My food habit is greatly dominated by Rice. The place where I live Rice is the main food. So,I want to know what are the disadvantages of having Rice?? and How much quantity I should take in a day.....I think I am getting fat for Rice ,Rice and more Rice....:D

It depends on how much rice you are eating. if you are getting fat eating rice then cut back on the amount you are eating.

lol yeah; pretty simple issue. It's a matter of caloric maintenance and expenditure. And also hitting your macro goals.

Most of my carbs come from brown rice, vegetables and fruit.

Calculate your carb total and only eat enough rice that fits in your daily macros.

You need to eat rice because you need the carbs that provide the body with energy, just don't eat it too much though

He beat me to it! I was going to say to make sure it is BROWN RICE! Keep the bleach out of your diet. Anything that has been bleached has had it's nutritional content mostly robbed! Try to ensure you are getting adequate protein intake as well. The combination of beans and rice gives you a complete branched chain amino acid. Any animal source is also a complete protein but be wary of saturated fats!

in many cultures white rice is the predominant meal component, yet you do not see their population overweight. In the end, calories in calories out. White rice has more calories than brown rice so either switch to brown rice to reduce calories, or eat less white rice.

Brown RIce is obviously the better choice, however if you still insist on the need to consume white rice the ideal time to eat white rice would be following a workout. Your body could actually benefit from the white rice because of the insulin spike it would create. Only 1-1.5 cups of white rice is needed and a sufficient protein source, the white rice will increase the absorption rate of the protein source.
