Ruck up sucka! iparatroop's permanent training home.

I know your pain there. I just got told it will cost 3600 to pass inspection for my car :(

It is. Gonna miss it though. 02 max. The trans/engine/starter are all good still...freaking rack and pinion out me over the limit on what is spend to fix it.

A D-Max? Sad day indeed my friend. Im selling my car here pretty soon as well. Bought it for 3, spent about 5 on it, and now its gotten to the point where I would need to spend another 4-5 to make me smile but its just not worth the work anymore. Sad days, I may never own another volvo again...

Man I hate car troubles my sons car needs to go into the shop. Of course the Extended Warranty just went out on it too.

S'all good though, I get my wifes Scion that I just bought new wheels and tires for 6 weeks ago. Well, new to me at least. Gonna have to do some serious maintenance here next week to make it happy. New coils, wires, plugs, alignment, timing belt, water pump, probably change out the rubber hoses for silicone, drain and fill the clutch, flush the cooling system, maybe new tie rods as well (she's been feeling a little lose). Oh and the standard oil change. Might put a new cold air system on the credit card as well...

Car is at the doctor. I thought it was the rear diff, initially. It's a 2004 VW R32. There's a rough rubbing noise coming from the back right corner. It's on coils so it could be a lot of different things. Rear diff fluid showed no signs of metal chunks, just standard flakes (good considering it has 136k miles on it). While it's in the shop I'm gonna get some other stuff taken care of that I've been meaning to but just haven't had the time. It's about to make a cross-country journey, so I'd like to have it in the best shape it can be in for that adventure. Will try to get to the fun tonight but it's doubtful. Probably have to wait til tomorrow. We'll call this another forced deload, I suppose.

Waking weight today, 188. Been a while since I weighed. Things are right about where I want them. I figure I have about 8lbs of unwanted weight right now, so I'll be a pretty stout 180 once I cut out some of the crap I've been consuming.

That is all for now. Thanks for reading.

I had the same noise on my car a few weeks ago. Turned out to be be a tiny rock stuck in the rotor. Dude said it happens all the time

Ohhhhh, you have a beetle, not a bug...
I had a '62 rollback rag prior to this R32. I've owned only VWs since my second car (including an Audi). I don't see myself purchasing outside of the VW/Audi family of vehicles. I do miss my Audi, a lot. The bug, not so much.

Dam dude.... You have more cars or more ink?
I only have one car right now. That's just what I have had in the past. Fortunately and unfortunately you can't trade ink in...
Sucks to hear about the car issues Para, but the good news is you're lookin' like a boss.

I.need.more.ink.
No worries mang and thanks. It's got a lot of miles on it and this is a minor setback. It's on the lift right now getting looked at. I'm sure it's gonna cost a bit to fix but whatever.

Get.more.ink.

You can post it here. It's not like I'm working out and logging it. I'm broken and so is my dumb ride. This next few pages could be tattoos that are regrettable and cool.

Oh I def have a couple regrettable ones. Both while totally shtfaced ...

I want to finish the jungle book piece on my left arm, and then connect everything else I have going on. Maybe one day I'll be all done. I have a lot of space left to fill though.

Little late on the regrettable but cool tattoo theme, but I always tell people "This is why people should not be allowed to get tattoos at age 18." And at the same time, it's pretty friggin awesome.

I'm with you on the Tundra. That will be my next ride for sure.

I like the black on black on black but with a polished lip or a polished face on the wheels. Not completely "Murdered" out.
