Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Back in the end of December rudy from overkill was taking pre-orders for wraps for late Jan early February. I was told u have to order direct from him

Any thoughts on KLA-2000 knee wraps?

Powerbelly is never in stock.

I'm surfin the net for Overkills, atm.

I need to decide if I am going wrapped again for May. Blahhh I hated it but liked it all at the same time....

Another 220 hit 705. I sincerely hope it wasn't dt'd.

Not sure which 220 I want to win, pretty impressive stuff.

Lol well that answers that question

I did a recovery session with him today.

Did some toddler goblet squats, then some with him on my back.

Birddogs with him on my back.

Did the arm bar with him, and then lax tspine mash with an extending arm with him as weight.

Dan didn't look himself. He really struggled with his opening squat, missed his opening deadlift, and didn't bench his usual 507-523. I don't think 220 is in play for him anymore. Kevin Oak looked good, 2041. Casey looked great, 2088. If he figures out how to deadlift watch out.

He looked drawn out hard before the weigh ins. Looked like he had to cut close to 25-30# to make weight.

That sounds f'ing terrible. I have zero interest in ever cutting that kind of weight. For that matter, I'm not sure I see the point in it at all as long as I'm not in position to set any records. I don't wanna be a total fatass, but I think I'd be better served getting bigger than trying to keep my power-to-weight better. I'm not competitive at 198, so why should I bother trying to hang around 220? Starting to think I'd rather get swoll and lift as much as I can.

The most I've done for lifting is 13# (232-->220); fighting was from 18# (187-->169). I've found that the 10% rule is a very good parameter for max weight cutting. I see what you mean regarding the decision to cut weight, but I'm one that will get every competitive advantage that I can.

What it's not self propelled

We have a plow on our truck that we knocked out the big areas with at my unit, but we had to use blowers and shovel to dig out the hard to reach/packed areas. Self-propel didn't do crap through 5ft of drift on top of packed snow. 70" in just over two weeks, 2ft since Monday morning.

All this crap was just from yesterday alone.

Holy crap, I hated getting the thick layer of ice off my windshield the other morning. If you were my neighbor I'd let you help me shovel Sean

The flight line has been an ass pain too. I spent all morning shoveling/snow blowing around hangar doors

Since I'm the "biggest" guy in the hangar (sad, right?) my boss always makes me shovel around the hangar doors where the plows can't go. Nothing like an impromptu lower back and bicep pump 8 hours before you plan to go deadlift :irked:
