11/29/08 - Day 55

Overview :Today was just kind of a day. I'm really angry still right now about a lot of things that went down at work tonight...so i'm going to make this update fast. I really just want to get some sleep and forget today happened.

I also forgot my pill box today before work...so my supplements lacked big time.

Saturday - I hate my job!:
Nothing to note for today except intense cardio at work, haha.

Also, I just wanted to say that I received another shipment of Coffee from West Coast Roasting Company today and it smells AWESOME!!! I can't wait to try it tomorrow. This time I ordered Ethiopian Harrar Longberry. So amped. If it's nearly as good as the organic fair trade Nicaraguan was....i'm a believer for life!

Also x2, Should be getting another shipment on monday that will make me very very happy! It will bring me the 3rd and final piece of my hair rejuvination puzzle to me! Will keep you updated :). Speaking of that....it definitely looks like I am growing in more hair that was not active before. I am loving this so far.

11/30/08 - Day 56

Overview :Today was another off day as I ended up sleeping a bit later than I wanted to. I'm actually happy that I did because I have been exhausted lately and could use the rest. Tomorrow morning is all about KB's though. I have been itching for a GOOD KB workout for a while now. All my recent ones have been fat burner cycle type workouts...tomorrow is a straight lifting type deal. I also am going to do some practices at something specific ;)

My macros were all effed up today. My girlfriend's father made some homemade potato salad with diced egg and celery and I love when he makes it...however...it has practically zero health benefit other than the egg, haha. I also lacked protein today. Just not enough sources to get my numbers in.

I'll have to go check out that video. I'm totally frustrated by the fact that I have no time toget cardio in. So i'm thinking of getting some kettlebells from target to do a cardioish thing with in the am.

You totally should. I could literally teach you a KB swing over the internet...and it's the best form of cardio in my book. Full body gets activated and it really pounds away at fat. Most women start with a real low weight because they are afraid...but especially for swings...you should look into a 16kg. You'd end up moving up in weight sooner than you think with your work ethic!

100 KB swings broken into sets of 20x5 would take you no longer than 10 minutes also...
 
Some News :

Okay well I wasn't going to say this piece of news for a while yet....but I need some feedback so I will go ahead I suppose. The reason I posted Denisov on that last update is because I can't stop watching his videos...because i'm trying to study him. If he shows up, and if I decide to compete...he'll be my competition....

I have been speaking with someone from the World Kettlebell Club and they are hosting a KB challenge at the Arnold Classic. They will be doing a snatch/jerk biathalon and they will be doing Long Cycle. I am thinking about competing.

I tested my numbers today and I am nowhere even remotely close to standing a chance with the heavy hitters of the sport....but now I have a new goal to train towards ;)

I won't decide whether or not to compete until very close to the Arnold.....but I figured i'd let you all know (the ones that will be attending the AC), that you may get to watch me compete in Kettlebell's....if you've got nothing better to do at the time :whip:

I think you should compete. I'll be stuck at the Arnold every day so it would be fun to have a show to watch with someone I know in it.

I really want to...but if i'm not even close to ready by the time like mid Feb rolls around, I don't wanna embarrass myself either :toofunny:. I am going to push really hard at this and hope to get there in time. When I do KB's from now on, I am going to focus on the lifts that will be tested only (except for adding swings for cardio benefit).

Irish Cannon is going to compete in the 5k pump + run...so thats another person to watch also! I will be there all 3 days too. Not sure if Matt will have me working the booth for all 3 days...but I will be there :)
 
Do they have different levels you can compete in?

amateur and professional.

Amateur uses 24kg kettlebells (what I use now)
Professional uses 32kg kettlebells

Neither division has a weight or age class I don't think. Still waiting on all the final details for it.

Get at it man. I'm still deciding if I want to compete myself in a local competition coming up at the end of January. I am starting my 9 week comp prep workout cycle but I am still sitting on the fence (no homo) about competing there.

North East Regionals for the USAPL
They are in Scranton this year on February 1st.
The event is called
2009 USAPL NE Regional Collegiate Powerlifting Campionships
but anyone can come and lift.
 
Gonna have to post my update tomorrow everyone...I am just too wiped out tonight and I have to be up at 7am for the doctors.

Do it up meng...you actually have less of a drive than I do if you're out in State College.
 
12/1/08 - Day 57

Overview :I wanted to run tests for today to see where I was at physically and if i'd stand much of a chance if I went out to the Ahhhnold to compete in KB's. Today's numbers were far too low to be considered winning numbers. I only ran each cycle for 2 minutes to assess where i'm at. Even if I had the endurance to go for 10 minutes (which is what the competition will be), which I don't right now, I would have missed World Record numbers by a long shot. I was on pace (if I kept up) to have 60 reps of Long Cycle, 140 reps of 2 KB jerk, and 165 reps of 1 KB snatch. Wayyyy off....and i'm nowhere near physically ready endurance or stamina wise to go a full 10 minutes yet. This should be fun :thumbsup:

Only factor that may have slowed me down was...I did this on an empty stomach. Next time I train (the 3rd I believe), I will make sure to have eaten. This hurt me in more ways than one because then I was ridiculously hungry after my workout and I ended up overeating all day long and going over on almost every category.

Sadly I only have 3 days until I cycle off Cre-02 for a month. It's gonna be lonely without my baby.

However, I am waiting on deliveries that are going to bring me a Leviathan Reloaded + DCP stack, Relora, and many more awesome goodness!

I also forgot to mention that I 100% intend to order more NoXidant once i'm out. It has definitely helped me in many ways since the start of taking it...and it's a real life product that anyone could use to help bolster their health!

Well maybe by then if her grandmother misses her dearly, we won't bring her along. I'm not sure 100% yet...but I think we are going to be bringing her.

12/2/08 - Day 58

Overview :Okay so i'm an idiot. I did not know until today when I looked up my macros (after I ate naturally) that Scallops had carbohydrates in them. I assumed since they were of the sea, that they had a very insignificant amount (if any). I was wrong. That effed up my numbers pretty good because I tore through some scallops HARD today. Damnit. I also allowed myself to have a drink that a buddy of mine made at work because I was being nice and trying it. Turned out to be delicious...but not very good on the macros. It was some kind of pumpkin/milk concoction. It's funny how different I feel when taking in high carbs. I never noticed how "bloated" I felt all this time...but now that I reduced them, I notice when I take in too much now (like the last few days).

No workout...but trust me...work was a workout alone today. We have a very important 200+ person banquet tomorrow and on top of that, our new Chief Operations Officer is doing a back of house inspection tomorrow morning...so between setup for the banquet and personal inspections of the back to get everything up to speed....I was doing a TON of moving around. I will get something in tomorrow for sure....even if it's after work when I get home.

Tuesday - Nada!:

^^^I haven't been keeping track so far of how long i've been using Virile Mane, but this is an overhead shot from today. My hair is growing very long (partially because of the VM) so you can't tell as much, but in my "peaks" there is noticable growth for sure...and the top of my head doesn't look AS thin. I am not even done with bottle number one yet....I have 2 more full ones to go ;)

haha yeah I know you were struggling ;)

Yesterday was just the interview thingy where they ask a bunch of questions. Tomorrow however, we get to hear the heartbeat for the first time, and then get an ultrasound to find out "exactly" how far along she is. We think it's about 9 weeks.

If it continues to grow at the rate i've been going...you won't have a problem with that :).
