prime first week review

I know that one week isn't long enough to accurately conclude if a supplement is good or bad, but I decided to give me opinion because I keep seeing people hate on prime when they have not even used it.

Background
First of all I am not taking any supplements that would account for the effects that prime is supposed to deliver. Other then the obvious everydays such as protein and a multi, I only am currently using Recreate and Leviathan Reloaded(pre work out only). I have been on both supps for about 20-30 days so far so I am aware of what both do and what they don't do. I am not confusing the effects of other supps with PRIME. Im in the middle of a recomp where my final goal is 235 while keeping strength up. At the end of a PS cycle a few months ago I was 270 and stronger then ever before. After PCT I decided to recomp because I was simply too large to be comfortable. I am down to 245 and my strength is only down significantly on squats. Anyway because I mainly lift for numbers this recomp has really made me unmotivated to lift becasue I am used to numbers staying the same or increasing. So now enter PRIME.

Review
First of all I have some of the same sides that others have been reporting such as hunger and increased sweating. These are no big deal to me and actually indicate to me that Prime has acted on my metabolic rate which would indicate some form of anabolism. Now for the actual effects, I am up from 242 to 245, kinda counter productive to my recomp but I don't feel like it is unwanted weight. Today was bench and supporting exercises for me, and strength was significantly up from last week while eating at or below maintenance. The pump was also great in the gym today, better then AAKG for sure.
Lastly and most importantly all weekend( off days) all I could think about was lifting and today I had to make myself leave the gym. No longer am I dreading the gym and I am now actually enjoying my recomp. My initial review of PRIME is very satisfied, but more time will be needed to judge the actual anabolic effects and acompanied results.

well all i know is i must be experiencing this alpha male thing because since starting prime I feel pumped, I feel physced and at times looking for a fight. Havent really felt the more hungry thing and probally wont because Im always hungry. Increased sweating, not really more then usual.

Nice 1 week review mate. Prime doesn't seem to be getting a warm reception in my neck of the woods (England). I'm a big fan of USPLabs products, won a bottle of AP for saying so too. What's putting people off is the marketing. I write reviews over on MT, hoping to get hold of a bottle or two of Prime to review and maybe show people the light! I'm a rep for a website and have been on at the owner to stock USP's full range. He's only got AP at the moment, bummer because I want free Prime and Recreate :( But I get free RPM+Drive, and DS's etc yay!

I am a fan of USP products as well but some of the advertising and reviews seem to be stating what many believe to be impossible. Even if Prime worked at 70% of it's claim it would be a superior product. I just wish everything came in on a less than 'seems too good to be real' approach.

For example: Gaining several pounds of muscle in 7 days while eating at maint or below calories?

Didn't say it should. Many things are overhyped and still work well. The reason you have some people upset is they feel it should perform exactly as stated.

Buying a car that says it'll go 200mph because of it's top end advertising and finding out it will only go 180mph would upset some people. However, 180mph is still fast as ****. If you go into it with an attitude "if it does 200 great! but i'll be happy at 180 for that price." is where a lot of us fall, I believe.

I never said i gained several pounds of muscle in 7 days. I just said my weight changed. I realize it is not possible to gains 3 pounds of muscle in 7 days with prime or even most steroids. I though my review was unbiased and lacking any outrageous claims. I commented mostly on the way it made me feel which is absolutely possible for a product to do in 7 days.

Well, by definition of eating at or below your maint. means that it could only be water and/or muscle gain. Not trying to cause any trouble or make it seem like you're telling false stories. Just want to sort through the positive and negative posts and get as much realistic claims as possible.

did you weigh in the morning, before any food, drink etc?

I vary several pounds depending upon what time of day I weigh myself. I could quite happily go from 184 (what I am currently) to 187 in 5 days if I weighed myself in the morning on monday and the evening on friday lol.

good to hear your feedback by the way.

Personally i've been on prime for about 5 days now, seem to have more hunger but i've had the long weekend from hell (fri - sun) as regards diet and should have been eating more. Most workouts have been good, although today's was rubbish. Well, the workout wasn't bad - I pushed fairly hard and had a fair old pump going on, which is the first time i have noticed prime having any sort of pump effect, but the weights were down from last week. Just one of those things I think, hadn't eaten enough today and it had been a long day... no supplement is going to make up for not eating reasonably. weight is up about 1 lb on this time last week, mirror says i'm possibly a bit leaner too. I am also on week 3 of rpm and neovar stack by the way.

I hear what your saying and I agree, but I just don't want to be included in the category of people that make outrageous claims that are unbelievable. I was simply recording a stat that would have been of interest in a short term review of a supplement. I did not will not make muscle gain claims about any supplement after only 7 days of use. I should have been more clear.

No I always weigh at the same time right before my workout. This weight issue is really irrelevant, I don't think it was muscle weight it was just an observation. Sorry for the confusion.

A small suggestion if I may:

While everybody's curiosity is both warranted and welcome, berating those who seek to satisfy that curiosity is counterintuitive to obtaining reviews; allow him to give his view - which appeared to be somewhat unbiased - and give constructive criticism.

OP,

I thought your review was fine, and agree that weight was not exclusively muscle at this point. However, with that being said, it most likely was not FM (Fat Mass) either.

I enjoyed reading you feedback bro, thanks for sharing. I know there is a lot of hype with this product but I have three bottles of prime and will decide for myself if it works or not...I think the problem is too many people comment about this product before trying it!!!

It sounds unbelievable to me as well. I was a bit 'taken back' from it...

Mullet... how about them rep packages? I'm out of all USP products right now.

Here is a little update on my thoughts from my second week of prime so far.

Attitude in the Gym- To accurately judge this I dropped leviathan, and I did notice a slight decrease in energy from when the two were stacked. This however is made up for by the determination and drive that prime seems to give me. It could be a placebo, but its hard for me to believe that because I have been amped to take many products in the past and received poor results.

Strength- I set a PR doing dead lifts yesterday, but I have been training them very hard for the last few months. That being said I have seen increases in weight or amount of reps in around half of my heaviest sets this week. The increases I believe are from the extremely positive attitude that I have had going into these sets, and I attribute this to prime.

Size/Weight- No change, but I am not eating to gain weight. So I am the wrong person to judge this.

Recomp- Too early to judge this yet. I have received some comments on changes in my appearance, but like I said in my OP i have been recomping for about two months now.

Pump- This is so far the most noticeable effect of prime. When I leave the gym no matter what I work my shoulders and back hurt kinda similar to the pump from real anabolics. I would say somewhere between NO products and the real deal.

Sides- Nothing other then sweating and never being full which sucks when you are on a recomp diet.

I am still very pleased with prime. From experience though I will tell you if you want prime to feel like say superdrol it wont and you will be disappointed. However if you are realistic about what a non hormonal product can do, you will like prime.

I'm liking it thus far. The mental drive and determination I've had in the gym over the last week has been quite high.. I've never felt this way, not even with a decent amount of test prop running through me.

Well i'll certainly be buying it again.

today i did legs and last week (before prime) i hit all my targets so this week it was time to up the weights.

I nailed it, i actually held back in the number of reps of squats and instead did an complete extra set. I honestly reckon that if i had seriously pushed myself i would have hit all my max reps targets and been ready to go up again next week. Instead (given the comments by others of overtraining on Prime) i held back and, as i say, did an extra set.

Cant wait for next week, see if i can hit those max targets then!

I take the advertising of this product with a grain of salt. I understand that USP have to hype the product a little if you look at the claims all the other supp companies promises.

I am on day 8 and love it so far. My only problem is that I want an extra bottle so I can go for two months :( Hope nutra carries it soooon.

Thought I'd add my week 1 experiences too seeing as this seems to have become something of a gathering of experiences, and I have just finished week 1 (7days solid, going to run 7 days a week for at least the first 2 weeks).

First half of the week I felt no different. I didn't get any of the euphoria that some mention, I did get a bit more peckish but no ravenous hunger. I wouldn't say the workouts were exceptional either, perfectly okay but nothing crazy.

The last 3 days have been a bit different though... 3 workouts, all pretty hard core. This product is the first thing that's ever given me a noticeably harder pump and solid feeling in the gym... I haven't moved any heavier weights, but the intensity has been right up there, and i've left the gym really satisfied. Today's leg workout had me struggling to stand up and shuffle across the gym at points but still I kept on going - pretty awesome stuff, especially since I don't usually enjoy legs. I actually loved doing them today!

Drive in the gym has definately gone up last couple of days, and that combined with the desire to eat more regularly from prime is sure to bear fruit. As of yet I am the same weight (about 1lb heavier, but that means nothing i change that much from week to week all the time) and possibly looking slightly leaner but not much... Here's to hoping things will start to take off in week 2 and 3!

Yea all the effects seems to get a little more pronounced in week two, at least they did for me. I'm glad to see others are enjoying prime as much as me.

Wow, one week in and you do not even give it a chance and attack an honest review beceause it's living up to the advertised claims.

Let the reviews surface and then attack or accept the product, geezzzz!

I gurantee another natural product will never touch PRIME and it will compete with the it's synthetic counterparts.
