You mentioned on IG that you were pain free though. Do you think the tighter grip helps that?

I'm butt hurt because my Bicep hurt so I went against logic and benched again. Focused on a slow and tight descent, and gripping the ****ing **** out of the bar. What tools are you using for Graston?
Only done it myself a couple times-some fancy blunt serving knife, and a rounded edge spoon. Going to my Chiro for it next week.
I'll try those and look into a chiro. I've been wanting to see one regularly anyway. Thanks Sean.
NP I'd definetly recommend a Chiro doing it over yourself though. Watch some videos and do some reading for sure.
I haven't read any yet but watched several videos on it. I've never heard of it until you said something, which is surprising. You'd think that would be very popular amongst chiros and regular massage therapists.
I will next time for ya. Have to move some crap around for a side shot. I have one from the side from Monday on a friends phone and my shoulders were wanting to get in front of bar, which I feel like it happend with the 585. Your thoughts?
When you lock your knees on the pull, it looks like you do it at the expense of bar and hip positioning. The bar looks to be slightly ahead and hips slightly behind. It looks like that's the reason you tend to stall around that area because you have to muscle the weight up with almost pure upper back strength.
Just saw this!!!! also looking at his Instagram, he did that at 220lbs..... And he's lean as hell!Oh ****. Sam Byrd, an official 915 raw w/wraps squat at 219bw. Beat Duffin's 881.

Sean, you use straps on those heavy lunges?
Damn right I do! lol I did 90's today and didn't, but only did 2 sets. Facepulls too. Why do I forget to log stuff lol
Okay cool, bc I was only doing 40's today and was like "I don't think I'd walk very far with much more weight" lol
Thanks for posting natty

Went to an SPF meet at Chris Janek's new gym yesterday and handled some buddies (one's first meet, just 132!), and it's amazing how heavy the guys are compared to you squatting your numbers, Sean (and they're definitely not tested athletes either). The only raw guys getting under 710 yesterday were 275-SHW, and only a couple did it. Lots of Overkill love; first time I've seen one of their shirts up close and those wraps really were brutal looking. This is probably the fifth time I've ever been around Chris, and that guy really is a good dude. Hope he's able to move past AJ Roberts old record like he wants - if you guys ever get the chance to come through the STL area, it's a great power gym. Your log is always such a blast. I never feel like I need motivation to train, but if I did I'd find it here all the time.
