Should I Quit My Cycle?

I'm 33 and have been on clomid for TRT for almost 4 years. During my last exam my test was 350, so my doctor decided to switch me to testosterone pellets (Testopel). That visit was around 11/22/16. Right after that visit I started a cycle of 1-andro/epi-andro at 330/1000mg per day. I just got the pellets implanted yesterday, so I've been on cycle for about 5.5 weeks. Results have been good - I've put on weight with little fat gain.

According to my doctor, the Testopel is supposed to work immediately, so I'm wondering if I should ditch the cycle. My main concern is blood pressure. I'm already on amlodipine and yesterday my bp was 157/94. My wife freaked out and I'm not necessarily happy that I'm a 33-year-old stroke waiting to happen.

The amlodipine had been doing a good job of controlling my bp. Yesterday was the first time I've got it taken on cycle. I did have a Bang (300mg caffeine) on the way to the appointment (didn't think they'd take my bp), and I was admittedly a bit nervous.

Seems to me like ditching is the way to go. Thoughts?

Also, I'm guessing with the Testopel I don't need any PCT? When I ran trest in the past, I would quit taking Clomid on cycle then restart afterwards.

Get yourself a pressure cuff and start taking multiple measurements throughout the day. They're cheap like 20 on Amazon for the wrist ones.

Wow bro, having things implanted and being on trt for multiple years now and your testosterone is still only a honestly pathetic 350 is pretty sad. Having all these bp issues and having now going to implants just to get to 350 is really messed up. If your going to have to deal with all these things I'd at least want a testosterone of 500 if not 700. Jeez that's a lot of sides to be getting such piss poor results. I'd never be able to justify having all that for a test of 350. That's like a testosterone of a 50 or 60 yr old. Your basically only 30. 33 I know.

Freeze your sperm and get a new endo.

I guess my first post was a bit unclear. When I started on clomid my test was consistently below 250 (based on three separate blood draws, all in the morning). My wife and I wanted kids. I went to two endos that tried to put me on testosterone before seeing my current doctor, a urologist at the Cleveland Clinic. He put me on clomid to maintain fertility. Started at 25mg eod which bumped it to the 400s-500s. He then upped me to 50mg eod which took it into the 700s-800s. That's where I stayed for a couple of years. He recently dropped me back to 25mg just to see, and that's how I ended up at 350.

My wife and I had twins back in March. My wife almost died during the delivery, and they hand to perform an emergency hysterectomy to save her. So we can't have kids anymore. Because Clomid isn't the first choice when it comes to TRT, my doctor decided to switch me to pellets. So the 350 reading was BEFORE I got the pellets implanted yesterday. Generally, the pellets work to boost your testosterone very quickly.

So my question was whether it was worth it to stay on cycle now that my test is going to be boosted. My bp was just another factor in my decision to call it quits.

Oh. Makes sense. You need to level out your new protocol so yes. Stop cycle.

Congrats on the twins. Change your profile. "Already proud". Your wife sounds like a trooper! Glad she's ok my man.

Thanks brother! It was scary as hell. The twins had to spend a few weeks in NICU but they are doing great now. Plus, we got a boy and a girl. I already have my son doing crossfit (joking!)

So you were only on clomid to get your testosterone numbers up and help with fertility? Then decided to switch to the pellet implants?

If this is correct then you're in for a treat, the pellets will jack your test numbers up a lot more than any amount of clomid could do. I would suggest injectable for TRT thought

I'd say you need to wait for next panel to see where your test is now and tell him if it's lower then say 500 at age 30 that's it's not enough and.to make it better and a blood.pressure drug. Since kids are no lomger.in the equation just forget about that fact from now on.

Yea, you're correct, and that's what my doctor said as well. I was only on Clomid due to fertility concerns. My doc uses injections as a last resort because it can cause peaks and valleys. I get bloods taken in 6 weeks and again at 12. If they are abnormal, he will adjust accordingly. If all else fails, he'll resort to injections.

I'm on amlodipine for my bp. It has done a good job of keeping it in check. This is the first high reading since I've been on it, and I can only image that the andros are contributing. So I'm gonna stop the cycle. Not worth it.

This doctor who said he won't go to injects accept as last resort due to levels being so unstable flies in the face of all current, competent doctors. Taking say for example 250mgs if test Cypionate in a twice a week inject schedule keeps levels quite stable. I'd be getting new more informed doc with more informed medically practical methods which would be injectable trt split into twice a week dosage. Whether it's 100,150,2oo or 25o. Whichever dose you end up needing to get you to a nice level and making you feel good aka taking away the symptoms of low T. Which could be anywhere from say 500-1000 or so . Depends what your particular body needs. Everyone is genetically different in this way. Some need test levels of like 450 which is pretty low some need 1100 or so to feel back to normal. All these could happen though in stable levels by simply doing twice a week injects of test Cypionate or test enanthate. Especially since we or you can totally erase the having kids factor now.

Lmao your cracking me up brother. Gave me his name and locale. Funny ****. Seriously bro I'd be on that with the quickness. You should be at the 600-800 range at your age so you feel like you wanna feel or higher maybe, not sure what genetically your body specifically craves for, " normal, " feeling. I'm on trt when not on a cycle and the dose I get through injectable Testosterone Cypionate is a dose that gets me to 900 total testosterone . That's what we've found my body needs to feel normal. Meaning sex drive back to normal, energy, mental clarity, recoverability, and the feeling of how I felt in my early 20's. In addition, of course you want your free testosterone number to be on point as well. I take 250mg of testosterone Cypionate a week split into 2 injects a week of 125mgs. Monday and Thursday. When on a cycle I don't receive any try. Like now I'm on the cycle of Ment Acetate. So I've discontinued my trt until my cycle is finished. I'm doing The Ment Diaries in another thread here in this area of the forum if you'd like to check it out. On day 53 of the Ment Acetate only cycle of 50mgs a day. I get bloods every 25 days. Also get dexascan every 25 both due to serious medical condition I have. Which is how I get all these from my Doc and medical insurance.

You could always try adding in Cialis before you decide to quit your cycle. I've been taking Amlodipine, as well, and it alone wasn't enough to control my BP on cycle. The daily addition of Cialis has really made a difference.

As far as this cycle of 1andro epi andro that you were asking if or say that you were gonna run or going to start running or should you begin running, I have no fkn clue what I'm in the heck that is. Nor do i have any experience with taking that substance. Obviously, since like I said I have no clue what the heck that is. I'm very familiar with and quite informed about most AAS due to extensive research I've done before I ever went to the dark, side so to speak. Due to me being extremely OCD about every and anything I put into my body. So much that I researched creatine for several days before I drank a shame of it 5 yrs ago whem I started lifting.

No worries man. Which thing? The 1-Andro/epi-andro combo? Or Testopel?

Andros jack my bp up too man, and I'm at 120/75 at age 40 with no health issues. Definitely ditch. The TRT will do more for your physique in the long run.

The 1andro thing is what I'm asking about. The testopel thing is the trt pellets they want to implant into you correct? So my question is about the 1andro thing. What is that?

Sounds like lots of guys have or get bp issues. Feel sorry for you guys. Thankfully, I'm just genetically low bp wise. I'm talking like 110 over 90 . Like real low. So honestly, roids actually help me cuz it raises mine very very slightly which just enhances me.

110 is an excellent systolic blood pressure, while 90 is considered an above normal diastolic blood pressure.

Hey bro thanks for saying that because I had my numbers all mixed up. I was incorrect on both numbers actually. You got me to go and check my test results from last week. my test results from last were 95 over 79. My bp my whole life has always been in this range. Up 5 or down 5 on both numbers. On any cycle it's usually up 5-8 on both numbers and without anything its basically just 5 below on both of the numbers I just reported. Glad you made me check though as opposed to possibly sounding like a moron when I talk about my blood pressure. Guess I should research normal health stuff more then the extensive research I do on AAS lol.

So back to the 1andro. I could tell it was a Prohormone . I'm not that into Prohormone and satms I either do a cycle of AAS or I dont.i know supposedly some of them don't have the side effects of AAS. So I know there's some kind of use for them but I just can't keep up with all these things and the facts about them just too much stuff Out nowadays

Systolic @ 140 and above and/or diastolic @ 90 or above is considered hypertensive. So while one number may be normal or low, the other one could be high which is still bad. Just a little info!

Ah I see. Thanks brother, i knew throughout my whole life I've been in the low but still normal range, no matter what I do, as far as diet, supplements, AAS, activity level, or whatever else raised someone's bp so I've always somewhat ignored it. Due to the serous medical condition I have had since 4 months old I've had all these tests and hormonal blood panels and the dexascans at least every 2 months or so. Do of course having that many even by age 8 or 9 I had so many of these numbers memorized that I had done that before taking any AAS I've kinda ignored them due to the doc's always telling me they were all normal.
