added a nice crunchy texture. :) My new thing is almond butter mixed with tuna and scooped onto slices of cucumber. Like an appetizer lol. Is that weird? It tastes good to me.

Peanut butter goes well with a lot of foods. Being that almond butter and peanut butter are very similar in taste and texture, it doesn't surprise me that it too would go well with other foods. I think I'm going to create my own Pad Thai recipe using almond butter instead of peanut sauce. Lots of trial and error in my future.

Did various sets standing cable flyes to finish. Kept them in the higher rep range. Good pump today. I'm feeling a bit slow as of late. Not getting a whole lot of sleep (to be expected) but it's getting better.
Continuing to get leaner, although my diet over the past week hasn't been remotely close to perfect. Seeing new veins in front delts, lats and calves especially.

No lifts today or yesterday. Had a pt test for some stuff I'm trying to get into in this here Army. Did well enough but had some issues on my run (didn't fail or anything, but my time wasn't what I was expecting). Oh well, guess I gotta put some more effort into my run. I've been rucking and that may have something to do with my time slowing down a bit. Maxed push-ups and sit-ups but the hip flexors and hamstrings didn't feel like running as fast as the brain desired.
295/300 ain't bad I guess.
Back in the gym tomorrow and I'll probably get my ruck on tonight. Planning for 7 miles, 60lbs, 100 minutes.

SOunds good and yeah 295 /300 is far from bad my brother!

Your a madnan buddy. I couldn't imagine doing 7 miles in anything but a car...maybe a bike lol

Its awful.

Good luck buddy. One of the things I'll always wish I could've done. Got some buddies that made it and the pay increase alone is worth the hell it takes to get there.
