Should I get a second opinion?

Been wanting to get my T checked for a while; have all the symptoms of low T. Noticeable Muscle and strength loss, yet spare tire didnt budge. Same kind of workouts that worked for me up until about 2 years ago are no longer effective (mostly Wendler), and as stated, strength going the other way. Out of gas and irritable by about 3-4:00 on most days. Brain fog. Low sex drive. The works. I’m only 33, so Ive been telling myself its work stress, or wife stress or (now) 2 yr old daughter stress. Anyway, finally went to the Male Medical Group today and had blood work done. It took about 20 min and they had one of the T numbers for me, but said it would be a few days to a week to get the whole panel results back. Anyway, the T number they gave me was 60.8. Yes, 60.8. This was done via something called a “FastPack,” sound familiar?

They also gave me some other figures but didnt really explain it to me: WBC, LY, MO etc. I can try to post if yall want to see them.

Anyway, end result is they started me on Test Cyp and Vit B12 injections 1/wk and HGC 2/wk. Should they have given me all 3 Test numbers today, or will the rest be what comes back in a few days-week? Doesn’t the 60.8 number seem alarmingly low? I’d just pop back in the office tomorrow to talk now that I’ve had time to reflect, but I leave town for the weekend at 6am. I do plan to call, though.

The pics of the results would help.

I’m not familiar with “fastpack” and I would hold off on the trt for now. Those anti-aging clinics are in it for the money. I’d wait to see what your actual bloodwork comes back as. If your actual bloodwork turns out bad, then I’d discuss trt with ur primary care doctor.

It’s really easy these days. I had an urgent care PA offer to put me on TRT. And finally went with a Urologist 2 years later. Just about everyone has offered, and without paying “Men’s Clinic” prices also. You sound like you’d be a candidate with a Doc that won’t charge you but a copay.

Yea my insurance is covering this one. Just a $30 copay.

Thanks.
That is low.

1). Have you cycled much?
2). Have you ran anything recently?

It’s been a couple of years, but I used to do a couple of Ph cycles/year, starting in college. Could have been an improper pct that shut me down I suppose.

Well then, welcome to the club, man! I don’t want to make it sound too great otherwise we might have 25 year olds trying to get on TRT and then decide they want kids at 35. Or a million other decisions that you shouldn’t consider as absolute, at such a young age...

But I love it. No crash, no pct, gains 365, I’m always energetic and my gf absolutely loves it! I am so psyched I’m on Test permanently. I advise you, since you are so stressed out, to find a way to prioritize your workouts higher. I have kids so I know how hard this is. But I just discovered I can train on my lunch break and leave 20 min later at the end of the day if my workout/shower goes a little longer. I’m actually excited for my 40s, being in the best shape of my life, stronger and leaner than ever...
