Selenium and igf1

So I read that selenium inhibits igf1 signaling. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? I'm taking igf1 and I've stopped taking my multivitamin because it has selenium in it. Was wondering if someone could explain it to me in basic terms.
 
There is some evidence to suggest that selenium may have an inhibitory effect on IGF-1 signaling, but the mechanisms behind this effect are not fully understood. Some studies have shown that selenium supplements may reduce levels of IGF-1 in the blood, but more research is needed to confirm these findings.

Yeah I think I'm gonna find another multivitamin without selenium in it. Thank you.
