1st Dr. John, I met you last summer in Muskegon at Dr. Worels office. You were looking into hair removal process I think. Anyways, we met and I have your card.

Ok folks I am looking for some serious information in regards to my HRT and test results. I will try and make this short and understandable but...........

Lets roll, I have been on Androgel for a few years. Test levels always stayed low but not enough for the Dr. to care. I changed to a urologist and he put me on 10g/day Androgel. One month later my levels actually dropped from 270ish to 211.
He said he never new of this (not absorbing) and actually called in the Andro rep. So put me on 5g Testim. 1 month later my test levels dropped from 220 to 171.

Below are my numbers from this 1st blood test. I know its missing allot of important info but Dr. dont want to listen to suggestions (I gave my urologist a list of test suggested by Dr. j)

Major change in test levels 171 to 899. Anyways, what I need help on is my LH, FSH are so out of wack. My thyroid seems low. My E seems high. What the f does all this mean and how can I correct this.

Funny thing is nurse said Dr. said tests looks good keep doing what I doing. Im looking at the 4 pages of stuff and there are
8 or 9 levels that are in bold as being high or low, LH/FSH actualy labled ABNORMAL. But Dr. says its cool. WTF is that about.

Guys, I know you see tons of these posts but I am really looking for some help in understanding what these letters, the numbers and how to correct them. Obviously my urologist doesnt know ore give a **** because he isnt addressing anything. I do love the test e but come on this is my life and I want it back to normal. LOW TEST = DEPRESSION.

Im not looking for any smart ass comment telling me to do my research and read all the other posts. Im looking for some helpful people who understand this stuff. I have read so many posts and there are some incredibaly smart people on this site

Meds
.125 mcg synthoid
300 mg lamictal (bi-polar)
150mg wellbutrin (depression)
10mg Klonopin as needed for sleep
200mg Provigil couple times a week when I need a boost, tired or depressed.

Was on 20 mg Zyprexa to try to make me feel happy for once but read on how harsh it was so stopped mid June.

4000mg fish oil, creatine, ADAM multi

Thanks in advance.

Try doing your 50mg shots every 4 days. Your E2 is high and lowering your T dosage can help with that.
Your doctor says there is no problem with LH or FSH because he does not know what to do about it.

1st thanks for your imput. I cant tell you howm much I appreciated everyones time and efforts. I was hoping somone would respond to the E2 level. I asked the nurse about getting something to take to control E2 and to keep my nuts working. Again, tests looks good. Im sorry but I AM SO F-ING PISSED ABOUT THIS.

Thanks in advance.

Repost your blood test with numbers, units, ranges.
If possible from now on do you tests at Quest, blood drawn at Quest on the day of the T shot, before shot.
---------------------------------------------------------

TEST=899
SHGB=22.8 good news, nice number
ALBIMUM=4.5 good

Per Dr Shippen's chart you should be happy with T=900
your current dose of testosterone is just right.
Do not change it.

Find out other problems, try to correct them.
As you do, always recheck the T, SHBG, Albumin.
If you are not using hcg your testis are in process of getting shut down,
that results in:

1. you T level will go lower until steady state (dead testicles) is acheiwed
2. your testis will shrink.

While on T supplementation your LH & FSH will go down to zero.
If you are paying cash for blood test, skip testing LH & FSH

Im not on HCG and I asked the nurse yesturday exactly that ? I said shouldnt I be on HCG or clomid or something so my nuts dont die.

I guess I will have to try and figure a way to get it myself. At this point I dont see him writing a script since apparantly its not a big deal to him. I'll call the HCG HOTLINE, LOL.

Isnt LH and FSH part of your testies creating test/sperm/making a baby.

My insurance covers most of the blood tests and its great getting 10mg test e bottles for $10.00 co-pay. So now I got to work on getting HCG.

Any suggestions for thyroid and E2 #. Im sure the E2 I will need to try and correct this with a OTC product. Thyroid would like to get Armour but family Dr. is a ***** about this

Good news with your insurance.
Take my long list and do the test.
HCG and Armour you could get on internet but make a good will effort to get script for it.

I am confused by Megazoid's post (with Dr Marianco's e-mail in it), in regard to Armour vs Syntroid.

In case of weak adrenals Dr Marianco prefers Synthroid over Armour. Plus he claims that everybody converts T4 to T3 which is contrary to what STTM preaches. Dr's theory is that weak adrenals control the amount of T4 being converted to T3. Adding T3 (Armour) directly, additionally stresses adrenals.

I am not a doctor, I do not know what's right what's not.

Using HCG should protect your fertility, in case of problem add HMG for the duration.

Was that 10mL testosterone bottle, not sure how Enathate is supplied, you are not in USA, right?
In USA mostly Depo_T is used. Do noy make an issue on this with your doctor, not important.
Wonder how sezame oil flow thru thin needle vs cottonseed oil, slower, faster?

I am using subQ around navel for both HCG & T

Just to re-emphasize some of the help you've been getting here...

Don't worry about FSH and LH. of course they are going to be low when you are on TRT. The HCG will keep the testicles normal and Dr. John (and a bunch of other smart docs) like doing that as well as the injects but you shouldn't worry about FSH and LH. Your doc was actually right (for the most part) about not worrying about that.

Secondly, I definetly agree with the rec to get on Armour thryoid. that, or definetly increase your synthroid dose. It seems to me the reason the test gels were so worthless for you was because your hypothyroid.

Also, look into Iodoral or lugol's for iodine for the thyroid and other related issues.

38 years old?

HCG is something that you must do. You need to advocate for your needs strongly for HCG and AI.

Not sure the forum boards rules and regulations but if its cool could point me in the right direction to look into HCG and Armour? Im gonna try and push my Dr. for this as well as somthing to help lower my E2.

Any suggestions as to protocall for any E2 med, type, how much.

I am gonna try and find info on dosegages of HCG and how much Armour to add.

HMG - ? Never heard of this. I will try and research on it.

I am from Michigan, USA and I get Test e 5ml x 2 bottles per script. Forgot the generic brand name for Test e but thats what I get.

I usuallt use 22-23 gage 1 in for leg or shoulder injects and 1.5 long for but injects. Its pretty thick going though that size of pin but only taking it at 50mg/shot isnt that bad

What is the benefits of SubQ in belly? I am guessing the fat slows down the test

THnaks, gonna go look for source for HCG, Armour, anti E and read on the HMG

You do have a lot of your plate I was down this road after much testing and seeing the wrong Dr.'s I ended up on AD meds for 5 yrs before we found out it was low T. I was on so many AD meds I had to go into a Re-Hab Hosp. for 30 days to get off them. Going on TRT help to make me feel better but it took me 23 yrs to find out I am Hypopituiry and looking back at my labs going back to day one my labs were screaming a Pituitary Problem. I now treat my low T, cortisol, Thyroid, DHEA and Aldosterone.

If you live in MI. what are you waiting for go see Dr. John and get fixed. Invalid Link Removed.

Typical arimidex starting doses are 1mg/wk, followed by BW and adjustments if needed. Need for this is base on BW, body composition and changes and strongly on symptoms. Here is where it is very important to tell your Doctor how you feel, libido, ED, mood, energy, depression, brain fog, fat loss, fat gain, fat distribution change... or not etc. You can have all of those things when the TRT is otherwise effective. You need to write down a lot of info about things like that, the more that you have, the more your Doctor can understand what is going on... and here is where one Doctor can shine and other can be oblivious. Most important is how those dimensions are relative to before TRT and relative to the sweet spot that often occurs in weeks 2-6. The loss of those gains can often be from increases in estrogens.

HMG is not a drug, you will never get a script for that.

HCG dosing is typically 250iu SQ twice a week, sometimes 250iu SQ EOD.

Armour? Can't say, treatment for thyroid issues is not cookie cutter!

For 1" needles try #25 gauge.

Go see Dr. J !!!!!!
