Questions about lemon verbena in Amino IV

A lot of the supplements I take preworkout contain antioxidants (nac, vitamin c, curcumin and many others) and I know that the benefits of the lemon verbena in Amino IV are that it provides antioxidant effects without hindering adaptations to exercise. So my question is would taking these antioxidants preworkout negate the benefits of the lemon verbena in regards to exercise adaption considering that the antioxidants would still be in my system. I'm pretty sure almost everyone's preworkout supplements contain at least a few antioxidants. I'm just trying to understand the science of it.

as coop will tell you, there's something special about lemon verbena as an antioxidant as its not the same as ones like you mentioned that do that. it dose not effect hypertrophy

I know that but is it still effective for that purpose if it is used in the presence of antioxidants that do have an effect on training adaptations? Hopefully coop will chime in.

I have read it already but it still doesn't explain if lemon verbena is usefull if other antioxidants are taken around the same time in regards to exercise adaptations. I know lemon verbena has other exercise benefits but I just want to know if other antioxidants will ruin the main benefit of it.

Well first, if you take high doses of antioxidants, it doesn't matter if you're doing it with lemon verbena or any other ingredient out there....it's still a hindrance. But that's the thing...the issue is HIGH doses of antioxidants. Most preworkouts contain reasonable/biological amounts that won't cause issues. The negative adaptations arise with megadosing typically. For instance, studies show 500mg NAC improves performance, but 1.2g NAC hinder recovery
