Hello Group,
I am 38 with secondary hypo.
The most sucessful (not necesarily monetarily), creative men have been those with high T levels. That was me. Now finally Im getting that edge back with the help of my Dr.
My Dr. placed me on 5 gm androgel 1ml 50 mgs pregnonlone cream and suggested 25mgs DHEA 2x a day. I feel good now! I upped my DHEA to 100mgs DHEA a day becuse my DHEA was so so low before and I feel even better now.
I have read that attempts to increase your free T levels will make your body down regulate its own T production in a person with a normal hpta.
How about those of us on replacement?? I feel great when my T is high. I use a 70% DMSO solution over my androgel for better absorbtion, I can tell a difference.
In short I want to raise my T levels because; I feel good when my T is high. But I also dont want the extra T to be amorisized. The Great Dr.(loved by all on this forum) doesnt recommend saw palmetto, I think its because it can drive your estradiol into the ground?? Is this why?
My libido was that of a teen ager until the age of 36. I was a sucessful real estate invester, vendor and worked full time etc etc etc ( I attributed this to high T levels as I read in Napolean Hills book I think) My T crashed and never really came back after a very damaging long lasting drinking binge which landed me in rehab (another story). I have had high T levels prior to this period. I had classic hair receeding, acne on shoulders etc, until I fell hard and deep off the wagon (alcohol) and ended up on HRT. I have to believe that "normal" T levels vary from person to person but with in a range. I was accustomed to very high t levels. My Dr. does indeed have me feeling good again but not as in my prime.
Suggestions to raise T without steroids, I dont want steroids. I hope I make sense here. I am a gym rat too, and have been since age 25, so naturally I am accustomed to and feel myself with the higher T levels.
How about nettle or DIM, 6-oxo(expensive though) to increase T by lowering shbg? Am I on the right track?
I think sharper, sleep better, feel better QOL with higher T levels and I dont think everybodys T levels are ideal for every person. Example; my cousin only wants sex 2 maybe 3 times a month, hes younger than I but mentally sharper and definaltey cognatively superior than I. I on the other hand ideally want sex about every day used to be 2x a day. Again I hope I made sense here, This is not about libido as much as about safetly maintaing a high T level, the high T level that I had naturally until about the age of 36. I strongly beleive I need to be on the higher end of the T scale thats where I was accustomed to. Any feed back please?
Thanks
Tony
