Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Both. If you have it, take it. If you have a certain number in mind you feel that you can get, take it. When I went to max out last Cube cycle, I told myself I wanted 575x3.

Depends on the practitioner and their style. I tell mine to go buck wild on me even though she says it should be 3/10 on pain scale. I break out in a cold sweat, breathe heavy, and end up bruised.

Hm. Maybe I'll bench beforehand then.

They asked me what's the problem area. I laughed and said everything. I'll worry about the AC joint first.

Lol my chiro can't fit all my problems into one weekly session, but going every week hitting a different problem each time.

585 for a triple jeez your squat is like my squat+bench and some additional weight on top of that lol. You'll get it bro, nothing but confidence in that.

Sumo Deadlift
416+80lb chain x3
416+120lb chain x3
468+80lb chain x3
466+4" Block (no chain) x2x3
468+80lb chain & straps x4

Safety Squat Bar Forward Lunge
155x3x8

Seated Chest Supported Row/Glute-Ham Raise
170x3x10/BWx3x20

I had trouble getting tension at set up with the first couple sets. Threw some block in there and worked on locking my knees out hard. Took the blocks off and breezed through 468+80. Took 468+120 for a ride and it stopped right above my ****ing knee for 2 seconds. I ran out of baby powder right before it. Powered through it at least. Only grabbed a few sets on video that I'll throw up later.

Thinking about breaking my 575x3 squat PR on friday. We'll see.

Vicious looking workout bro. Big A$$ numbers as always. Well done

Id say that was definitely rep effort ;) Nice work as usual man.

Thank you gents!!

I need to stop pulling on the Rogue platform. He has plywood underneath the carpet because the floor isn't level. Now it's dented the **** up so I lose balance easily. Plus it's a mild deficit because of it. Oh well.

Benching tomorrow AM.

Strong pulling man. Great chain work, sir Paul would approve.

I have the same problem. Damn OSB sub-flooring is dented to hell and the bar won't stay even. Pain in the ass, I'm angry before I pull just from the floor.

Holy chiro. I'm ****ing hooked. Give me more.

Assessment:
-Depressed left scapula, both with anterior tilt. No tears anywhere.
-Me being flat footed is bad. Problems in the left hip because of it. He wants me to wear arch support. He has me bringin all of my lifting shoes in on the 27th.
-Left hip flexors and glutes aren't firing when they should, which explains my delay in sumo lockout with that leg.
-Poor internal/external rotation of everything

He hooked electrodes up and pretty much gave me a seizure. Then he did Gratson technique with metal tool down my left arm and shoulder girdle. I didn't realize the my entire arm was 100% covered in bumpy adhesions. Then he did movement stuff and it hurt/not fired right. Hooked a laser up and **** magically worked. Then he used a hammer drill bit on my entire body and I gained all internal/external rotation of all joints.

lol sounds highly productive. I lold at your description of all the tools.

Sean, have I ever shown you my percussion hammer ghetto massage tool? Also go tell me what you thought on my pulls.

Sounds like you had a good experience man. I look forward to seeing how you improve with the treatments and what all he does for you.

Jesus Christ, I miss 3 hours and this log runs 3 pages....! Maybe we should have a vote to make this log a forum on it's own!!!???

Ohhh yeaaaaah, he has been bitten by the dungeon work.

As always, (the scene in Shaun Of The Dead when they are throwing the discs at the chick in the yard) I am sounding like a broken record...!
nice pullin' guy....!
Hope the drs rack work went okay!?

Everything looks great Sean.

What is the graston you're talking about? My Chiro has this banana shaped piece of metal he used to break down adhesions ... Basically it's another form of ART.

Also, started a log in the training section. All are welcome to follow.

That's it.

Yeah it's the metal peice. He kinda "skinned" me with it.

That's awesome. Sounds like you found a great chiro, buddy. I'm glad you found a good one right away, as there are many chiros that are not so good. I've been to 2 and they were both flaky and soft, and didn't really act too confident. Needless to say, I stopped going

I think it helped being recommended to him by a 300lb strongman named Big John.

I honestly thought after waiting around, getting my blood pressure checked, blah blah blah, that he was just gonna be like "Well you're messed up, we'll start working on you next week"

Yeah there are a lot of Chiros, but not many good ones.

Glad you're seeing this Guy. I've been going every two to four Weeks, depending on how I'm feeling, and I'm feeling much better all around.

Adjustments are holding better and when I'm out it's not as bad

Deferring your meet sounds well thought out to me, fwiw.

May come around here more if you keep lifting like this last deload shoulder sesh, and talk of 275 lbs benching, lol.:)

Keep up,the good work. Hope that finger heals up. Recurring sprained fingers are the worst. (Mine still kills on occasion from thumping someone in the head a few times months ago.)

That banana blade is evil, evil, evil. Will make your pee pee turn to baby dic#.

See youre back to the big boy weights, Sean. I am using the iPad app, which in am not accustomed to, and apparently started a few pages back. My bad. Good work, as usual.

Awesome that you found such a great chiro place, dude. This was the type of place I went to the year where I had 6 surgeries. Made all the difference. If only I could have such luxuries all the time. Makes such a huge difference in terms of recovery.

I can hardly wait to see you all (kinesio) taped up. That's coming ...

Feeling good. Hips/shoulder still not 100% and still need to maintain mobility drills. I can tell that my left scapula is moving much much better though. Rotated up and retracts much easier. The arm/shoulder he did the Gratson on is pretty tender. Only type of mashing I did was a double lax ball on my TSpine.

Nice sesh. Bombdiggity!

Doubled 606x2. When I shouted out to do a third rep, my weight shifted forwards and I racked it.

As happy as I am that I doubled a +5lb 1RM, I hate myself for losing balance.

Holy crap that's huge dude!!!! Sucks about the balance, but that'll happen with 600+ fücking pounds stacked on your back!! (I've heard).
Congrats Sean!
