Prostate support on trt?

What supp do you run while on trt for prostate support?.. the market is flooded with promises..thanks
Was just going to post this question. My dad is 62, and just started TRT through his doctor. His recent bloodwork showed his PSA was high, and the doctor freaked out.

I'm here to learn about this.

keep estrogen down, maybe run nolva occasionally...new info shows estrogen to be more of a culprit than dht...they are researching with serms as alternate treatment to prostate cancer.

Great point. This makes you wonder.

What is worse for you health? Elevated estrogen....or the use of an AI (HDL, bone density)

The AI hate is real nowadays, but it makes me wonder if the elevated estrogen from lack of an AI is worse...

the research is with serms, not AI's. occssionally running nolva should take care of issues if the new research is to be trusted....lots of info, google it and tell me what you think!!!

That's interesting because the SERM doesnt eliminate the amount of estrogen floating around....I'll check it out

I have arimidex and DIM on hand atm.. I run multi v..sunflower lecithin..iodine. black cherry extract..tumeric..right now

I use Invalid Link Removed. It has

Saw Palmetto Extract
Phytosterols (with Beta-Sitosterol)
Stinging Nettle Root Extract (Urtica dioica)
Quercetin
Turmeric Root Extract
Pumpkin Seed Oil
Lycopene
Green Tea Extract
Pomegranate Extract
Trans-Resveratrol
from Japanese Knotweed Extract (Polygonum cuspidatum) (Root)
LinumLife® Complex (Flax Seed Lignan Extract)

It's great for preventing a lot of the DHT related side effects from TRT, plus I've found it's also helped my hairline.

Looks like a legit formula there...tons if stuff in it

I was told by my dr PSA test is a waste of time and money.. gotta get probed to really check the prostate

Yes sir. False high PSA can occur from sex/ejaculation, bike/motorcycle riding, or other groin aggravation such as lower body workouts, up to 48-72 hours before blood draw.

caused my Dad 2 un-needed biopsies. They should do away with the PSA test. His was caused from 40 years of running heavy equipment on a strip job.

PSA is actually testing for IGF-1 levels, which is something you actually want if you're lifting and when you're lifting, your body will increase IGF-1 levels naturally. But, unfortunately, high IGF-1 levels also happen if your prostate is growing a tumor. So, it's a pretty bad taste overall, IMO, but for regular Joes it might have some indicative value.

Watching this thread. My dad had prostate cancer twice and it all started the first time with his inability to control going to urniate and high PSA numbers and biopsy confirmation. He was 67 the first time. It came back a few years later: without a prostate! And he survived it the second time.

He has his prostate removed and chose to be impotent after the first scare.

As a a result, I am a bit worried about ever doing TRT because of the 'cancer scares'. I've been reading about the current research for the last 10 years and most of it is saying 'forget using the PSA' and also that doctors are 'too easily happy to cut out the prostate'... If they're not cutting, they're not making money, right? I'm 43 and my numbers don't warrant TRT yet, but I will likely be there soon.

I'm going to watch this thread to see how you guys are handling the prostate issue related to TRT.

Cheers.

imo, breast cancer gets all the attention which means research dollars. they have made amazing progress in breast cancer treatment...maybe it's time for athletes to wear YELLOW ribbons?

Invalid Link Removed has a great article called Invalid Link Removed that goes over the convention methods for helping with prostate problems and then the naturopathic methods of dealing with it. It explains why the PSA test is total garbage and has way more info that I can post here. I highly recommend reading through it.

damned VA doesn't have cialis in formulary, only viagra...been thinking to get some cialis from 'RC'.....how long does it take for this effect to happen? @Rocket3015

Any of you guys on TRT in this thread have any concerns, or were told of any by your doctor, about TRT and prostate cancer?

Your Doctor needs to read up on the newest research. Low testosterone and high estrogen promote PCa.
