Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Thanks guys. Since this was just a "get your feet wet" thing for most the people, they were lenient on the pause, so I said F it and just touched lol

Groin hurt with 585 but it's good now. Going to try to PR on conventional I think. Plus it'll be easier on my hips for squatting.

The close grip was absolute key for my AC and RC. Felt perfect.

Man, you totally lost your shyt right at the beginning of that Pull and still almost made it. Bench was frickin awesome. Awesome.

Yeahhhhg time to switch to conventional here. Sumo has been a busy lately.

But, my god damn bench! ****ing finally, man. That grip was a HUGE change. Thanks a lot dude.

I always counted those collars as 2.5 each in training. Gr lol

What did you change on your grip? I missed it. You definitely deserved that bench it was about time.

It used to be middle on ring, then pinky on ring during the last few weeks, then I brought it in to thumbs link from smooth, so maybe 2" inside the rings. That's actually where all my close grip training has been.

That's where mine was exactly as well. Just moved it all the way to the smooth with a big soft foam block now for this 6wk wave actually (the guys in our shipping department were like wtf do you want a block of used shipping foam for?). That's actually a really powerful grip for me though, the thumb from the smooth. And safe as hell.

Awesome work man - sucks you missed the 585 but I can totally appreciate how nice a bench PR is after such a long layover from one.

Lol. He says "I see you Ernie."

5min after Ernie's 2018 in wraps, he goes 2015 no wrap.

Something is seriously wrong with him. Talks way too much **** via FB about everyone.

He is a pro-total powerlifter. It's right there in the job description. "Must be disturbed and willing to show it to everybody by trying your hardest to divide and sour the very sport you love." They're worse than sorority chicks.

Screw Norris. That was easy for him, too. BS

And thanks, Rob.

So, April 25th is 20 weeks out. Looks like to make things easy, I'll roll with 20 weeks of 10/20/Life.

record squat meet??

I hope. I know I have over 660 in me. WR is 700 so Id have to hit 705. Id rather break it with 710. 5lbs over feels douchey. I reached out to Brian Carroll's crew for possible help, which is funny because he's done Casey Williams training, who holds the record I'm going for.

20 weeks is a lot of prep time! You going full power or just gonna focus on the squat?
New Hampshire, right??

Yaaaaa I do. I've got one of the guys from the 10/20/Life crew coaching me for 19 weeks to hopefully get me close or past the WR squat. Won't be discussing details but I can still post SxR and exercises.

I've been told and read the volume is key for raw lifters not sure if it's true cause I've read the opposite as well

I love volume if u couldn't tell

One of my training partners just hit a 605 pr in deadlift Sat following 10/20/Life so
I'm sure your new coaching is going to go great and you'll get the WR np

Volume definetly plays a critical roll. I just hate it.

Looks like the **** I've been training through lately, gainz!
