lay on your stomach with your arms straight out over your head. Bend your legs so that your feet are straight in the air. Lift your arms and knees off of the ground so that you are only balancing on your pelvis while sucking in your core. The trick is that you have to keep your knees as far apart as possible in the air.

After a long chat with my girlfriend today and much personal agonizing in my head....we have decided that attending the Arnold Expo would not be in our best interests in about a month.

It really saddens me that I won't have the opportunity to get together with you all after so much build up and looking forward to it happening. We will probably just be moving into our new rental at that time and setting things up and with that plus trying to save every penny for the twins coming soon....it's just not a wise investment right now.

I am going to hope that Ticketmaster will accept me returning the tickets but if not, if someone wants to buy them off me that would work fine also.

2 sets of the 3 day general admission tickets. Came out to $76 with the ticketmaster BS charges and all that jazz. I'd just want to sell them for face, or maybe a little less so I make something on them. I am waiting to hear back from ticketmaster now about the whole thing.

I will be upset to not see you as well :(. I was really looking forward to meeting you and Matt...

Plus when the babies come well, you won't have as much time to do things like that!
 
I know...I was really looking forward to this event too! I most of all wanted to meet everyone and get to just hangout and BS since I literally have made so many friends on here that I think it beats out my real life "friends" total, haha. I have plenty of acquantainces...but not many I call FRIENDS.

I don't think i'm going to be able to make it though. I know I am forfeiting my last trip before having 3 kids running around a house all day long...but monetarily it just doesn't make sense :(
 
That's too bad CTD. I was wanting to go myself but I had to cancel as well.

It's okay man. The arnold will be there for years to come. Cheer up buddy. At least putting off meeting your online pals will mean they will be able to see you in person after more progress... right? That's what being a father is all about man, sacrifice for the greater good of your family. Be proud that you made a wise decision for your family.. gotta take pride in that.

I'm slowly beginning to learn this. I wouldn't go as far as to say that I am self centered in the least bit....but I haven't ever had to sacrifice a great deal for anyone really before. I have already had to make quite a few since i've gotten the news....so it's a hard pill to swallow at first, but i'm getting there. Thanks for the support...or should I say..the kick in the arse of reality, haha
 
February 8th 2009 - Cheat Day

Definitely went ahead and had my cheat meal today....and i'm thrilled that I did. Nothing says "it's sunday" better than a gyro and a dozen wings. I was pumped about it...and still am!

Did BW stuff with my AFL2 client today. He is coming a long way and i'm really excited for the spring to hit in full gear so I can get him out on the grass and learning more about the actual game of football. He has a ton of god given talent and "sports smarts"...but he has a lot to learn about football, how to physically train for it, and how to mentally prepare for it.

After talking with a buddy of mine...i've decided to take on a little new venture with his company. He manufactures all different types of strength and conditioning/speed and agility equipment and has entrusted me to take on a lead sales role. I will basically be putting together a sound catalogue and shopping it to business' and individuals alike. With that said...if anyone needs any equipment, please let me know. Anything at all...I can probably get it for you at a VERY good price ;)

Whats funny is...im not so sure that it completely has set in yet. My girlfriend said to me last night that she doesn't think they're real to me yet. I would have taken offense to it...but she might be right, haha.

Although I don't really need anything ight now (no room, I live in a 1-bedroom apartment) I'd be interested to see what you guys are offering.

In the near future I'm planning on looking into buying a house and the GF and I have already been talking about what type of fitness equipment we want in there, definitely a cardio peice but possible some weights as well.
 
you should talk to AM and work out a deal and be the gear sponsor for the site like NP is the supp sponsor.
 
Obligatory "let me know what's for sale" post. Something like that during this downturn in the economy could be profitable. People may opt for home equipment rather than a gym membership.

awesome to hear the new venture man. are you going to be selling stationary bikes? that is the one piece of equipment i would probably ever buy for myself. pm me if you want.

hows the progress going physique wise?

As far as physique goes...there hasn't been much of a change lately..but i've had trouble completely tightening the diet up. Its tough while trying to move and conserve money and having a pregnant girlfriend at once, haha.

I do however feel stronger, and faster at the same time. Sports training does good things for me ;)

definitely. i mean many of us have trouble with our diets with just a job or school, so i could only imagine how much harder it would be with twins on the way. but, as long as youre feeling good and getting everything done, keep it up. and by getting everything done, i mean life responsibilities more than training.

seems like you guys are on the right track. hope everythings works out the way it needs to.

also, i feel ya on missing the arnold. up until about a month ago i was checking religiously for cheap air fare and hotel rates, but, unemployment isnt enough to make a trip to ohio for a bodybuilding expo haha. holy crap. i should write arnold and tell him the tough economic times wont allow me to visit his expo! he would totally help me out!:rolleyes:
 
haha I didnt even see that reply roland....sorry buddy.

I am not going to make a post for today..but i wanted to let everyone know that I ate terribly, didn't workout, and didn't take any supps because I was unexpectedly out all day long and had to pay $130 to get my car back which leaves like 14 cents or so to my name until Unemployment comes through. Sweet.
 
just dont forget that tax returns are right around the corner CT. Hopefully you will be getting some extra cash back.

I'm just waiting on the owner to get me some more information and we should have the ball rolling in full effect!

Just about anything man...really. I have some inquiries in for other members about larger pieces like treadmills and bikes....but weight plates, kettlebells, bars, plyo boxes, Medicine balls (up to 60lbs), and many other mediums. Just can't wait to get that project moving!! I already have a good amount of pre-sales just waiting on the exact pricing and order forms.

February 12th 2009 - Healing Process!

Today was a good day. I am still trying to finish up the healing process on whatever they hell I tore/sprained in my left arm...so it was more bodyweight work today. I added some extra's though that used my arm just slightly so that I could start working it back into shape. All in All it felt really good...and my hip and knee mobility was out of this world today. I was jogging around places that I would normally walk just because it felt good to do it.

Almost sealed the deal on getting into the house on March 1st. Just have to make sure the landlord accepts the minor changes we asked the realtor to make to the lease and then we're in like flynn. It's kind of a beat up place though so I asked for the keys around the 24th so that I can get in there and do some cleaning and possibly painting before we move all our stuff in.

I might do the same workout as today, tomorrow again. It felt good to loosen up and to work my entire body with just bodyweight. I know it did absolutely nothing for stength or mass development...but it is helping me stay healthy while my arm heals. It is also giving me a bit of extra free time to work out a catalogue for the equipment...as well as set of some demo's for MST at Vitamin Shoppe locations, and finish up the loose touches of my flyer.
