For a year now, I have been struggling with sufficient workout energy. Years back, I used to take Jack3d, but see that it's been banned in Europe. I'm not interested in any controversial ingredients, so I decided to give Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Pre-Workout a try. I did get a bit of a surge of energy during the rowing and I was recovering faster between sets, so I'm pleased with it so far. I'm considering Xwerks Ignite or 4 Gauge next time though.
