Got two 100’s within an hour of each other! The second one was the xp to push me to lv 39 too which was cool. One totally by accident and one friend told me about that was in the parking lot where we were doing a raid. Can’t wait to evolve them and prob won’t even bother doing raids unless I need candy ha.

I blew through 38 really fast. The last two double xp events (including community day) I blasted out a bunch of lucky eggs and junk evolves I've had forever.

Very nice sir what IV did you end up with here? Mine is up to just over 3400 CP now but you have those fancy lvl 39 CP caps ;)

80% IV. I fed him up to a little over 2600cp for now.

And that’s 1.7mil dust ;)

Haha I haven’t really powered anything up in months. I pretty much have a solid top 15 or so and don’t see much point powering them up any further. When you get them to like 33-3500 cp it’s 12 candies and 10k dust or more to get an extra 15cp so it’s really not even helpful especially with the new gym dynamics. A maxed out mon is only good for bragging rights really.
 
Finally got a great kyogre today too. 96%! Wish it was boosted to save the candy but oh well

Rediculous. I’m not making that drive and I have no chance at another pass until this one expires I guess.

Well in that case no harm no foul on my pass.

I’m seeing speculation that Deoxys will be the next legendary, even though Rayquaza makes more sense as part of the elemental set of 3.

I figured Deoxys would follow Mewtwo as the EX raid (even though I’d prefer Mew) but what you’re saying is right they are whacked out so who knows.

It’s frustrating to be on gen 3 and releasing new raids without at least telling us what is to happen with Mew, the icon legendary of gen. 1

Honestly, id be surprised if they release mew anytime in the near future (years even)... as much as I want to complete the dex, its kinda fun having him out there as that true "mystery" like the games... you never really saw him there.

Hoping for ray vs deoxys just because I don't know much about either and think deox will be a tough one to use/power up. Also the regi's still floating out there

think I kept 5 mr. mime. only was able to get a single farfetch'd when they were available (literally the only one I saw I caught and its a pitiful 77cp ha). Just need a kangaskhan. Did miss out on moltres and lugia tho too due to travel so those are black holes for me.
 
Yeah hopefully the past Legendaries return in some capacity, I need my Ho-Oh!

At least Entei > Moltres
And Mewtwo > Lugia

Missing the dex but at least you’re not missing the top option for those types

true, but my entei is a turd and not worth powering up. While it was pretty epic and lucky that I went 4/4 on beast raids (caught all 3 on the first ball of first try) I wish i could have done more than 1 ha. only reason I got 2 suicune (who sucks anyways) was that i did one when I was in germany by getting lucky on a driveby haha. trying to raid with a group when you and the group dont speak the same language is a bit awkward to say the least. but fun to see how communal the game really can be even across cultural and language barriers. truly unique in that aspect.

in other news... Ray and more! starting tomorrow so there will be some overlap with Ky as well. should be fun but man I can't keep up ha
 
I’m just glad Kyogre will be out.

Ready those Ice/Rock types, or mon with offset dragon attacks!

Should be much easier than Kyogre as TTAR is effective again,

I’ll roll with 3x ttar, Gyrados with dragon att, My best Golems and Rhydon, Articunos as backups if I faint out

Still missing fully evolved gen 3 mon (terrible IV on all starters, etc) so I’m not sure if I’m missing out on anything else effective

Yeah there’s really nothing special I’ve seen in gen 3 outside the starters.

I’m sick of kyogre anyways cuz he always sucks and his movesets are meh at best

I’m psyched for more dragons.

That’s a nice one, if the evolved dragon goes gold as well that may even be cooler than Red Gyrados.

I think I can get my last 230k to hit level 37 tonight evolving with lucky eggs active.

I would hate to evolve this pile now if there are any events coming. I wasn’t playing last Valentines did they have anything boosted?

Did a rayquaza raid today... didn’t catch but it’s WWWAAAYYYY easier than kyogre to hit and catch (8 of the 12 ppl caught).

And swablu won’t be too hard to get 400 cuz they’re EVERYWHERE ha
 
There are now 3 star raids easier than 2 star raids.

Awkward AF but at least there are some 3 stars we can solo now

Yes, just not for me with my lineup.

Few guys here have solo’d every 3, but I could never get it in time.

Azumarill I took down just fine, more time left than when I hit a 2-star Cloyster

I think the raid boss system is just very friendly to Cloyster. I recall hearing all tier bosses have standardized health boosts, which means mon with low health end up with the same health as mon that had higher health. But Cloyster has very high defense, so ends up much tankier than other bosses.
 
That makes sense, plus right now he is almost always boosted.

Tackled a Rayquaza, Jana caught it and somehow I missed it even with landing 8 great curves with goldens. Was definitely just poor luck, I was the only one there to miss it

I hit my one Friday with 4 excellent curves in a row at the end and Golden’s and never got more than one spin ha
 
I under-throw far more often than over, when I curve.
I always throw when the pokemon is mid-screen (not left or right, up is fine just release your finger higher on the screen) and with my phone screen a perfect throw is at a 45 deg. Angle dragged about 2.5”. My point is just try to find a way you can be consistent throwing from one spot and practise the length of “finger drag” to hit mid-screen

Pokemon, it’s a science ;)

Def more under than over except on some small flying types where it almost seems to glitch to an auto overthrow (almost through them sometimes).

I actually play way too much and can throw curves with either hand, thumbs only, etc. cold weather makes you learn to keep one hand in a pocket haha.

hahaha that's awesome... There was a guy in ATL a few months back that literally spent weeks ensuring that he stopped at 4,999,999 when he was about to turn 40. insane how much effort that took

This is a long term commitment to max out for sure... And after coming this far I’m sure not giving up

Random Q for you, how many copies of the legendaries are you keeping? Even though he was a nightmare to catch I ended up with 8-9 Kyogres because it has been the legendary raid for so long.

I kept 2 decent ones to be double water, 1 w/ thunder and 1 w/ blizzard.
Usually I just keep my 2 best IV of each Kyogre just happened to have really useful secondary move type options.

I’ve seen guys here who keep pages of scrolling worth of each. That serves no purpose but for bragging lol

I usually only keep 203 of anything unless its something dominant like Dragonite or ttar. Even ttar I only have 4 decent ones and one isn't even powered up at all (2500ish i think). I only have 1 of each of the beasts, 1 of the birds (no moltres or lugia tho), and 3 groudon. I think I have 7 kyogre but am hoping for a double candy event for valentines day to toss a few of the garbage ones. Frankly theyre not all that useful outside of double water moves so not really worth anythign.
