I love the jms.. I've been using them lately myself. They're rough on my elbows though.. thinking I may start going heavier and wrapping them.
 
Pressing starting to look a lot smoother. Throw your elbows out a little faster at the top especially with the SS.

Thanks, man. And will do. My third rep with 315 looked the best. It had a pop to it. Dunno what the difference was though. Maybe elbows?

Looks like you gripped the bar better compared to the earlier reps. You get a little loose on the first one.
 
Agree^^^ everything looked locked down and tight on the third rep.

JMs and elbows for me is a lot of warm up and then really control and slow the negative portion of the lift. Don't just let the weight fall.
 
That heavy weight is going to teach your body to be tighter.

Also, I plan on peaking my pulls using Schwabs prep. Percents are based off of a projected max of 585. There will be some block pull and reverse band PRs the next two weeks.

Not yet. Spent some time afterwards BS'ing and then just raped a chipotle burrito. I plan on cleaning the baby powder off and taking pictures to attatch.

My foot felt less prone to rolling and I was liking them a lot. Hopefully they can hook me up.

I'd be shocked if they didn't considering it's the first usage of the shoe.
 
nice pressing and sumos man. I agree with the bench tightness, when I get my lats locked in the weights really pop off the chest nicely.

Max Barbell emailed back within the hour. It's the first they've seen reported of it. I'll be shipping them back tomorrow and they'll be sending a new pair.

Seriously though, glad you're back at it. 255 looked like cake. With your attention to technique I dont see any reason you won't be pushing 3 plates in a month or two
 
I had 235 for triples tonight as well on bench! 525x2 sumo looked really smooth and sexy man. How long is Schwab's prep? 12wks?

I think it's 16 weeks with the meet prep. I'm just taking the last few weeks for my deadlifts maybe just to ramp up intensity.

I'm keeping the straight bar off my back until after my gym's push/pull and just doing whatever I feel like with the squats.
 
Keeping the straight bar off your back is what's going to make benching so fun for you the rest of the year. You'll be amazed at how you breeze through prep.

I think not being gassed from squatting will be huge.

That's one thing that I think about when it comes to my first meet. Need to build a larger base to be able to pull after the other lifts. I'll get there.

I'm sure hoping so. 585+ I'll see next week. Will attempt 585 and 600 off blocks.

It's no joy ride come deadlift time. It sucks. It's a feat in itself going 9/9. I need to fix something for sure.

Meet 1: PR 2nd, missed 3rd
Meet 2: 1st attempt only, missed 2nd, skipped 3rd
Meet 3: 3/3 and PR'd. Didn't have a successful 3rd squat though
Meet 4: 1st attempt only, red light 2nd, missed 3rd

Meets suck.
 
Lilliebridge is a beast. The squat looked high but still...
