Well I initially thought mine was coming 5 days before I actually got my hands on it. It is all part of the experience!

suuuuuuper late but im in here

hows sleep so far ricky?

I think it took me a few nights to adjust to a supplement that we can assume to be a higher melatonin content than 1 capsule of ProSupps Crash or 1 capsule of IML Dream-N-Grow. Now that I have gotten used to it....things are going quite well! Some night/days better than others, but that is bound to happen anyway.

Day 7 Summary

Today I had less time available to sleep than usual because I had to come home and take care of all the snow at my house after work, and I work again tonight. I was not in a good state of mind! I don’t even know when I officially took my dose today (I work nights), but I am guessing I got a solid 4 hrs of deep restorative sleep.

I was not as specific today about watching the clock for logging purposes, as I was more focused on fighting the urge to just leave everything where it was, hook myself up to an IV drip of RE1GN and drive myself nonstop to Florida!

I have not noticed any impact on mood upon waking or throughout the day for the matter. I just get the the post dose/pre sleep increase in mood and relaxation. I have other supplements for waking hours that take care of that though!

As you can see, xtyler has noted some carry over mood enhancement. Unfortunately, it seems to be at the price of the beginning stages of early onset dementia :dance2:

my aunt had dementia before she died and now my mom has signs of it...they were both in late 70's when it started to show, and it only seems to effect the female side of my family. are you taking anything to delay it?

Well, I think it is xtyler we have to worry about at the present time. As far as I go, I walk around like a fart in a windstorm at baseline. However, I just placed an order yesterday for AZOTH, so the phosphatidylserine content in there should start me on the right path!

lol. xtyler....i've been hearing good things about coffee, I got my mom to add a 2nd cup in the afternoon and I usually drink at least 3 cups.

My father has been showing signs for years. I ordered him some Nootrol a few months ago as a gift, and he took it as an insult. I am pretty sure he never took it. He is not much of a supplement person, he probably just takes a centrum daily vitamin which he then just passes in his next stool.

We are not much alike in that regard...

lol...your father sounds just like my mom AND my wife....and like you I am not like them in that regard!!!

We just know more than they do...

about supplements and health yes....got a lot of respect for what my mom had to endure, and I'm sure you feel the same about your dad!!!

Looks like I might be in the same boat lol.....Got home from work yesterday, still no package. Went and checked shipping status and I get this "The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. An updated delivery date will be provided when available." It left New Jersey on the evening of 2/5 and still has not made it to Michigan, smh. Part to fix my snow blower was suppose to arrive yesterday also via USPS and that now has the same status as my OL order :( Oh yeah we are also suppose to get 6-9 inches of snow today too, plus 2-4 on Saturday and Sunday. If I could fight everyone at USPS I would

Ugh...no snow blower = no go for me. One could argue it is a good workout, but after a 12.5hr night shift plus the commute, I am in no mood for that. Plus, it is horrendous on the lower back. Kind of impossible to bend at the knees and keep your back straight when shoveling an entire driveway. I am sure someone at there has tried...haha!

Do you think the same as I do on the snow blower I always say it won't snow this much next year so we're not getting one.

Yeah lower back and my ankles are my trouble areas (screwed both up being young and dumb) so shoveling multiple days in a row starts to take it toll on my back. Its snow every day this week except for Thursday so ofcourse this is the week the dang thing decides to crap out

I did that for years but finally broke down and bought one and never looked back. Actually my old neighbor moved from Michigan to Florida so I bought his snow blower off him for dirt cheap, so I was kinda forced into it haha

it's like moving a piano, you have to learn the proper technique, lol. I do all my shoveling at home by hand....but I do use a 4 wheeler with attached plow for mall and commercial sidewalks.

Yeah, but you are a brick ****house!

Day 8 Summary

This was the last of my 3 night work stretch, but I will be back at it through the weekend. I took my AMNES1A this morning and probably fell asleep around 9:30 AM and woke up at 4:30 PM. That is pretty awesome!

I will say that daytime sleep sessions have always tended to be longer on days that I don’t have to turn around and go back in to work that night. I did wake up briefly early in the afternoon, but knowing that I did not have to work allows me to stay completely relaxed and makes falling back asleep much more likely. It is more of a subconscious factor than anything else..

Even still, it felt really good to get 7 hrs of solid sleep!

Yes, it definitely is...

I was not so sure about it the first few days and I was kind of anticipating that it was not going to end up agreeing with me due to the melatonin content being higher than I am accustomed to. I did some research on melatonin, and people’s experiences etc..

Apparently it is very common for people to ditch melatonin after trying it for one night and having the adverse reaction of sleeping worse. I was guilty of that myself years ago when I tried it as an isolated ingredient. Turns out, it is very common for people to need at least 3 days to adjust to melatonin supplementation to enjoy the benefits. This seemed to be the case for me as well with AMNES1A..

I can definitely foresee this becoming a staple supplement for me...

nice...I didn't know that, I've never had any issues with it though...it doesn't really work all that well for me, but it never caused any issues.

I get the impression you sleep well anyway....without using any supplements for that purpose?

Night 9 Summary

Coming off a solid 7 hours of sleep during the day yesterday and subsequently going out for dinner and a few drinks, I was not very tired last night when it came time to go to bed again around 11 PM. I still took my AMNES1A, but the situation itself was not conducive to me having a solid night of sleep and I only ended up getting about 3 hrs. Obviously this has nothing to do with the performance of the product. Back to work tonight and tomorrow night :(

I don’t think I will be updating every day (or night) from this point forward, as I think the experimental phase has passed. I will continue to give occasional updates though as needed. I don’t think I would be able to choose one product over the other if I were to be asked right now which I prefer between Dream-N-Grow and AMNES1A. That in itself truly is a compliment to Olympus Labs though...nicely done!

Thank you to everyone that has followed along and feel free to ask any questions, post your own experiences, and keep the thread alive!

nah...I've got scripts for both Xanax and ambien, but don't like to use them...usually i'll just drop 2 Benadryl and on occasion a gabapentin with it for rls...I only use 250mg gabapentin, but even that low dose causes sexual sides if used regularly--it's kind of a shame too because gabapentin really helps me sleep and it kills/deadens nerve pain.

you notice any less pain while using amnesia?

I am lucky enough to not have any chronic pain. Having said that, I strained my wrist a bit today lifting and it's causing a pinching sharp pain. Hopefully this does not become a chronic issue...haha!

Thanks for keeping us updated! Truly glad you've been enjoying it, even with your irregular sleep schedule. I would expect the rest of the bottle to continue treating you well. :)

you got awhile...chronic pain didn't start for me until late 40's, lol.

Make that the rest of my 2 bottles, and most likely many more after that!

I always like to have something to look forward to :)

The funny thing is that I used to have fairly consistent issues with back pain, and frequent shoulder issues in my mid 20’s to early 30’s. At 41, I have been pain free for quite some time now. I think all the supplements I take have my body so confused as to what is going on, that it doesn’t have any free time to elicit any chronic inflammatory responses!

Awesome! I would encourage everyone that was initially turned off by the melatonin content to keep an open mind and give AMNES1A a shot. I was one of those people, but something told me to just forget about that and see what this formula in its entirety can do for me. As I said before, everyone should give themselves at least 3 days to get used to the melatonin content before coming to a conclusion that the product is not agreeing with them. Those people without prior melatonin hang-ups or sensitivities will probably slide right into this product flawlessly.

On that note:

Current Update:

Damn you AMNES1A...damn you!

I went to sleep after work yesterday around noon after taking my AMNES1A probably close to 2 hrs earlier. I had to go back into work last night as well, and report to work at my usual starting time of 6:45 PM. I barely ever set my alarm because I am always awake before it goes off. Of course, yesterday I did not set my alarm and I woke up at 6PM! This left me about 10 minutes to get ready for work. Aside from throwing some clothes on, the rest of the time was devoted to consuming and packing up all my usual supplements for the night. Needless to say, I was late...:spankme:

Point being, I have not even been at risk for doing that for years! Obviously I was enjoying some restful deep sleep. I can’t say that my mood was all that spectacular when I woke up though...nor did I have the chance to enjoy any night wood.

Yeah, I have only completely overslept going in to work (3 hrs late...haha) once. That was about 5 years ago. As I have said before, I can’t remember the last time I had to rely upon my alarm to wake me up prior to going in to work at night...but it has been years. Last night...it would have happened. Unfortunately, I did not get to enjoy such a victorious moment due to never setting the alarm. I know that I will have to make the effort to make sure my alarm is set now though. That in itself is progress!

It goes in streaks. Technically, it is just 3 nights per week, but that can mean up to six nights in a row. This past stretch was made extra special due to being called in for an extra shift. There are times when I am off for close to a week though without using any vacation time.

I believe I fell asleep around noon today and slept until 8 PM....8 hrs! I will be off now until Thursday...

I normally use
Passion Flower 700mg
Glycine 2grams
Magnesium 500 mg
Skullcap 2 caps (not sure on the dosage)
Agmatine 500mg

I have been doing this for awhile and it stays very effective for me. It doesn’t knock me out but relaxes me and I sleep deep. No hangover feel in the morning. I will try out Amnes1a out to see how it compares to my usual night time stack.

* I add 4 grams of red Bali Kratom to my night time stack a few nights during the week.

Agmatine is an interesting addition. I tend to take that more often than not fairly close before going to bed as well. Not for enhanced sleep purposes but I can see how it could be beneficial. The proposed stimulation of GH and LH for starters..

I keep hearing and researching great things about glycine as well! I have only not tried it out because I just have so many supplements that it is beyond ridiculous :yikes:

I look forward to seeing what you think of AMNES1A!

General Update

Things have been going great! It continues to work as expected without any side effects. Unlike some of the other similar products I have used in the past, I get the sense that AMNES1A will not lose efficacy as time goes on. Once I get back on a work stretch, I will continue to look for how beneficial it is in extending how long I am able to stay asleep during the day. So far, I would say there is definitely an improvement there. Even when the sleep has not been that long during the day, it still feels like I obtained more sleep than I actually did.

Told ya....works great but no addiction and no withdrawal :)

That is good news....the last thing I need is another addiction!

While the formula itself does not contain any addictive ingredients, the resulting sleep enhancement can be a bit addicting. I can live with that though :approve:

No. You can't live without that :1244:

Update

Yesterday morning, I got home from work and ended up falling asleep before taking my AMNES1A....which was not intentional. I subsequently woke up about 3 hours later and realized what had happened. I considered taking my dose then, but it was too late as I did not have much time left to sleep at that point and I did not want to risk being foggy headed going back in to work.

I did fall asleep again but it was very on and off. I actually think I was awake much more than I was asleep and I certainly never obtained any deep sleep. Overall, not a very successful daytime sleep session and I missed my AMNES1A...

Oh...we just got a new puppy...golden retriever. Just what I needed! The barking has been relentless

Good thing she’s cute.. :boobies:

I will post a pic once I get one... (that is not her in the pic above)

Update

I have stuck with the 4 capsule dose every night (or day) and things are still going well! To be honest, I just pop them and don’t think much about it...it just feels very natural. Nighttime sleep sessions have been flawless! Daytime sleep sessions have still been shorter than I would like....but it’s tough too fight nature. When it comes down to it, we are simply not programmed to sleep during the day. Still, it is much better for me to take this before a day sleep session as opposed to doing without.

Despite how long I have slept during the day or night....I have felt less tired in general during waking hours since starting this supplement. It’s hard to believe it’s almost time to crack open my second bottle!

that is a nice update, glad to hear it is working well for you!!!

I just ordered two more bottles of AMNES1A, as my second bottle I started out with is getting dangerously low. The only thing that has really changed at this point is I don’t get that post dose/pre-sleep mood uplift anymore. Not a big deal though by any means..

Aside from that, there will be a major positive change to my sleep hygiene in the next couple of months as I will be working the day shift! The downside is that the work will be more frustrating and I will lose my shift differential. :crying:

Some things are more important than money though...sometimes..

more potential for advancement on day shift, right?

No...I am more or less in a dead end job. Only step up is management...not going to go there! :)[/QUOTE Ricky10 for manager

Glad your getting switched.... I worked overnights (12-8) for a couple months and it was brutal... I just never got used to,it and could only sleep about 4-5 hrs in the daytime. I don't know how you did it for so long bro!

Man I was the same way, some days I would have to be at work by 5:30am, then the next day I would have to work second shift. Basically my schedule was all over the place for like 4-5 months and I could not get in any type of rhythm. Totally wrecked my sleep schedule and I just felt like a zombie the entire time.
