Rehab for Boxers Fracture

Hey guys,

So I was stuck in a cast for 3 weeks after breaking a knuckle. Now that I'm out I have lost tons of dexterity and flexibility, as well as size on my forearm. It's really depressing.

I broke my index finger knuckle specifically, which isn't as common. I have 0 range of motion in my joint at the moment, making grabbing a barbell or dumbbell very difficult.

So does anyone have experience with this type of fracture? Any rehab exercises so I can use to gain back my mobility and strength in my index joint? Or will I loose my range of motion permanently?
Thanks.

I tore a bunch of nerves at the bottom of my right hand. When you can move the finger try this.

I manly did the following:

- make hand into fist
- open hand as fast as possible

Repeat 10 times

Do 3 times a day

If I would of had more in my Arsenal I would have gotten some sort of soft hand ball and squeezed that. Your gonna have to start small and work up from there.

I broke my ring finger, and messed up the joint.
I ride (rode) motor cross, and was not able to bend my finger.
So I just putted around the yard etc...
I asked the doc if it was a bad thing, of course he said yes.
Then he was like, "as long as you aren't stressing to much, the vibration will help.
I balled my fist as much as possible, (still do as it tends to get really sore)
The key that worked for me was vibration.
It doesn't feel all to well to start, but after a week I was bending my finger, then I started pushing it closed more and more.
It still doesn't close all the way unless I squeeze it completely, but down quite a bit

Okay I'll give vibration a shot.
Now I finally have an excuse to buy a dildo. Jk jk.

I've been using a stress ball daily, but very slow progress.

The stress ball does help, but vibration was the determining factor for me.
I kept up doing both.
A dildo my not be a half bad idea lol!
Something you can close grip around and get vibration.
Maybe you can take it one step further and get one that twists too! Lol!
