I just got the silver legendary raid medal for 100 legendary raids; 1000 to get gold WTF

That is $1000 of raid passes at standard pricing...

I saw a guy and his wife hit 1000 just today... they’re legit crazy. Start at 6am every sat and Sunday and only do legendary all day long. They did 51 in one day last weekend.

The gas and pass $ alone has to be crazy.

Doubled Stardust and egg bonuses.
So now I’m wondering...
if Bulbasaur will be a 300 dust per catch like other event Pokemon this overlapping event would make it 600 each?!

Add a multiplier, 900?
Because if that’s the case I’ll be going hard


Or if they worded that update like total asshats, the dust bonus is only on egg hatches...

Yeah I’m actually way more excited about the event than community day ha. New shinies too (magby, togepi, wobbuffet).

Finally caught my first shiny swablu just this evening. Only took 389 haha

I’m working on evolving my 3rd now, so damn common in my subdivision and parks here. (Meanwhile I’m at... 170 or so on my Wailmer)

Still my one shiny Swablu. Saw a guy with 7 shiny Lugias today... I’ve gone 11/12 but no Shiny appearance yet

wow... A guy last weekend I saw had 5 shiny lugia each he and his wife... they're nuts tho (50 raids/day every sat/sun...) I'm a little further (maybe like 250 wailmer) but still not there. I ahtched 4/5 of my last 2k's tho which helped a ton.. beldum and bagon are gonna be the biggest pains for me. Been walking my bacon for weeks now and still only up to like 75 candy. I do have a full batch of 10k's tho all from the "dragon/windy" time so i'm hoping theres a few in there.

I ended up with 6 shinys in only about 2hrs. Evolved one all the way and the 98 ivy I had sitting around for the frenzy plant. Still have 200+ candies so a few more to evolve too. It was cloudy so I have a ton of high cp ones too (21 over 800cp). Did one lugia raid too but it ran on me. 3.3mil into lv 39 too
 
I was out about 2 hours too, ultra balls mainly just because they were spawning as fast as I could catch and I wanted to 1-throw more of them

These new features sound interesting. The “research” and questing. Screen shots showed rare candy as a prize, chance at a Legendary appearance which may even be Mew the way they brought him up in it.

They nerfed the escape rate for sure during the event becuase I was able to 1 ball / speed catch about 75% or better just with regualr balls... with great balls it was like 90% and ultra basically 100. It was absolutely nothing like catching them normally. For ref, I went to catch one this morning and threw 9 balls at it ha.

Haha my baby 100... he's adorable. and someday after 40 will be a dust pit ;) I have quite a few 100's that are below 1000cp and totally useless. I'm gonna need every bit of the 2.3Mil dust I have right now and more to max a few useful things.

I'm super excited about the whole Mew hype and the "research" stuff. It sounds like the kind of things I can do on my own which makes my life so much easier, especially since i'm about to transition to a new project and towns which means starting to try to find helpers for raids all over again. Fingers crossed I get my shot at Moltres sooner now too ha.

But Mew... so excited just to see that little guy. Such an icon, especially since he wasn't even a "playable" game character in the handhelds... this will really be the first time which is cool
 
True we had to glitch the game to get Mew on Gameboy, then I linked up my cartridge to Pokemon Stadium and destroyed the game with Mew/Mewtwo lol

It does sound all one player so I’m excited for it too, can do it on our own free time as we get it instead of hoping free time lines up with a group raiding nearby

Can’t wait to see how he will be attainable, this was a long wait and the anticipation is full gear.

And dammit it looks cool shiny too, I’m sure catching any Mew will take some effort
 
Looks like Mew is going to have a 100% catch rate and a 0% flee rate.

If you find it, it is a guaranteed catch.

Has a huge move pool too.

It’s likely the final stage of the “mythical research”. I’ve heard the tasks get as tough as “evolve a magikarp” which would be a huge pain if you didn’t have any candies stocked up.
 
So the 8bit characters were fun/funny at first but now I’m just annoyed cuz I can’t tell what’s on my nearby without squinting ha

It looks real cool in the dex but shouldn’t be in the way of gameplay (nearby) because you’te spot on it’s impossible to differentiate between a bunch of mon now without blowing up the image
 
If a Gyrados evolve is a quest step I’d be pretty cranky. I’ve only ever evolved one and my next is 250 away, nowhere near water.

Gonna have to make some trips to the lakes ha. I’m just glad I’ve been hoarding candies for those and swablu and such hoping for a 100% or really good shiny.
 
I have 630 for Swablu even after my evolved ones

I might see 1 karp a week though so Beach time I suppose.
Or maybe look to lure a stop on the Thames River here somewhere a few dozen times lol

6/8 since the return (the one was from the first round when I didn’t catch). And I now have 2 shiny!
 
I got my first shiny now :)

Made me curious of my Dex record, I forgot how awful I did in his initial release I only caught 1 of 6 or 7 so my ratio here is awful

Stumbled upon a random group here in TO and caught me a northern dragon ha.

These things are a huge pain to hit. Very small and dodgy

Not really useful for anything. As a tier 2 option like you listed but overall it’s meh at best. Dex entry
 
Ok good, need another bundle with raid passes before I can hunt a legendary again

I blew a bunch extra attempting to solo 3’s last month. Just 3 left to beat now unless they rotate all the raid bosses again...

I would love to see a chance to get legendaries without raids, even if it’s a lot more effort (as in multiple research tasks).
 
heard nothing but moltres so far... I swear the pokegods have heard my cries haha... lugia and moltres were all I asked for and poof, the first two returns!

Should get my shot at moltres tomorrow bright nd early... 6;15am flight out of TO... can't wait for that ugh.
 
Got my moltres this morning (another Canadian special ha). Back to a full dex again as soon as I get 22 more bagon candies

I think they should cycle your first 3 Field Research streaks as the birds, then 4-6 can be the dogs...

I’m liking this a lot.

The mini quests added makes this so much more enjoyable than just hunting aimlessly, plus I’m recouping Pokeballs, getting otherwise rare pokemon appearances...

In the Mew questing I am stuck on finding 10 ghosts still, I even raided for a Duskull yesterday

Come to Michigan, we got ghost everywhere. Always catching those things
 
Last year at night time all I ever saw was Ghastly/Drowzee

Now I need a Fog weather setting to have a chance it seems

Man I found 10 ghosts on my way to work one of the days I was in TO. 7-8am or really anytime in the night and they were pretty much every few min.

I got my new yesterday after teaming up with a couple guys to do the 10 raids (we just found an absol, lost 9 times with 1 person jumping out each time to start the lobby early) and beat it the 10th. The last stage is all super easy (1 excellent curve,use 50berries on mons, and gold kanto badge). Took like 45minto do that ha.

Bummer tho was both the mewtwo (73) and mew (76) I got were garbage
 
Aww sorry to see those IV’s, though Mew would be pretty hard to actually use anyways.

Jana is killing it for luck lately but this Latios will not stay in a ball for me. Just missed a 2069... 2075 perfect I think? In any case this thing sucks to catch, 1/5 for me

Yeah I’ve been having about the same catch luck (2/5) but the best I’ve seen was 2043 I think. My two are 76 and 87.

im happy for a 2x candy event finally... need to transfer a few legendaries and some other stuff (like the pile of useless snorlaxes now ha). just needed an excuse to toss some of these guys i've been hoarding but not using.
