Sean's Powerlifting Journey

it's worthless. Id get rid of it but my whole family is on it

I guess it depends on what u use it for. Wife n I actually share one just to keep in touch with some fam n friends. Barely go on it or update it, but i find it convenient to see what people up to that u don't get a chance to see much due to distance

That's the main reason I have it. Share family pics and whatnot.

We'll see how the hips feel with these when I squat tomorrow

365 strong looks a little pricey :(

I would like to read it though. Even if not for a training style, just due to the fact I like Brandon Lilly and what he brings to the table being 12th best all time and getting stronger.

Edit: no fb either, and nice sexy briefs man(no homo?) lol

Massage is done.

She gives me an anatomy lesson then makes me get into all the positions before she works on it.

Right above my femor was ungodly tight. Also, I thought my hip flexors were in good shape until she drove her elbow into spots Ive never bothered touching. It was excruciating.

Back pain is gone and external rotation is back.

Well spent $25

Damn, where'd you get that massage from? Most places here charge well above $50.

50% discount everytime I go for serving. Her son ships out for USMC basic in 2 weeks. $25 for an instructive lesson and painful elbows for 30-40 minutes

Can't beat that. Gotta be nice to learn from someone who REALLY knows how to do that stuff.

Nope, I went right to the low back chapter. I gotta save that link on my computer. That's some good shyt...

I like it, especially with the marker lines. Looking at anatomy pictures of a cut out hip does nothing for me. This helped me a ton understanding how they all connect.

Cleared onbox.

Squats tomorrow. I want to box squat with the SSB.

Who's got the best article/video tutorial there is for box squatting?

I box squat with my regular squat stance. For me, semi-wide...but I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone box squat narrow.

Edit; I'm dumb, saw OLY and assumed narrow. I prefer regular stance. There again, my stance is fairly wide so it works.

I like your style. Abuse that bar it'll make straight bar seem easy, providing you pull down on the handles to keep the weight shifted up

I haven't either. Wide sounds right. Purpose is to sit back and keep shins parallel...

I usually go as wide as my squat stance (which is slightly outside shoulder width).

But then again last time I went in to squat hips were ****ed so I brought my stance in and it felt pretty good.

Yup I love the SSB. I do pull down on the handles...helps keep my back tight. I'll go flat sole shoe tomorrow and play around with it.

I'm convinced that the PLers are the only ones who discuss leg training, video leg training...hell, for that matter, train legs.

SSB is the balls, I love squatting with that warlock.

Its on my list of bars I need:

First is gonna be Swiss Bar (or football bar), then Cambered, then SSB, etc.

Bookmarked that ATA home page. Looks like some good stuff from my quick look. Will check it out later.

That JTS squat video and article is awesome.

Hey Fu(kr I may not be a PL but I train legs more than anything else. Hell, some Weeks I even skip arm day.. Shhhhh, don't tell any of the bodybuilders that.

My leg sessions are usually just a few light leg curls and extensions. :)

Leg curls and leg press. They're the only way to build up legs properly. Who needs to squat when you can just load up the leg press machine with plates and look bad ass?

IMO SSB > cambered

SSB is just so good and versatile.

Unsubbed.

I can't handle these logs that talk about specialty bars. :(

Trap bar and log press are as special as I got!

I've never used the cambered except for the SSB.

Is it that much better?

Completely different feel. The cambered bar will sit on your back like a normal bar. It's pretty unstable because it wants to swing back and forth, so it's good for forcing yourself to stay tight.
