protein?

New to the forum but not to training. Try to work out earlier. If you absolutely cant try to go with a scoop of whey with another scoop of casein with water before bed. That way you get the quicker absorbed protein immediately as well as more of a time released protein throughout the night. I always prefer a meal post workout but since you are working out so late I dont think the meal is in your schedule.
 
Whey spikes your blood-protein levels, casein is sustained release... If I were you I would go 1-2 scoops whey immediately post workout... Then right before bed throw down some casein.
 
Depends on what time you go to bed after your workout. IMO, get some immediate protein in the form of a can of tuna or PB sandwhich right after your workout and a scoop of casein. The food will get protein in your system quick and the casein will help you stay anabolic throughout the night. And this way you save and dont have to buy both kinds of protein. Good Luck.
 
All above suggestions are good, you can also just eat some cottage cheese around bedtime for the casein if you don't want to do a liquid form. It will be even more sustained release as it has to digest the larger bolus food particles as opposed to a finely ground powder :). Good luck!
