Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Don't forget to pay attention to the lats and traps as well. Keep those suckers nice and loose.

The last week has been a busy week for me so there's been zero stretching or rolling and its caught up. I finally had my lats stretched out solid for once, which was the biggest improvement. Now them and my rear Delts are feeling like crap again.

Roger. I looked up a bunch of mobilizations on YouTube just now for it.
Let me know if you find any you can do to yourself. Most I see are done by a Chiro.

Happy turkey day broski

Don't take a sip of milk after cranberry sauce...EVER.

Glad you asked.
I am a huge proponent of milk being the best liquid ever...better than water. I have it with nearly every meal. As a kid I learned that cranberry sauce, for reasons unknown, literally changes the flavor of milk to something horrible. Since then I knew it was my mission to make sure that not a single drop of milk be spoiled at the hands of cranberry sauce. As you could imagine Thanksgiving is the one day that this tragedy can strike at epic proportions.

Thanks, gonna try this soon.

My body hates milk, which sucks because it is fuking delicious

Same. I have to buy lactose-free 2%. Which I do because I enjoy it, but it's literally twice as expensive/oz so milk isn't a staple in my diet. I just have it when I want it.

My life has been about 10 million times less smelly since I figured out I don't tolerate milk or ****ty cheap whey proteins well.

I have to buy the same for my wife, it ain't cheap. And it tastes weird as ****.

Well my stomach has been so jacked that I didn't have an appetite. I was on duty and we cooked up a nice looking bird, too. I only stomached half a plate. I woke up hungry today at least and had a semi-formed movement so things are looking up.

I'm on duty monday and don't want to pull heavy at work so I'm skipping my upper session tomorrow. Today will be light box squat triples/GHR/rows and then Sunday I'll pull a day early.

Traveling Lunges

Regardless of the squats moving fast, they were the most difficult squats I have ever had to control. Those blues are no ****ing joke.

Yea that's one serious freaking band ma man. Definitely moved quick on the way up. You could tell you had to put work in to stabilize on the way down. Nice skwatz dawg

Stop squatting so much please, it's making me jelle on my deload.

Meatloaf shhhmeatloaf I hate Meatloaf
(A Christmas Story)

Nice work today Sean when I read earlier u said light and the first thing that popped in my head was it's going to be over 500# and sure enough u didn't disappoint lol

Good job pickin up on that ;)

and lol....well if I had gone free, it would have just been 3 wheels maybe. the parallel box allowed me some top end weight without frying myself

Cranberry and milk; who knew?

No love for almond milk?

And I've never drank milk standalone, hate cheese, and hate eggs.

Blasphemy...

I love some almond milk in my shakes. I seen now they have cashew milk and another company makes Chia seed milk which is what I use for my Pre bed shake

Man elitefts is having some fat deals on wraps and bands (and pretty good on other stuff, like fat gripz and crap). Can't get Iron Rebel's stupid coupon to work. LiftingLarge has 20% a lot of their Titan suits and wraps.

Strong bands are scary. Hang em from the top and get that 750 reverse band squat ;)

I have a buddy at the gym that owns a pair of short strongs. It's like wtf you gonna do with that!? 200 at the bottom 300 at the top, no thanks.

I can't stop losing weight. Can't stomach any calories beyond maitenance. It's pissing me off. Weighing 215.

Get some probiotics to restore the intestinal balance. Between the vomiting and the gorging, your GI is a little out of whack.

Just started taking a crap load of OxiMega Greens. Lactobacillus from that plus eating raw ginger (actually tastes good, weird...), I'm starting to feel normal again. Wish I had started the probiotics a week ago. Hopefully this appetite comes back.

One thing that I've noticed as I've gotten older and heavier is that my GI needs constant upkeep with either digestive enzymes or probiotics, especially after any sort of illness or gorging.

This very true
I take a cheap probiotic with every main meal

Today sucked. I didn't feel comfortable pulling until the 505 drop set. I bumped my stance out wide like it used to and it felt easier. It was such a short stroke.

Hopefully next weeks deloads kicks things into the right direction.

Thanks man. If I don't pull even a 5lb PR, I'm going to focus my efforts on conventional. It's technically sound whereas sumo is a mind fûck, although the 505x10 felt flawless. We'll see.

You've been sick, having trouble eating, and weight changes. I'd guess some leverage shifts occurred so I wouldn't be too disheartened that deadlifts felt tough.

Get well and get more food in you again regularly and I bet it'll iron itself out. ;)

Quite true, man. Thanks. I've gained two notches on my belt in the skinny direction since October 13th. One notch slowly on purpose. The other notch, in a week lol

deloads can seriously be the best thing for a person, i deloaded the past 2/3 weeks with only 3 x a week session feel rejuvenated

I'd be curious to see you dedicated to pull convo considering you nearly pulled what? 530 two years ago?

515 at my first meet, Apr 13 I believe. Who knows what my 1RM was around then. Curious here as well. More so just irritated with deadlifts in general lol

Inb4 600lb pull in one month haha

I told myself that if I ever missed a deadlift opener, that I would go and pull it conventional. Maybe I'll do that in two weeks ha
