Removing Malodextrin (simple?)

I realize this is probably a stupid question... I want to get the 1,4add powder out of some capsules that have a malodextrin filler (and use it in a transdermal). Can I simply mix with water and then use a coffee filter? I figure one is lipophillic and one is hydro? (And before you flame me, I realize that 1,4add has a reputation for high oral bioavailability.) Thanks.

Yeah that would work, then wash the filtrate a few times to get all the sticky off.

Only if the 1,4x is lipophilic because the maltodextrin is hydrophilic

Also the solution in the bottle would be the maltodextrin/water solution.

I didn't mention a bottle...

... but I expect that the 1,4add is what's left behind on the filter. Maybe that's what you meant.
