Suppdate:
Ignite2, 4 uncapped Max Pump pre
1 scoop BCAA/SAA intra

Good to see you back in there homie!

Nice lift Para!

Strong DB OHP brother. You have come a hell of a long way.

Good to see you back in there homie!
Thanks man, you too. Get that test passed playa!
Nice lift Para!
Thanks sir. It was at the end so I was already pretty tired and didn't want to do too much to get my back involved. I'll go heavier next week.

Took me quite a bit of effort to get them up for the first rep but after that it wasn't so bad. Once I get them to shoulder level it's pretty easy after that. Thanks for the kind words. Just watched your latest pull video. Pretty good on the speed. Much faster than I am.

86 minutes, 50lb pack, 5.5 miles all West Seattle hills. Shake, shlt, shower, sleep and back in the gym at 0530. Lovin' life. How about that for a night on the town?

Glad you are the young one that's running 5.5 mules with 50 lbs of pack. I'd be the "body" you guys would be carrying back to bury! You all rock!

That is something I will never do on my own.

You're still a young pup but I wouldn't say never. Shyt like that is hella fun at the right times. Late night in Seattle hills... Sounds really fun actually. Then again I'm a chronic self abuser lol

ain't no party like a paratroop party...
Confetti and ticker-tape and all.

Oh, no running yet. Just a brisk walk for now. Even with 50lbs, 5.5 miles would never take me 86 minutes were I running.
That is something I will never do on my own.
I don't blame you man. Necessary evil though and a means to an end.

It was pretty ok. I just laugh when women go out of their way to cross the street to make sure I'm not gonna mess with them. I don't blame them, I probably looked like the average homeless dude.
david -- the only thing I have to say to you about that running is....

:You_Rock_Emoticon:

:cool3:

that is all
Not running but will be soon. Thanks dude. Some form of 2a days till August 24th.
I would. That stuff kills my knee.
Fortunately my knees have held up over the years. Every now and then they'll get a little achey but nothing a thirty pack of natty ice won't take care of, blech.

my ex-father in law used to drink ~a case of Stroh's daily (ewwww)
of course he smoked about 3pks of generic cigs daily too..
after his mother (and his step-father, both) got on oxygen and soon died, props to the old man tho -- he quit smoking cold-turkey
(he still drinks that nasty-ass beer tho)

I quit smoking about a year ago. Best choice I ever made.
Beer :yuck:
I like to try new beers on occasion. I used to drink a lot. Not so much anymore.
Blasphemy
I know a lot of people who can't stand the taste. It's probably 50/50 I'd guess.
I'm with you.
For some reason I would have guessed that about you. You don't seem like a beer guy.

(P.M.)
I just got back from the same 5.5 mile trip I took last night. Tonight I did it with no pack. 39 minutes total. Not too shabby for it being so hilly. No evening cardio tomorrow though. Good night AM.

I've had a few that were decent, but for the most part I think they taste terrible.

Beer is great. Granted I might have 4 in an entire month but I love beer. It's when you don't drink often or in large quantity that you can truly appreciate the vastly different tastes and ranges available to consumers and connoisseurs. Beer festivals are a great way to spend a day in the summer

Good time D. That's an impressive pace you got there

The cheaper you get, the worse they taste, for the most part. Just remember the ones you thought were decent and find beers that are alike.

Yep, rare for me to have a beer anymore either. I'll sit at the bar with a buddy and have water while they drink. If there's something new and local on tap, I'll give it a try because I enjoy good beer. After the first one, most beers become really easy to drink, so there's not a whole lot of sense in going past one anymore anyway.
I'm trying to get back into the 6-7 minute range for sustained distances. I'm not far off. Helps that I've leaned out quite a bit.
So you did that 5.5 mile hill walk two nights in a row? That is plenty of work for you these past few days sir.
Last night I ran it, night before I rucked it. Tonight will be nothing and then I'll do it all again, but add a half mile. Eventually I'll be around the 15 mile mark.

Boots on the ground!

Yeah getting lean helps a TON when it comes to pace. When I'm 175-180 I can do my 7 minute miles no prob. Helps a ton with pullups as well. I remember doing over 50 pullups in boot camp during second phase when I had been starved down to ~140. Get lean, stay lean. I start cutting at the end of the month. Yut!

Man I was never very quick with the running my best PT was 14:26, and I collapsed at the end. Not passed out just gassed out and took a spill. I could max sit ups and push ups but running not so much. Doing the 5 miles in less than 45 minutes almost killed me at Benning. I sounded like an overweight asthmatic being chased on a summer day.

Now sprinting was another story, I could pull a 40 yard dash between 4.5-4.6 without fail. Your times are already impressive, can't wait to see how they get as you progress!

I'm the same way, my lowest ever was a high 13 at the end of BCT.

I smoke almost everyone in my company at sub 200M though.

Yep this was me. I think if I had been full active duty I would have got better as I went but once in the Reserves running was not much of a priority except for when coming up on PT test. I was actually slower after Airborne, that Airborne shuffle we did everywhere ruined what tiny bit of stride I had started to develop in Boot and AIT.

I weighed 183.4 this morning upon rising. I think this is my ideal weight. We'll see.

I bet you look stellar at that weight Brother Para!

Lookin lean broham obliques are starting to shape up nicely bud

Going from active to reserve was a joke. Some of my fellow Marines in USMCR that were in my unit were nasty little things, fat slobs that made us look terrible. Embarrassing at times really. As squad leaders and platoon sgts we would slay the fck out of em every drill though and that was fun.

And yes, the truffle shuffle is ridiculous when you do company level PT. Same as the slinky effect during Company or Battalion level forced marches...

Pretty sure I'm the smallest of the bunch.

Pretty sure that beard allows you to reach warp speed. Pick up the pace GD

Looking good man! Obliques, serratus, abs, lats all separating, I even see a vein going into your obliques. I wouldn't consider you small by any means at 5'9 and 186 I would call that well put together Brother!

Ole buddy is getting lean! Doing awesome brother.

Looking good bud.

Pretty sure the last time I ran was to the toilet after taking 2 recompadrol b4 a big carb meal. I run, well never. Wish I could or at least enjoyed it. My shins explode after 5 mins of running. Sprinting is a different story.

Keep it up para

Lol recompadrol did the same thing to me. I enjoy running outside as long as its not 100 degrees or humid.

you wanna know why brother?
I run, well never.
that would be it, right there
if you never do it, then how do you think you can get past it?
I get shin splints something fierce every spring first couple times out playing tennis, because I do no/very little cardio during winter..
after 2-3 (or like this yr 4x) out playing tennis on semi-regular basis, the issue goes away
unless you got something physical I don't know about, lack of running is simply the issue

Truthfully I wish you were correct.

My mom is a runner and used to run with her every am in jr high and hs. Even through hs football and college baseball same thing.
I used to run distances with my pitchers in college. Fcking hated it but they never knew that.

really?? truthfully - I am
have never heard of extended issue, in healthy individual who does appropriate frequency and consistency with running/jogging/etc
you, sir, are an anomaly (I do say that lovingly tho) ;)

Neo was an anomaly in the Matrix. And Nemo lives in an anemone. Just saying.
