Quick Question Thread - Throw 'Em Up!!

*I asked on the other forum, but thought i'd ask here too...*

I've experienced sore throat and a head cold, and have read a bunch of other people experiencing that as well. I heard it suggested that the Cell Mend is actually doing that as a way to detoxify, and then once being sick is over, you feel effin good.

Well, I'm not at the feeling effin good part yet, and was wondering, what's up? Coincidence that so many people are getting the same symptoms, or is this detox thing legit?

Can you elaborate on this a little or point me to what you are talking about. I just posted about being dog sick like 2 days ago, and it hit me all of a sudden. see:

USP stuff and antibiotics, any one have experience. Im dog sick all of a sudden, and I think Im gonna have to stop everything. Any ideas???

Im probably sick from the stress caused from mullet not getting back to me Immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

:icon_lol:

thanks for any info.

I'm sorry man, I posted everything that I know. Other than I think cellmend's antibacterial properties were mentioned, but yea, I tried to see this as a coincidence, but now it seems a little less so.

I'm confident mullet will clear this up. I'm actually at the tail end of my sickness, and just have the odd sinus pressure/vertigo. Once that goes aways I'll be good.

hmm, my throat has been sore for the last week or so and I wasn't sure why. Maybe that was it. Anyway, it's better now!

ye i had the same thing - a really nasty sore throat and cold for a few days in my 3rd week of Prime... u reckon this has somethin to do with the Prime??

Hey Mullet, why are so many people running prime at 9caps a day, w/o having tried a full bottle at 6 caps a day? I have yet to start mine, but I feel like I don't know something....

If you've got the spare product front load it for 10 days - you'll see why if you do. :head:

There is nothing in the data, that I can see at the very least, that would suggest TC/TA would be causing such a reaction; however, I am not discounting user experience by any means! Subsequently, I will investigate further, and see if I can develop a postulate(s) as to why this is occurring.

I knew I could count on you man. And for what it's worth, I feel a million times better now. It's just that, in almost every log I subscribed to, people mentioned head colds, runny noses, and sore throats, or a combination thereof.

And just so we're clear, I'm only trying to get to the bottom of this whole sickness thing, as I'm certainly not mindlessly bashing.

I have been intermittently reading and reviewing the anecdotal feedback, but have tried to separate myself from it just in case that I make preemptive commentary; once each log is nearing completion, I can offer a more reflective and complete view of the possibilities - therefore, I have necessarily missed this particular concern to date.

And just so we're clear, I'm only trying to get to the bottom of this whole sickness thing, as I'm certainly not mindlessly bashing.

No need to clarify! I understood your intent.

You're like, the tenth person to mention it (exact same symptoms). So yea, I think so.

Lets be sure to be accurate, just in case we need to compile any data. I was in week two, and didnt have a sore throat at all. But I got antibiotics from the doc, and stopped taking everything, and I still feel like crap, but Im better than I was. The first three days I thought it was allergies/sinus and didnt goto the doc right away, then I got a fever/chills/sweats at night, then the next day I had tons of congestion and thought I was going to cough up a lung. All our incidents could be just an unpleasant coincidence, but I would like to keep an eye on things.

Everything is almost the same expect when I felt hot/feverish, I never got my temperature checked to see if it actually was a fever. Too lazy/toughed it out instead of walking to the health center to make an appointment.

Mullet, here is my report, as accurate as possible:

- Prime was at 9 caps per day
- Started Monday, felt a "throat tickle" Thursday night. ie: the. "****, I'm about to get sick/the flu, throat tickle"
- woke up with a semi sore throat.
- for the next four days it blew into full out nasal congestion (thick green and yellow mucus) alternating with sinus leaking, coughing, and sore throat which also resulted in a stomach ache due to the post nasal drip.
- at the tail end, the congestion and sore throat were gone, but my head/sinus pressure was intense and painful. The kind where you are painfully aware of every bone in your face every time you take a step or walk down the stairs

More notes:
- during the 4 days of full out sickness, I took Vitamin C pills, at about 3 grams per day, split into 3 i gram doses, similar to the dosing protocol for cortisol suppression (there is a study on it, actually)
- I never stopped training, and still was able to improve upon my workouts
- I never stopped taking Prime, expect for taking the recommended 2 off.
- during this time, I've been having to force feed myself, still no extra appetite

just to add - I too felt pretty run down and a bit ill at about 3 weeks in (front loaded 8 caps per day 2 weeks), I chalked it up to co-incidence and it may well be.

Feel bright as a button now though. Still waiting for mega strength gains though... I'm up a good 4-5lbs (end of week 3/start of week 4) and i'd say look slightly leaner if anything! but the strength just isn't progressing in line with that. I'm majorly confused on that front! Today i just about managed 115kg (255lb ish) on the bench at the end of a 5x5 set... i was doing that a month ago too, now i just weigh 4lbs more lol. I'm going to change up the routine next week a bit and see what happens.

I have this "throat tickle and nasal congestion" right now but it hasnt got any worse

I also want to add I know a few people sick right now who have not taken prime, just to keep it unbiased, so there is something nasty going around, but wouldnt this be weird if it was a reaction to the ingredients working, like the 'test flu' some folks get.

Mullet I can't find a single google hit regarding Striviti Research except in your ads. I'm curious about this research group, and was wondering if you could provide any more information about them. Even the most random searches usually give me something on google, but not a hint of this engimatic research company.

USPLabs has partnered exclusively with Striviti Research, the highly-esteemed research group out of India.

Along with USPLabs American Research team and Striviti Research, USPLabs has research teams in Australia and Asia to create the most unique and effective bodybuilding supplements in existence today.

Well, if Striviti was exclusively in-house, I would have no qualms with presenting this group with the utmost transparency; that being said, they are an independent entity distinct from USP Labs, and merely operate in an exclusive research capacity with our company. As a result, I do not feel it is necessary - or, further, my place - to reveal details aside from those which appear on our website. I hate to remain so vague and shrouded in mystery, but I feel we maintain a certain sense of ethical business transparency, and anything beyond that is simply unsound business practices.

My comments were totally unbiased. I'm certainly not insinuating that Prime gives people the flu, but when I notice 5-10 people all getting the same symptoms in the first couple of weeks of using the same supplement, it says "pay attention to me. I might not be important, but you should still notice it."

And you never know, perhaps a few random people taking the same supplement got a similar bug. Stranger things have happened.

I wasnt insinuating anything from your comments, I am as perplexed as you, and since I am someone whos sick, I would really like to see if there may somehow be any kind of weird correlation, or its simply just a very bizarre coincidence. But I felt it was prudent, and totally unbiased to add, since I just got off the phone with a friend I havent talked to in a while, who just happens to be complaining of the same illness, that along with him, I know a couple of other people, not at all involved with supplements, who have come down with something nasty.

Of course no one is making any accusations about anything, I was simply making a joke about the 'test flu' , and it was merely a light hearted comment, and no way an implication of anything.

It's all good man, I was more or less restating my reasons for pushing the issue rather than feel "insulted" or anything by you. We cool. :D

Gotcha. Thanks

I asked around and myself as well as two other individuals that i train with, have not seen these postulated side effects. Myself and another are running 9 caps per day, 6/1. The other (160lbs, 5'3") is running 6 caps per day, 5/2.

Could it have anything to do with 'flu season'? As i know many non-PRIME users who are currently sick.

and perhaps a weakened immune system due to the tendency for over-training when supplementing with Prime?

I think the sickness is just something going around this time of year. About 25% of my students in my classes are congested, coughing, and with runny noses. 2 weeks ago I has symptoms similar to walking pneumonia, which a week later became just congestion, and today i'm just about over everything, a case of the sniffles but nothing more.

hmmm interesting hypothesis, and the fact that are sick people all over the place(time of year, etc) this was just waiting to happen.

How can I take Powerfull to potentiate my use of prime?
What is a good dosing schedule?
Is it weight dependent?

Take PowerFULL as i talked about in your other thread Invalid Link Removed

PRIME dosing should be split and taken 3 times per day with a recommended 1 or 2 days off per week. Consume with food; morning, pre-workout and post-workout. Spread them evenly among your daytime hours.

We are very similar in size and i have been taking 3x3, 6/1. It has been working great!

I have a quick question, hopefully answered within the next hour...

I forgot to take my AP before my last meal, which I was done eating at 9:30. Out of curiousity, can I take an AP pre-bed to maximize lipolysis/fat burning over night, and if so, how long should I wait after my meal?

I asked the same question. Mullet said that this would not be the greatest idea due to the lack of any significant energy demands during sleep, which could result in gluconeogenesis (ain't what you'll be wanting during sleep).

SuperCissus RX Dose

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and was wondering if the dose for SuperCissus depends on your body weight. I've had a lot of pain in my left tricep lately and also I believe a separated A/C joint. Just trying to find the best way to help these injuries repair. Thanks in advance.

2 caps of cissus 10 minutes before breakfast and 2 caps of cissus 10 minutes before last meal of the day is all you need to do. Hope this helps!

ye this dosing shedule for supercissus is annoying considering theres only 90 caps per bottle! there should be 120 for a 4 a day dosing to at least give the consumer a months supply for their hard earnt cash!

Thanks, I've only been taking the super cissus for about three days now but already my separated a/c joint and an elbow injury thats been buggin me for a while are feeling much better.

Mullet, in looking at Prime's 12 subject 30-day pilot study, dosage was 18caps a day to get the results listed. realistically, what kind of gains can u really expect if the recommended dosage is followed? Personally I am interested in strength gains, couldn't care less for a 6lb lbm gain like the study folks.

Hey rx,

To my knowledge the study utilized the Beta mixture as the test compound; therefore, results should be directly relative.

The super-concentration of the formula may allow some users to get away with a two-week loading phase of four capsules per day, and then reduce their dosage to two or so per day as needed. This way, they will get about one month's worth of the supplement with a loading phase.

Any resolution or new findings on the sickness issue? It could be a coincidence, but I started Prime on Tues morning and by Wed I started feeling sick also.. Sore throat, not stop runny nose, etc.. I am a USP fan, so I'm not bashing at all , just curious..

Hi guys, ive just finished my first bottle of powerfull and i love it but since useing it my sleep has been so deep im sleeping right through my alarms every morning would taking 1 tablet before bed still give me the gh and benifits or am i wasting my time and better off only pre workout

thanks

Nothing that I could find; if this continues to occur outside of flu/sickness season, I will investigate further!

Just to add fuel to the fire so to speak... my second run of prime also ran into me getting a bit ill around the end of week 2, same as the first run. I doubt it was psychological either because until I got ill I had totally forgotten that it had even occurred the first time. Once again though recovery was relatively quick and now I'm okay again. It's like some weird version of Prime flu lol.
