Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Pshh...I adhere to 'if its within your macros'

inb4 bro war about IIFYM.

I hold a very lean status all year long but my diet is far from boring, while still maintaining a very strong micronutrient profile. ;)

Jelly of the food though. Still trying to acquire everything I need for the new place. Food has been rather "boring" this last month with the lack of even some of the most basic kitchen equipment.

I agree totally...it's the end of the day total that counts.

I agree Bolt. I used to stick with a 40/40/20 and 40/30/30 when I counted calories. I looked a lot better, cooked all my meals for work and everything. I still eat relatively healthy and avoid the foods I should. Working 2 days on and 2 days off made me stop caring about being strict. Having a kid leaves me with no time to cook food for 2-3 days so I eat what they serve at work. It's still whole foods.. but ungodly high fat.

Lookin good! How are those higher rep SSB? I've only ever done them for max effort.

I'd imagine that would get hellish on the upper back. And add a lot of beef.

I'll be making a Caesar chicken salad for dinner..

That's what I'm talking about. People are blown away when they see how much and the good stuff I eat, but they don't realize the macro break down and total are what counts.

Also I am planning on learning more about the cube after all the good I have seen and heard. I was talking to some Friends of a friend the other night I know through something else, and the cube was brought up and I guess the one guy knows the guys who created it? Not sure if he meant lily or who exactly but he said its amazing and talked it up like you.

Your making real solid gains, I still envy your squat. Killing it man.

Thanks man. Youre the one with the heavy ass pull though

Definetly check out his book. I know you can find his original template on Scribd, but it doesn't do the book any justice.

Woo my Inzer briefs came in finally. Now I don't have to wear someone else's. Went with the power briefs before I can afford some nicer ones. The ones I have been wearing haven't given me the best support. These are sized correctly for me so I can rock these bad boys until my suits fit properly.

How much were they?

Good things take time.

Wouldn't trade my inzer belt for anything.

I wish I had my belt a size smaller. Only 2 holes left when buckled. I may just start wearing it until its too small for me. I don't feel like paying to ship it back, then paying shipping again for another, only to receive it a month later

You can always wear a hoody to the gym

I will do just that. I am really excited to jump into back squats again after my deload and show no quarter. Bench is finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel too I think.

I def. will jump on the book later this summer. I need to get some pay checks first.

SNS X-Gels will be part of my life come this weekend....with some forskolin...and my PeakBeta.

I also found a ball in my yard from one of the neighbors kid. Looked at it and thought "hm..I bet I can roll on it" ...It's now in my gym bag.

I stole a tennis ball back from my dog.... Lol.

I'm checking them out now. I'm also looking at the metal pro...

I wear Pro's. They're nice. You don't have to learn a different squat, and apparently they're entry-level in terms of stopping power and rebound, though I thought they were freaking impressive.

lol I just started X-Gels today, you logging it other than in here?

I have two tennis balls taped into a peanut, one hard rubber ball, one 1/2" diameter pvc pipe, and one 4" diameter pvc pipe in my bag at all times.

I carry some lacrosse, golf, softballs, and some taped together tennis balls in my gym bag too. Prepared for anything. :p

Nah. Already running a sponsored supp log. I don't want to create another. I can though if people are interested. I'll be ordering a second bottle and some more PeakBeta for the LCLT and run the whole 50 days along with the forskolin. I'll throw you SNS guys a review when I'm done.

Have you ran it before? I know Bolt loves it.

This is my first time running it, a review at the end would be much appreciated.

Always been too expensive in the past to run it, I'm just going to run it 1.5-2g 3 days a week on lower body days. Don't want to inflame the tricky elbow, so no upper days or off days.

Sad you guys are starting it up as mine runs out. :(

I really enjoyed it again and think during volume/hypertrophy blocks I will toss it in from time to time.

I have one bottle and had planned to get another. debating whether or not to dose ED or w/o days.
You do 4x week right? I'd do a higher dose on workout days only, seems to work just as well and stretches the bottle a little more.

Then I shall give it a shot.

Tryin to talk the wifey into drivin it to me at work tomorrow since I'm stuck on duty and it's at home on my doorstep.

I'd only take it pre-workout. More cost effective AND a more effective dosing method.

ARA is good stuff. The DOMs was brutal for me though. That seems to be user dependent on the severity. Nice recomp for me when I used it.

Also used preworkout only after the first week. Amazing thread started by Neuron in the supplement science section on bodybuilding dot com.

The gist is workout days with higher dosage, addition of GMS, a carnitine, and baby aspirin.

Got everything but the GMS. May need to order.
I'm running it without, will pick up a bottle of ALCAR or PLCAR soon though.

Stretching, foam roll, mobility drills, sprints, sled pulls.
