Hi anabolic minds members im a long time reader first time writer first i just wna say anabolic minds ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!. k now for my question i am 17 im about 5.9 and at the moment i weigh 172 pounds i dont want to say my lifts because i dout many people will belive me :) now is to much protein bad or is it like the more the merrier kind of thing because i have just had my protein isolate and its 90% protein and il be takein 200g of the stuf everyday which is 180g of protein and then i have a good 4-5 meals on top of that which is packed full of protein. thanks i will be lookin forward to reading your coments:D
 
you wanna try for 1.5 and 2 grams for every pound of body weight .... but you want to try and have a more equal split with the other essentials (carbs and fat) with out going way over you maintenance
 
There haven't been any studies done in humans that have shown high protein diets to cause any liver/kidney damage to my knowledge. 1-2g/lb of bodyweight is a good target. Keep your calories high, and you will keep on growing :thumbsup:

Post your lifts man, I need to be embarrased so I can up my motivation. Help me out....:dl:
 
ok but if people dout me not my fault. I do 4 sets of 8-10 with 220lbs my max is 300lbs on bench press. my squats are on a smith machine and i dont go ass to the ground because i dont want to damage my knees i go down just under half way and i do sets with 385lbs. My goal is to hit 330lbs by summer on bench does any 1 think it doable:D oh and keep in mind im only 17 and been lifting seriously for around 1 year but iv learnt alot and now im 1 of the gym gurus in my gym :)
