^^^ Not always wise to take stims before bed. Unless you have a tolerance where you could drink a coffee and it doesn't affect you haha

log 1 first dose
I use a tornado mixer. I found the taste to resemble a sweet lemonade and was not chalky. A++

The bottle guaranteed increased reps with the first dose.
I did reap this benefit.
Although it did not come on my max rep sets.
Today I did pyramid sets mimicking my last chest workout for comparison purposes.
What I experienced was that on the down side of my sets I did not have to drop the weight as often and the reps increased slightly.
flat bench
warm up set
225 2 extra reps
max 1 rep up 5lbs to 275
first weight drop increase of 10lbs to 245
next drop to 225 increase of 1 rep
next drop stayed 225 increase 30lbs
4 drop set 20lb intervals starting 195 all drops increased by 1 rep

By this point in time I had a great pump going. I had to get used to it. I noticed in further exercises and sets that I had the same increase in the ability not to have to decline my pyramids as much as last week. I also got stronger as the sets went, as I got used to the pump. Resulting in my reps actually going up on sets instead of declining.

I had a great day 1 experience with this product. The only negative I have today is that it is stim free and I am used to a stimulated pre workout. But I bet I get to sleep easier.

Yo! Round 2 winners - your shipments will be submitted today. Most of you got your info to me last night.

Keep the reviews coming, guys!

I held off on the super awesome Jack3d insider deal (one with a t-shirt!) because I saw this coming down the line. I love strong stim based pre-workouts because I'm pretty tolerant and need something that packs a punch in order to feel anything. Once I saw this didn't have any stims, I was really bummed I passed on the Jack3d deal. I love just about everything USP comes out with, but struggling to figure out how I could fit MaxREPS into my arsenal.

I'm not a "serious lifter" so I couldn't apply for the free stuff. Just an average joe that lifts to get a little better every day. What would be best to stack with MaxREPS for an average joe?

Im going to add some beta alanine that I have left over to get the tingly feeling with it. I have never used stim free pre so I am going to go that route before I stack it with caffeine or another stim loaded pre.

x3

There aren't many other shop company shirts I wear these days other than the barbell club ones. They set the bar high with the material and fit. In only lacking the Army green one ;)

I've yet to get a barbell club shirt and each time you guys start talking about them, I think, "I should really order a couple of em." but I never do. Lol! I've got a few of the older ones that are still new. Just pull out a new one when another gets retired.

Got email this morn
Thanks for the quick response

What would be best to stack with MaxREPS for an average joe?

Things you could stack:
Caffeine
1,3 DMAA
AMP
Citicholine
Noopept
Beta alanine
Betaine
Creatine
Hydromax
Agmatine

Really, only thing I'd consider adding is for energy/focus.

I'm trying my first dose in the AM and all I'm adding is caffeine.

First try was this morning -- it was great.

I'll write my review in a while and get it posted in here as soon as I can.

Just got a tracking # for mine....like waiting on Christmas !!

I agree with you. I wouldn't add any extra "pump" ingredients.

MidwestBeast's USP Labs Max Reps Review

Initial Observations:

As soon as I opened the container, the scoop happened to be on top – that was nice lol. I was curious what the scoop size would be and was surprised it wasn’t any bigger than it was. Obviously it’s not a micro-scoop, but it wasn’t some huge scoop similar to one you’d get with protein (that I was kind of expecting with the amount of cit mal and ctirulline in there). I tried to lean in and smell to see what flavor I could pick up. I was able to pick up a subtle hint of the flavoring (I got watermelon limeade), but not all that much.

Mixing:

So this morning was my first use. Got up at 5, weighed in (233.2 lbs), got dressed, went downstairs to start my pre-gym prep. 90% of the time, I work out first thing in the morning. I also am on prescription levothyroxine (T4), so I don’t eat for a few hours. I start off by mixing up some BCAAs that I jump around between as far as brand/blend – today it was 1 scoop of GSN AminoFuze (I like the extra HICA in there). Along with that, I take my levothyroxine, 200mcg huperzine-A, 500mg agmatine, and 1 serving of Ultimate T (this isn’t an “all the time thing” but I’ve been on it for 3 weeks or so now; the others are all daily and used every single morning). Today, I also took 400mg caffeine (2 caps) knowing that I would be using Max Reps for my pre-workout.

Lately I’ve been using Modern Pre and AAN Pre-workout, so I know I needed some stimulants in the AM and just wanted plain caffeine; nothing else and nothing with a chance of making my stomach uncomfortable – I wanted to be able to judge Max Reps accurately.

I finished off my aminos and then filled up my shaker (v1 USP Labs shaker) about halfway with ice and then almost to the top with water. This is the amount that I’ve been using for Modern Pre, so I figured it would likely be similar in terms of my sweet spot (otherwise I’ll normally measure for a first-use of a product). Poured in my one scoop of Max Reps and it was a very fine powder; not so much that it kicked up dust all over the place, but mixed in really well. I obviously used a shaker, so I put the lid on, shook it a few times and was good to go, but I’d wager you could easily mix this with a spoon in a glass if need be (but seriously, who are you people that don’t use shaker cups?! lol).

Taste:

I’ll start off by stating I’m not a fan of watermelon. I don’t mind it, but I don’t crave it and certainly don’t choose it when given alternate options. So I wasn’t expecting to “like” this, but expected it would taste good in terms of being enjoyable to someone who did in fact like watermelon. I was very surprised. I’ll have to echo Bob’s sentiments here, because it was totally a limeade. If there’s watermelon, it’s an aftertaste and it’s so subtle that I didn’t really pick it up. Let me clarify – there is certainly an aftertaste after you taste the initial flavor of limeade, but I can’t pinpoint it as watermelon; just a nice complementary flavor. Not sure how else to describe it, but I absolutely loved this flavor.

I enjoyed this flavor so much that I was hoping USP would find a way to flavor some other products the same way so I could sip on them while at work, in the evening, etc. I’m not one to waste pre-workouts, but things like aminos or other products that can be utilized outside of the workout window are great for someone who wants something without derailing nutrition or chugging sugar. So kudos to you, USP – you knocked this flavor out of the park. I would absolutely love to try out the other 2 flavors, because this was just immaculate.

Workout:

I have followed the same general split for several years, now. It’s been a 3 week split that goes A/B/A/C/repeat. A week is Max-OT training (2-3 sets of 4-6 reps on a few lifts per muscle group to improve strength). B week is high volume (usually 4 sets of 15-25 reps and upwards of 8 sets on some muscle groups and 4 or so lifts per muscle group). C week is high intensity circuit; just keeps the HR up with limited rest between sets. As of almost a month ago, I have cut out the C week to go to an A/B pattern.

It’s still a 5 day split: chest/back/off/arms/legs/delts&traps/off. But what I have done is added cardio INTO my workouts; thus removing as much of a need for the C week and giving me a chance to push for maximum hypertrophy twice a month now with B week instead of just once a month.

Unfortunately, today was the start of my Max-OT week with arms. So in terms of pump and vascularity, it’s nowhere near what I get in a volume session. That said, I’ll walk you through it. First of all, I’m down about 4-5 pounds from the last time I performed this session (2 weeks ago). I’ve done a pretty good job of maintaining strength while cutting down, but obviously am not getting as much in terms of adding it. Today isn’t an ideal day to add reps, per se, either.

All of my lifting today was done on the main floor of the gym. What I did was run a set of stairs at the conclusion of each set, that led me to the track, where I walked one lap (1/10th of a mile) at a brisk pace, came back down, repeated. I managed to keep my weight the same on every single set of every single lift this session and managed to climb ever so slightly on one set of tricep solo reverse curls on the cable rings (high pulley). 3 lifts for 3 sets each on biceps, and the same for triceps. I did, however, decide to toss in one extra set on DB hammer curls for bi’s and on tricep bar pushdowns for tri’s – 12 reps each at a moderate weight to really squeeze it out. Along with the lifting, I managed 2 miles on the track and 20 sets of stairs being ran, as well. Even though I wasn’t going with a volume workout and there was a bit of time between sets because of the walking (that I previously would have spent sitting, waiting – because in my heavy week, the goal is simply moving max weight; not tempo), I had a pretty stellar pump. Again, with what I’ve been using, it’s not like I have a lack of a pump in my workouts (Modern Pre has a formula on point for those as does AAN with the extra cit mal I would add to it). Energy was well enough with the caffeine (400mg isn’t overpowering to me at all – I am very stim tolerant). So between that and the citrulline, I had very nice endurance, too.

To show you a little bit more, here is a screencap of my workout today from fitbit’s perspective (Charge HR):

Overall:

I’m someone who likes/needs stimulants in my pre-workout; especially if I’m up at 5 AM. So my go-to product would be one that had the pump/endurance ingredients in addition to those for energy/focus. That said, I would love to see USP offer up a stack with this; either a powder that could be added and not disrupt the flavor, or even a pill. I like the complex from Modern Pre very much (caffeine and citicholine) – I don’t need 1,3 dmaa or to be wacked out on anything too high; but I do need some stims. I can add them on my own, but I would personally be more likely to purchase this if I had the option from the company to add it right on without doing it on my own.

The pump ingredients are solid in this and the endurance from the citrulline/citrulline malate is nice. The flavor is one of the best things I’ve drank and I wish I could go home and drink more tonight (I mean, I could, but it would be wasteful lol). I’d very much like to see how the other flavors compare, but my guess is you can’t go wrong with them.

Whenever I have to work out in the evening or need to stay away from stimulants (e.g. if you’re running an EC stack, etc.), I would highly recommend this as a top pre-workout. I absolutely loved my first go at it and look forward to trying it again. I will be sure to update when I’ve had a chance to use specifically on a volume day, as well.

Thank you very much, Jacob ( USPlabsRep ) and Casey ( borobulker ), for the opportunity to try this out and the incredible hookup that you always give me and the rest of the forum.

Went ahead and used a scoop today so I could get some form of initial review up for you guys.

So here goes nothing:

Taste: USP hooked me up with the watermelon limeade flavor for this, I didn't ask for it but I'm very happy that this is what they sent. I love watermelon flavored stuff, and I'm a big fan of almost anything limeade. USP has always been good about flavoring, and this didn't disappoint. The initial smell when opening the package was not pleasant, but after mixing it with water it smelled fantastic. My wife wanted a sip because of how good it smelled and she really enjoyed the flavor, which is not typical. I just mixed the whole scoop with a small glass of water, it didn't mix perfectly because of the amount of powder compared to the amount of water.

There was no noticeable grit when drinking it though, even with it mixed with maybe 6oz of cold water. The initial flavor is limeade, and it was pretty strong. Almost all of the watermelon comes on afterwards, and there is no unpleasant taste left in your mouth. Flavoring was very well done.

Pump/Vascularity: Ok, so now on to the important stuff. I'm typing this right after finishing my training session, and the effects are noticeable. I didn't intend to use it this early, as I'm only 1 week out from a meet so my volume and intensity have tapered off to recover for that. Today, I just hit a light bench (w/ commands) and some light accessory work in the 15 rep range for a few sets. The pump was incredible, even with just that. In fact, trying to type this right now is making my forearms pump up and I find myself having to take a break every so often because it is starting to get uncomfortable. Vascularity was up all the way down my arm (and I'm not incredibly vascular to start with, so any increase is noticeable).

I can only imagine how ridiculous this will be when I work into my Accumulation block after this meet and start really hitting some volume.

Overall: Very well made product all of the way around. Flavoring is on point, effects are immediately noticeable, and profile is outstanding. I think USP really knocked the ball out of the park with this product, and I look forward to being able to give a more thorough review once I can really start putting it to the test.

Max reps NO watermelon limeade review

Taste - the taste is very important to me and I was blown away with this 1.

MIXability - fast mixing and no residue on shaker upon completion.

Pump - wow , just wow . While doing my standard standing curls my arms locked in 90 degree stance. I had to drop the weights and massage my biceps for a short time. The pump is wat really got me excited. Even after my workout I was still feeling full of energy and ready to go . I have never used any pre workout that was stim free . This was amazing!!!!!!

Focus - I feel this was a major plus for getting into my workout and keeping involved.

Being this is a non stim pre-workout. I felt really strongly about the quality of this product. I will definitely grab a few to keep on hand for stim breaks . This is everything you need minus the caffeine high. I will be trying this with dmaa and caffeine tomorrow night. Ill list dosages and add to this review. Thanks borobulker and USPlabsRep ..... This was a great chance to try a new product. Ill be linking everyone on my social media to this !!!!

Why has my package still not arrived anyone else in this position?

It's because we hate you, sorry. They ended up sending me your package. No homo.
