I don't know why this thing isn't letting me multi quote. Thanks for all the support guys. I really appreciate it. JimBuick, I don't get enough front views to tell for sure, but I like to think I am closer. I always use the rings to line up and this was a different bar...but nice call. If you ever decide to powerlift again Im sure you could do a better totalWrivest, this is my third meet. This is the year anniversary. This time a year ago I finished with 935. Now I have a 1105.
As for notes...I will say I peaked too soon. I tripled 250 on bench like 6 weeks ago, hit 400 easier on squat, and 455 dead was pretty easy...but that one I will say is likely fatigue. I was rushed first attempt and only got it bc I picked right(squat). On bench, I don't think I feel heavier weights enough, and that is bc I don't manage my stress very well. If my elbow is beat up I can't go heavy, if I leave it beat up too much I go too long without feeling weights. It was not a factor on my miss. That was all just me not being used to it(I think).
Overall I am happy bc I am stronger than last meet even on a day that I wasn't at my 100% best. I look forward to planning my training better and beating all of these numbers next time.
Thanks again guys!
EDIT: one last thing, I am actually proud of myself for making that 3rd squat after missing it. That takes....moxy I think the work is. I am also very lucky that my wife was willing to do this 12 hour day with me haha okay Im done.
Lol, right now I'm not certain I will ever even squat or deadlift again!
Sick 1 year progress man. Solid videos too....hitting that third squat had to take some guts after that miss.
Congrats Rob.
You grabbed a few PR's and set yourself to do the same next meet. Success!!
Get that back better man! Go to a chiro and start light. That's what I did when I ****ed up last September. I started 5/3/1 with a max like 100lbs under my actual.
Lol, I can't even get down to the bar right now. Hell, 85# rows has my back messed up for the last 3 days.
GREAT day, bud! Not a perfect day, but definitely a great one. 55lbs in PRs over a 9/9 day is pretty amazing.
That 450 was smooth, man. Great work buddy.
Yeah and fast too big guy.
I would guess you were a bit gassed too, since you looked good for quite a bit more right there.
Yea that's what I thought. I was kinda surprised I missed, but I was beat. Got there at 8 and deads happened around 5:30
Yikes! Long day.
Great work though man.
Your did a great job rob in all your vids those attempts looked very fast and smooth
So 1500 by the next one?
Like I said about how your weights moved I think u had 12 too
I think the gym just allows me to push a bit hard then I normaly would by myself but I'm gaining confidence in myself weekly

So did I ha
What did u put in I put 465
I bench press a sloth bear.
I am sore as a mother ****er today boys and boys
I heard that, chief! I had the weirdest sore spots. Pecs and bi's from my third deadlift, adductors from benching, traps, neck, spine, everything. Headache all day, too. Much different from a 9/9 day after, wouldn't you say, buddy?
Yea man, my freaking forearm started throbbing and bending about 5 degrees has me bracing my core bc my PC is shot.
I guess failing attempts sucks worse than getting them bc I am wrecked!
Good shït Rob! Does having a shirt that long bother you when you squat? I noticed it was getting tight around ur arse. (Zero way to say that and not sound ghey...so I just went for it)
Good speed on the squats
It felt a little harder than it looked.
Oh did it?
Great squats! Looked nice & fast! Yeah I like how sometimes under the bar it feels like torture & everything must be all out of whack, but look at the vid & stuff looks alright -
