Liniment gel (yes, the horse product) provides quick pain relief for sore muscles, joints, and tendons. Forget Icy Hot or BioFreeze. Powerlifters, strongmen, and athletes use liniment gel for FAST pain relief. Liniment gel increases blood flow and temperature in the area far beyond products like Icy Hot. Icy Hot contains 1% menthol whereas Thermaflex liniment get contains 4%! It's also less expensive. Check out my review if you'd like more information.

Yes they work. I've had my clients and myself using absorbine Jr horse linament for nearly 20 years now.

We also use Equiblock in strongman. That stuff isn't healing per say but dulls any and every pain allowing you to still train and compete when u otherwise cannot. Just don't get additionally hurt using it.

Think cortisone shots.

I picked this up at Tractor Supply (TSC) yesterday on sale $ 11.99, I tried it on my knees this morning and I can't say that it helped. My knee pain is more joint related so maybe it will be better for muscle pain.

My knee pain is joint related.

McTarnahan’s Absorbent Blue Lotion (sometimes called Jack’s Blue Heat) is what I’ve been using all winter on my knees under my knee sleeves - helps get them warm enough to begin warming up without a lot of pain.

Equiblock sucks. I mean it works great but it is crappy to use. High capsaicin content just burns the **** out of you under a wrap/sleeve, and then burns like crazy when you go to shower. Only useful for competing through pain/final weeks of training before a comp where there is no time to back off. Useful for tendonitis and such. I would use DMSO before this product, personally, if topical analgesic is the goal.

Damn I can't get this stuff in Aus it seems have to get it shipped over which takes awhile normally. I need something for my shoulder it is killing me atm, clicks and feels loose or something, my chiro says its most likely from my winged scapula. I will try get some and just wait I guess.

Have you guys tried hemp oil ? I have some cream that's got hemp, comfrey and arnica that I try on my tennis elbow, helps a little bit, but maybe I will smash it on the shoulder, see if it helps seeing as its a different kind of injury?/pain.

I feel like I need to try this now ........................................ I'm starting to feel like a collector of Topical Pain Relief products !!
Supplements are a slippery slope to other things. I'm also a collector of sorts.

Would this help with a bulging disk?
Try an inversion table or simply hanging from a pull up bar for a few minutes. I had a mildly herniated disc ( as seen on MRI). I asked my orthopedic doctor about inversion therapy and he said as long as it doesn't cause any pain, it's a good idea.

I purchased a cheap inversion table of Amazon and slowly started inverting for a few minutes until i built up the ability to invert 10 mins. As long as I do this a few times a week, my pain is basically zero. Only flare-ups I have are when i use bad form when lifting something.

I was using the capsacian sheets that stick on you and after the third one it literally peeled my skin off and the next time I used the crème almost had me in tears. In burned so bad I had welts. The sheets did work amazing though.

I have used horse liniment for sore muscles infrequently, but also as a base for topicals. Mix in some DMSO if you have joint pain and it can be a pretty strong anti-inflammatory.

I use a brand called bigeloil all the time for my muscles, cheaper and stronger than biofreeze in my experience. Also made for horses...
