PT-141 safe after total hysterectomy?

Anyone know anything about PT-141? I had a total hysterectomy meaning no ovaries and no uterus. I would be considered in menopause at 32 y/o. I read on Mayo Clinic “Women who have gone through menopause and men should not use bremelanotide. Do not use this medicine to improve sexual performance.” But that seems like a load of crap since that is what PT-141 is being prescribed for under the name Vyleesi. Yall think I’ll be ok taking it? And yes I’ll be taking it for exactly that lol

I can't see any reason not to. PT-141 works primarily in the brain.

Yeah, that warning confused me too. I’m in a similar boat (surgical menopause), and my doc prescribed PT-141 off-label. It actually helped with desire, especially since hormones alone weren’t cutting it. The Mayo disclaimer is more of a blanket FDA thing, it doesn't mean it's dangerous, just that it's not "officially" approved for postmenopausal women yet. If your doctor knows your situation and is cool with it, you’re probably fine. Just hydrate and be ready for a flushed face and maybe some nausea the first time.
